    Quoted from playernumber4:

2018 Charger Hellcat. Its a ball to drive and I go thru a pair of rear tires in less than 3000 miles. Who cares about the price of 2 tires? They are cheaper than the boatwell was when I sold the boat last year.

Beautiful car. I don't think I've seen another in that color.

    Quoted from Azmodeus:

Everyone who has visited this thread would love this museum. I hope to visit again.
It’s a full walkthrough of the Henry Ford museum in Detroit.

I live not far, and take many guests each year. Seriously one of the best museums in the country.

My brothers and I are in the process of helping my dad restore his 70 Mach 1. He is the 1st and 3rd owner! I was at a car show around 93-94 talking with a guy about his beautiful 69 Boss 429. I told him a little about my dad's car. 351C 4v, 4 speed, blue, with white interior. "I have that car in storage for a friend." It wasn't for sale then, but we eventually got it back.

My parents left their wedding in that car. We're trying to get it ready for them to drive to their 50th anniversary.

OO, OO, OO!!! Can I join??
Just got done detailing it today. 70 deg and sunny with less than 50% humidity. Was a gorgeous day.

Nice! Factory 5? What engine did you go with?

    #757 2 years ago
    Quoted from DadofTwins:

Not a muscle car, but picked up a new toy for the wife this weekend. She already wants to start "modding" it. Anyone know what stock exhaust the 2020 GT's have that we can buy to put on this?
    [quoted image]

Nice color. If that is a 2.3L, nothing from the GT is going to fit. You are much better off going with an aftermarket exhaust. Honestly, I'd start with a tune first. Just know that you will need to go over to premium gas to realize any real gains.

    Quoted from NPO:

Sure is! Carb'd 302 from a 1995 Mustang SVT Cobra. Some modifications have been done to it: most notably performance camshaft and TrickFlow valve spring kit. Sounds mean as heck when idling. While it may not have the powerhouse 427, I am ok with that. It is a good lil cruiser, and I instantly feel better about being me everytime I get behind the wheel!

Sounds like fun. FE engine parts are a lot more expensive than their Windsor counterparts. I'm sure that engine is plenty healthy for such a light weight chassis. There are a few FFR cars around here. If I was going to build one, that is what it would be.

Changing oil in my pin hauler. Thankful for the through breeze.

    Quoted from dmacy:

Nice to see folks still working on their own car. I get it’s likely easier and just as cheap to take it somewhere but I don’t trust people.

It helps me keep tabs on my vehicles, and I know the job will be done right. When I worked at a dealership, we would have one or two engine replacements every year because a kid at Jiffy Lube didn't tighten a drain plug. Conversely, we also had to replace oil pans were drain plugs were overtightened or cross-threaded.

    Quoted from dmacy:

I can’t agree more. Putting in a clutch I smoked when I sent it earlier in the week. Having a few lifts makes life so much easier.
    [quoted image][quoted image]

What car is that? It looks brand new underneath, but already has a smoked clutch?

    #776 2 years ago
    Quoted from dmacy:

12 GT500. It has 7800 miles on it and I keep the underside cleaned up too. I put a bigger blower on it so the stock clutch was on the edge. I helped finish it off with a 3rd gear burnout.

Ah. That is a great reason! Glad you are driving it and having a good time.

    #779 2 years ago
    Quoted from NPO:

Beautiful Porsche. Absolutely love that color!
Between your pin and car collection, what do you do for a living? Sell nukes on the black market??

"In other news, a mysterious explosion at the home of an Ohio pinball enthusiast has authorities baffled."

    Quoted from F-14Pin:

Tell me more about this one car stall you have with a 2-Post lift. How wide, deep and tall is it? I'm really in need of a shop to work in and have limited space at my current location.

It's 15x30, with a 12' ceiling. As you can see in the photo, there is room for me to park my ZTR by the back door, and that is an extended length Navigator.

It's been a while since I posted an update: the body is at the paint shop. The engine is back from the machine shop. Hopefully, we can go for a ride before it snows.

My dad does most of his own powdercoat work, but there are some parts too big for his oven. I took the rear end and the air cleaner base for the 70 Mach 1 project to the guy who does my pinball powdercoating.

    Quoted from MustangPaul:

Well I took the Mustang up to Brainard International Raceway in central MN for the Trans Am a nice 300 mile round trip for the weekend of July 16-18th and it overheated twice on the way up because of traffic jams, no problem just pulled over and let it cool. I have to get the 2nd radiator fan working soon. What a GREAT weekend of camping and race action, talked to MANY people about the car and many asked me when it was going to be my turn on the track because it was the ONLY road race street driven car up there, people would stop watching the race and gave me the thumbs up when I drove by. On the way home all 3 bolts of the passenger side header collector fell off and the reducer fell to the pavement, you all can imagine what that sounded like. LOL I had no nuts or bolts to replace the lost ones but I did have one of my metal tent stakes so I ran it through the top hole of the reducer and collector and bent it over. Got about 30 miles and pulled over to see how it was holding when a truck pulled up and an old guy and his son get out and asked if I had a problem. They looked and said "no problem, my son here lives a block away and he'll fix it up for ya". So I pulled up in front of his house and he wheels out a floor jack and some nuts, bolts and wrenches, I jack up the car and the son lays in the street and puts the bolts in while I talked to the old man. WOW!!! We get it all fixed and his sons 6 year old boy comes out and says "cool car" so I said "you want to sit in it" and he just lights up. So once he's in I strap him in with all 5 of the seat belts and he is just beaming while his dad takes a couple pictures of him. Before I left I took his phone and took a couple pictures of all 3 of them standing by the car and as I left I wound out the car in 1st and 2nd gear down their street for a little show for them. What a weekend.

Cool car. How long has it been a road racer? What engine and transmission do you have in it?

Incredible collection! Did you do that Coyote swap yourself? What engine is in your Mach 1?

    #821 2 years ago
    Quoted from ffr3064k:

Yes, I did the Coyote swap myself. Lots of work. The Mach 1 has a 351 Cleveland in it.

Awesome. We're restoring my dad's 70 Mach 1. The 351C-4V is ready to install. It is now a 414CID.

    Quoted from Kkoss24:

This is my dream car and I had a shot at one 3 years ago , right around the time I was turning 50 and had the funds . We were close ,but I just didn’t feel comfortable with the price he dug in at .A short time after that I got consumed with a hobby out from left field .You guessed it With 3 that I can’t see ever selling ,and 2 more on order that I’m praying are not keepers (we need a couple for turnover to keep things fresh ), I don’t see the GTX happening until 2032 when I hopefully am able to retire .Until then I’ll stick with my ford focus (helps make this happen ) and my pinball league for variety and enjoy every minute of this wonderful life that I’m blessed with
    [quoted image][quoted image]

The resolution isn't high enough to zoom in on the sign, but is the GTX at Vanguard Motors?

    #898 1 year ago
    Quoted from crlush:

It is Vanguard, they have nice cars but big prices, can't believe how high prices are going with cars, I picked this up a couple months ago and have been enjoying driving it around on nice days.
    [quoted image]

Vanguard is just down the road from me, and I had a buddy that worked for them for a while. They are similar to the pinball distros that offer "white glove delivery" and "free maintenance for two years" on machines. They charge a hefty premium, but they cater to a clientele that isn't primarily concerned about price. If I were in the market for a classic, this is where I would look first:

We changed the break-in oil in my brother's new Mach 1 today. He let me drive it yesterday: pretty impressive.

I forgot to post here. My dad's 1970 Mach 1 that we've been restoring for 3 years made its debut Father's Day weekend. Still have some things to shake out, but it was amazing to see it on the road.
