Well I have an idea but it will take a chunk of change to get it off the ground.
Wanted to see if there was enough interest to get the project going.

For those of you that own the pin look down at your out-lane plastics.
I have a design for 3d metal cast valve covers. These would be direct replacements chromed all sides with black to make it pop - or just all chrome. The mod would totally replace the current plastic.

Biggest issue will be the cost of having two castings made (left and right). With popularity low on mustang I cant comment to the project without some feedback.

Thanks
Robert

I would be interested dependent on cost - idea sounds cool

nice idea….

Would need 30-40 to get out of the red. Morning bump.

Great idea. The Cobra finned valve covers originally appeared on the 1965 GT350. They were aluminium. The finned valve covers that have the black crinkle finish did not show up until the the1980's. Now there are a few versions of the valve cover.

These were the ones I was working with but interest is just not there for the investment.

I would keep this on the back burner, the Premium/LE is not out yet as you obviously know. This would be very cool. The current plastics are meh...

Now if you could get them to look like real valve covers just smaller that would be over the top.

Quoted from MustangPaul:

There was at once sometime ago minitature die cast Finned Cobra Valve Covers made. Black wrinkle with polished fins. They were around 6 to 8 inches long. I can not find anything on the net regarding them. The Valve Covers were in an ad in Mustang Monthly. They were metal and to scale.

If a grey or silver and black finned lane guides could be made. That would be cool. I would be really interested in a set of them.

I would have to see what they look like, but I like the idea.
