Quoted from whisper:congrats on the pick up MJW looks awesome, how are you enjoying the game?? Ive never seen the boss model it looks great, I had a game on the pro and really enjoyed it, have you noticed much of a difference between the two models???
Thanks Whisper. I'm liking it. I played the pro at a local theatre and dug it. I collect car themed pins and own a lot of mustangs so it was a good fit. It has a numbered plaque from Stern that surprised me.Mine is #87.
Is it worth the extra money from a pro? Not really considering you don't get a whole lot of extra toys but I like premiums and custom touches. I also liked the artwork better. This is my second Refinery pin.
Put a shaker in today and will add external sub tommorow. Custom songs would really be cool on this game. Some day maybe I can figure out pinball browser or get some help.
Quoted from MustangPaul:Sweet, love the Refinery's attention to detail, I have their MET. Like the shifter pattern shooter housing. Is your turntable '70 Grabber Orange Boss 302? Hard to tell for sure only seeing only that much.
It is a yellow boss 302. I want to change it out to a white one that has 50 years of mustang on it. Summit was selling them. I gotta figure out how involved the swap is. Alum flipper bats with blue super bands are up next.
Glad I went with Hooked tach mod. Really neat mod.
I'll try to take some better pictures tommorow when I have more light. The powder coat looks better than pictures show. The shift pattern is the one shapeways sells.
Thanks Paul
Quoted from MustangPaul:What model Mustang is that protector for?
According to pin protection it is for all. I didn't realize prem already had one. I'll give you a better deal if you need one Paul. You got some nice mods on yours.
Quoted from MustangPaul:All? That's a really different design. Thanks for the offer but I already have a Cliffy on mine. Hey thanks, I still have a Cobra night light for sale so you can make one just like mine.
Thanks Paul, I'll double check check Pin protection ebay ad.
Quoted from HOOKED:That topper is available at Hobby Lobby

Thanks hooked . I got mine at Griots or Summit Racing for a little cheaper. Added some laseriiffic led strip that are sold on Pinball Life.
Quoted from HOOKED:This would be simple install....would come with double side tape factory cut 3m stuff.
Simply remove your shooter install the piece and reinstall shooter.
We could do a vote on which to make 4 speed or 5.
Dam , should have waited to get mine. Would have saved some cash.
Quoted from swinks:Sorry MJW, Hooked just contacted me the other day offering a new option only if people are interested.
arh but you launch (the ball) off in first gear
This could also be used in other car games or games with a car theme like CFTBL (Drive In), Taxi etc.
No problem , that's how it goes in this hobby. It's probably best to wait before buying something new but I never seem to be able to.
I like your pinball mods Paul but please finish your car. That would drive me nuts to have a car down that long. Yeah, I have eight.
Quoted from Eskaybee:Oh, and btw....I'm in the club!!!

Underrated game for sure! But if it weren't for pinball browser, I would never have got one.
What number did you get?
Quoted from MustangPaul:Mine stick a little but I have the clear ones on and they are known to do that.
Someone did a post on clear flipper buttons sticking Paul. The suggestion was to take them apart and do something but can't remember what.
I tend to over mod my games and add toys.i was was once told my ac/dc looked like an episode of hoarders. Lol I'm not digging your selection but it's your game, have fun with it. I'm sure the same could be said about my games by other people.
Quoted from sirlonzelot:Did anyone an orange powder on the boss and can show some picture?
Or which is the color to go with boss ?
Thanks
I went with gloss black that has some sparkle mixed in the color. Not sure what the name of the powder coat was. Pinball Refinery had it done .
Nice fox body. I have a few as well. What number is your premium? I think mine is 87. Haven’t heard of many numbers over 100 on the boss .
Quoted from Darcy:This photo is a little disturbing.

Ford can call it anything else, Torino, Cougar, Capri, Talladega, Spoiler, Cyclone, Galaxy, Comet, Falcon, Fairlane, Fusion GT, for the love of Pete, not Mustang!
Agreed. Sad.... wtf is ford thinking.
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:I have these valve covers on my Mustang and they look really cool! Love the detailed chrome and the lit up up red "351's"!
Same here. They are nice.
Quoted from jcar302:Are there any foxbody mods that people do to this machine?
I picked up a nice players white water on trade, but it's not on my list of games I'd prefer to own.
Mustang is.
Is there a reason the mustang for sale in NJ has been for sale for half a year and hasn't sold?
I've typically been a Williams guy, never owned a stern, but as a fox mustang guy I really would like to at least try one out.
Is there one on location anywhere in NJ?
I’m a fox body guy and can’t think of any fox body mods for this game. Not sure what you mean. The tach from Hooked is cool. Also small purple nitrous bottles match the targets.
Quoted from MJW:Looks great. Amazing how much detail is missed when dmd is not color.
Quoted from minishark:Love my colordmd. Had a hiccup or two with the install but Randy got it straightened out ASAP. Great customer service as usual.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
What kind of issues did you have?
Quoted from freddy:Installed this original Hurst T Handel . (These came in the 70-71 boss mustangs )[quoted image][quoted image]
I have premium # 87 but had same shifter idea for my NGS. I like how you colored the gear #s. Nice contrast.

I meant the shift gate plate ...
Quoted from HOOKED:We still have the shifter plates in stock and the Hurst logo shooter.
Would suggest getting them before Hotwheels is released.

Noted Robert. Thanks.
Quoted from MadMaxDad:I sent an email about the ad - they have a NIB BOSS
I have this one and wonder what I should list for.
I bought it to do the ColorDMD coloring/programming. When I got it - it had 6 plays.
So the additional 70 were with the glass off for testing.[quoted image]
Yeah I reached out to them as well to verify.
I’m at 1083 plays on mine.
Quoted from MustangPaul:Oh nice Leg Lights, I put red on my Pro.
Yeah they are from you Paul.
Sadly leaving the club as Refinery Boss Prem #87 sale is pending.
Quoted from BudManPinFan:Still enjoying my LE, only issue is a couple of the drop down targets aren’t registering so I can’t complete drag race mode in one ball, which kind of ruins any good game you’re having. When I get some time I need to see what’s going on.
Try adjusting spring mounting position on the drop so the will fall easier. Worked for me for all except the far right one.

Hope you got a good price for it, not many of the BOSS (premium) editions around.
Thanks. I will miss it as I’m also a mustang car enthusiast.
Quoted from freddy:Mine is never leaving! Willed to my son.
Glad to hear it. Don’t blame you.
Health and finances is the only reason it’s leaving.
