Quoted from stevevt:I like Mustang more than IM (or even my new Star Trek), but I'm sure I'm in the minority.
I recommend playing Mustang as much as you can and watching as much video as you can before jumping in.
I've had some time on the Pro (once at Modern Pinball NYC and another at Allentown)... seems like a really fun game... so I know that it feels good in the hands.
Alright mustang owners, 2 questions:
Has anyone tried to gauge how many LE's and premiums were actually made?
For you original buyers... how has the game held up (play wise) in your collection? Are the rules solid and pretty much complete?
So... there's roughly 600-650 of the "Prem/LE" versions made. I highly doubt they'll make more of this game... I wonder if there's a chance that Mustang will end up being one of the more collectable games made from this era of Stern. It certainly wouldn't be based on manufactured/forced collectability.
Sometimes the things that are truly limited by way of forces outside of marketing/manufacturing are the ones that end up becoming the most desirable years down the road...
Quoted from littlecammi:Your tach mod works great, looks great and is priced fairly. It's a must-have mod for any version Mustang pin.
+1 to dealing with Hooked. A few years ago I bought a TWD barn mod from him... had an issue due to an error on my end, and he stepped right up and fixed the issue. Top notch quality guy.
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:Yeah - twas a sad day, but life goes on. Of all my games, I felt that I had gotten the most out of my Mustang and I was looking to change up my collection somewhat.
Still a BIG fan of the game though!
It feels like all that was right in the pinball universe has been shredded, stomped on, and turned upside down!
What is power shift... how does it differ from pro to premium?
Added over 5 years ago:Found answer in rules doc link in this thread
Quoted from ccbiggsoo7:I just sold a huo mint le not a scratch 450 games on it for $6k
Any mods on it?
Hey folks! Just joined the owners club. My game has the Hooked Tach meter… it lights up, but the needle doesn’t move when the spinner is hit.
The spinner switch is definitely working… as far as I can tell, the tach is hooked up.
Thoughts?
Quoted from freddy:Not many for sure
Speculation is 300 but who really knows?
They made more than 300 pro models. The prem/LE models are the ones that were short lived on the line
Quoted from freddy:How many more?
Don’t see them around
Have many collector friends and only two own pros that I sourced for them. And I know that two were turned into Ferris Bullers .
The pro is Defiantly a rare horse!
Speculation says 125 premiums were made.
Speculation also says all 500 Le were not made.
Confirmation on production numbers would be nice if someone can confirm.
Not sure, but Pros did return for a second run on the line. Prem, LE didn’t.
Not arguing that they all aren’t rare. But I think there’s prob more than 300 pros. Speculation, of course.
Quoted from freddy:Verify your build date . They only made 50 with the badge on April 17th
Verified true?
Quoted from freddy:Yes
Gives it the true to date 50 year anniversary cred. (Built 50 years from mustangs official release date!) just a little somth’n somth’n
That’s a fun touch
Quoted from koji:This was fun. Lol
Serious question tho. On average how many whirlpool switches are most people getting without nudges?
[quoted image]
Maybe 5?
