    Quoted from G-P-E:

    '86 SVO.
I had one of those a kajillion years ago. Surely not a muscle car but was the best handling car I ever owned.[quoted image]

Still was about as much muscle as we had in the mid 80's. Very cool and not a common one to see around these days. I had a friend with a black 86 SVO. That thing was fun!

    Some other cars I've had:
93 GT that was featured twice in some car magazines (And advertisements) in the early 2000's.
    73 Charger 440
    73 Torino 302
    89 LX 5.0 hatch
    90 LX 5.0 hatch
    2003 Cobra

From a car show I was in today. Some really nice classic muscle there and didn’t get to take pics of a 1/5 of them.

    Quoted from jwilson:

    Just picked this project up.
'69 Corvette, original 427/390HP car with A/C, PS, PB and PW. I don't think the side pipes are original.
    [quoted image]

I love this. Congrats and can appreciate yours a lot. Just like the one that I had at my house for a friend for 10 years. Black and side pipes. But no 427! And it wasn’t originally black and didn’t have side pipes either.

Few pics from Classic Auto Mall while buddy and his son dropping off their 15 Roush RS for consignment.

69 Charger had a lot of trash on the hood and poorly painted resprays. Grill had all sorts of minor issues. I didn't bother to look underneath. Vinyl top and interior looked great though.

Blue Beauty. Got her brand new stock built from the factory in 2004 and been modding it since. Still love her to this day.
    [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Looks great and nice to see a 2005 getting love! Especially having owned it since new. Have you had it dynoed with the Whipple/Ford Racing kit? The 4.6 3v was a good motor and was pretty quick. They kinda were lost after the 5.0 hit in 2011. I like the 05-10 GT’s.

    Quoted from fiberdude120:

Nice car but not my style. Just a little to much writing on there for me.

It’s not mine but one of the rare few in this oddball color combo. My buddy who buys cars for a living bought it at auction (not him in person just based on the low miles) as it was listed “very clean”. Lol not the language!! What a waste of a nice car. He sent it right back to auction lol! Too much money to fix the body. Only had 14k on it.

Anyway here’s mine. Mostly stock with VMP Gen 2R and some minor rear suspension parts to hold up with the extra power.

Haven’t posted much here as I haven’t had my car out much due to most shows cancelled. However couple guys from work brought their cars in to work yesterday too.

Left to right is my buddy’s 2015 Roush RS, my 12 GT500, and my bosses 2015 GT with Roushcharger Stage 1 kit.

    Quoted from Grandnational007:

I'm not even really a big Ford guy, but those are all beautiful.
I don't know what it is, but Fox Cobras give me a little tingle, haha (and yes I'm aware that the SN95/New Edges are "fox body" cars, but I'm talking about the '93)
It must be nostalgia, but they look so pleasing to me (when they shouldn't). Lip stick on a pig and what-not, but somehow it works. And well.
I'd be proud to have that in my garage, next to my neon teal basketball warm-up suit, super soaker 50, and GT Performer.
They are the epitome of "Rad!" to me, for whatever reason. Dudes that wore aviators before they were a fad drove those.
Maybe one day I'll build a polar white notchback with chrome ponies and a cobra body kit.

I’m with you on the Foxes. I grew up around them and got a 93GT in 96. My parents wouldn’t co-sign for a new 93 cobra at the time. But just out of high school with college and a part time job I couldn’t imagine why!!! But did get my 93 in some mags and had it making more power. But it was no cobra.

I didn’t realize the 93R’s came with the 4cyl base seats but it makes sense. Few more of the R’s.

    Quoted from FuryosJustin:

Away at out favorite show, "Beach Hop" 2020, Coromandel peninsula, New Zealand. This was postponed due to Covid in March, trying it again in November.
Sleepy little beach town, plenty of pre 74 cars
A few dramas, minced the sprag in the transmission 10 days out, so a mad thrash to get that changed (fully built 727)
Will try to post some pics each day. Home base with a Dodge Charger, XB Falcon coupe
    [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

I had to comment on the 70 Charger. I had same Y1 Top Banana but a lowly 500 with a 318. This one is sick and in NZ no less!

My lodge hosted a car show and had a great turnout. They did an open class judging with top 40 getting trophies. Shocked I got one.

Nice to see folks still working on their own car. I get it’s likely easier and just as cheap to take it somewhere but I don’t trust people.

I can’t agree more. Putting in a clutch I smoked when I sent it earlier in the week. Having a few lifts makes life so much easier.

    Quoted from gorditas:

What car is that? It looks brand new underneath, but already has a smoked clutch?

12 GT500. It has 7800 miles on it and I keep the underside cleaned up too. I put a bigger blower on it so the stock clutch was on the edge. I helped finish it off with a 3rd gear burnout.

    Quoted from MustangPaul:

Drove the Mustang on the street Monday for the first time since 1993. Drove it about 20 miles to the shop to have the electric power steering and a few other things done. The 306 was built in 94 for when I raced it at Bonneville and it surprised me how STRONG it ran. Now I hope I get it back for my friends 4th of July party, his 67 Mustang and my car will be on display. Here's a pic of his car also. Felt good to be back in the saddle again.

Those are fun to change spark plugs on

It’s easy with a 7mm swivel but my 400lb fat belly makes it challenging.

Had its first two car shows on Saturday and Sunday. Got a trophy from both.

Couple from Carlisle last weekend and my buddy who bought my Shelby brought out there too. Record number of 3400+ cars registered.

    Quoted from adol75:

Has anyone used a custom ecu programmer like the SCT performance X4 ?
I have my eyes on it but it looks too easy to be true.

I have used it a lot on my Fords. It’s pretty easy. Just make sure you get all the updates from your PC plugged vs Wi-Fi directly.

What are you tuning? And better yet, what does you custom tuner recommend?

    #927 1 year ago
    Quoted from adol75:

It's for a Mustang GT 2011, she really wakes up at 3500rpm, I want to improve below 3500. I think the engine doesn't get enough air. I haven't tuned it at all yet, so I'll probably add an air intake too.

I’d deal with Lund (I used to deal with John Sr. when he was still flying helicopters for a pharma) but have done my Shelby tuning with VMP. They’ll have you datalog with the XCal4 and it’s pretty easy.

Like Titan said, I used to tune blown fox bodies with the old Interceptors. The new stuff has tons more capability with really good tuners. Lund, Palm Beach and VMP are the best to get a tune from.

Your trans has 1 in 5th so gearing would be improved with 3.73 or so but not so bad since you’re essentially gaining gearing with the 1 5th gear. And if you get a blower, you’ll want that current 3.31 gear if that’s what you have.

Good luck and feel free to PM if you have questions.
