Happens to me all the time. Typical.
Quoted from Kevlar:I've recently bought a mustang pro, one thing I notice is a ball often gets stuck behind the left ramp, sometimes during multiball and sometimes when shooting the left orbit, the ball bouncing back off the up post to get stuck behind the lowered ramp. Ball search releases it obviously but I'm wondering if this is typical Mustang behaviour or whether I have a fault?
Quoted from 27dnast:What are premiums and LEs selling for these days?
I just sold a huo mint le not a scratch 450 games on it for $6k
Quoted from ccbiggsoo7:I just sold a huo mint le not a scratch 450 games on it for $6k
Any mods on it?
Everything is taking a hit due to market saturation. I have not.seen an le under 6 but I have seen a pro routed game at 3900. When bigger name le start to dip it just reflects current market. Also summer is best time to buy.
Does anyone know what type of bulb/led goes in the Ford/Mystery insert between the flippers? Mine has a blue led of some sort in there that ghosts horribly. I've tried a few comet non ghosting leds in there and they didn't light at all.

Looking further, it's lamp no.108 and part of the extended lamps group ( all the lamps on signs above the playfield, and the grid ). I had the same thing when I tried to replace LED's in the signs, they just didn't work. Clearly they are a different voltage or something. I'm sure this will have come up before, does anyone know what LED's to fit as replacements?

I have a Premium and the Mystery Ford (#108) is a board light part# 520-5307-00. It's not the same lights as the sign lights, they are bayonet style.

This light is from my Short Cut (#104) 6.3 volts

I'm thinking someone change it. Both Pinball Life and Marco carry the 520-5307-00.
Quoted from Kevlar:Thanks Spiderpin, it has been replaced. I'll get a board ordered.[quoted image]
Looks like the diode is backwards. That may be why it's ghosting.

Well spotted! .
Quoted from Schwaggs:Just joined the club last week! Picked up Hooked’s original modded Pro from a friend of mine. Great looking and playing game! I remember being tempted to buy it when Hooked was selling it at SFGE several years ago! So shiny!
Good to see it stayed in the family. The center car i used is very rare now. Last one I saw.sold for just under 100 on Ebay. Very fun pro set up.
Quoted from Schwaggs:Stupid question: What scale is the car in the middle of the playfield?
1/24 Maisto
I'm a bit late to the Party, but here is my Boss premium.
Got it this week end, and we used it for tournament play. Played like a charm!
I don't think anyone around played a Prem/LE before, so that was a first.
Still got yours, Paul?

What number is your Boss premium? There seem to be fewer premiums than LEs.

Glad to see you got one, a Premium too. Gee I wonder if playing my Pro had anything to do with you getting the game. Oh you bet I still have it, it's like my Mustang car....IT AINT EVER GONNA LEAVE! Have a blast with your new toy. Oh and the Mustang car is almost done. Just a few weeks away now.
IMGA0925 (resized).JPGQuoted from littlecammi:What number is your Boss premium? There seem to be fewer premiums than LEs.
Number 65. I read somewhere in this thread 120 were made - highest number I read was 109 but I could be mistaken. It's the first one I ever saw. It was fun to use for tournament play, knowing that no one ever played a Prem or LE before.
Quoted from MustangPaul:Gee I wonder if playing my Pro had anything to do with you getting the game
It does

50th birthday approaching (2020?), right?
Quoted from Kevlar:Thanks Spiderpin, it has been replaced. I'll get a board ordered.[quoted image]
This lamp shouldn’t have a diode on it. Since it is part of the extended lights group.
Quoted from jlm33:50th birthday approaching (2020?), right?
Yup, mine will be 50 May 1st of 20.
As I understand it the 2 flashers under the playfield behind the car are lit when double scoring is running. On my pro, with the car that's fitted you'd have to be 7 feet tall to see these flashers. Has anyone added a mod or something extended off these so they're visible?
Quoted from Spiderpin:An auto legend
Absolutely. A car legend. A businessman legend. RIP....
Been playing Mustang digitally in TPA and always wondered, how do we make the ball use the cross over ramp in the middle? Been playing a lot of this table, and i never saw the ball use that ramp.
Quoted from HighFive:Been playing Mustang digitally in TPA and always wondered, how do we make the ball use the cross over ramp in the middle? Been playing a lot of this table, and i never saw the ball use that ramp.
The cross ramp is only on the Premium and LE.
The games flyer, names it 'Racing Line Diverter'.
"The Racing Line is the route the ball must take in order to minimize the time taken to complete the course."
After the ball travels through the ball guide on the left a few times that diverter will switch other ball guide, or is it the other way around?
I never had much time with this pin until this weekend when I stayed at a resort in NH that had one in the game room. Filthy but actually played well. Replay threshold was around 40 mil so I was able to get free games a plenty. Grand champ was 145 mil, finally beat it out after a couple hours play with 178 mil. Is this considered a high score for this game? It did seem quite a chore to attain although I was not well versed. Anyway overall I enjoyed the game and it was nice to have around during my vacation. Cheers.

It takes over 400 mil to make the posted top 10 but 170 mil is a respectable score. When I had a pro my best score was 382 mil but generally I felt pretty good anything over 150 mil.
Finally made it to Silver Ball Stampede! Totally worth the effort. I drained almost immediately and the score isn’t even on the board, but I finally made it.

It's actually not my favorite mode... I love Drifting: "That - Was - So - COOL!" puts a nice end to it.
Very balanced / interesting mini Wizard mode, even if not a Multiball.

01AF203B-0253-48B5-8ED0-682132050B9A (resized).pngPrem is the lowest volume run. But all versions are solid.
If anyone is interested I have a full set of the le art set. These are printed on foil backing.
I bought a NIB Pro when they came out and it's a tank. I've modded the heck out of mine and now call it a Promium. I sure wish someone would do the dmd in color, I want it sooooo bad. I KNOW it would sell good. BB is metal with wood sides. Boss 302 version for sale in Market Place, in Provo, UT $5900 if your interested.
Yea Pro here as well, 2nd owner and threw all the mods on it minus the speedometer that goes over the pop bumpers. It's a solid game and love playing it every time.
Quoted from MustangPaul:I sure wish someone would do the dmd in color, I want it sooooo bad.
+1
Whoever was working on it must have lost interest. Maybe ColorDMD should get some new blood on the project.

All the mods? I'll bet you don't have my Leg Lights or my "Volcano" cup light on it.

I want it too !
