    Quoted from dirkdiggler:

Just got my 1st A frame Plymouth. 66 Vaiant.

Think you should go to the car and look real close at it. Valiant Signet, right? It does qualify as a muscle car. 2 doors, 4 seats, V8 engine. With the long hood, and short trunk it could also be a pony car.

    Quoted from o-din:

428 Super Cobra Jet has the stripe.

O-din that stripe is for the Mach 1. A regular 1969 Mustang factory equipped 428SCJ would have no stripes. Visually the 15 inch wheels, raised letter tires, oil cooler can be seen through the grill, and possibly a hood scoop and that would be it for any clue that the 428 was in there.

    Quoted from jhanley:

That's not really true. Almost all 69/70 428 CJ/SCJ were Mach 1's with the stripes. The only difference between the CJ and SCJ was the SCJ had Lemans cap screw rods and special crank. External oil cooler and 3.91 or 4.30 gears for drag racing. Out of 13'000 mustangs in 1969 all were Mach 1's except a thousand.

    "Just the Facts, Sir"

    1969 Mach 1 production, 72,459.
Q Code Engine production, 105 Hardtops, 2,765 Fastbacks, 50 Convertibles.
R Code Engine production, 138 Hardtops, 11,287 Fastbacks, 317 Convertibles.

Most of those Fastbacks were most likely Mach 1's. It is all good there jhanley, just my OCD catches stuff easily, and I missed the Mach 1 part of the story. Have been to many a Mustang show from Vancouver, Victoria, Seattle, Spokane, and points in between. The non Mach 1 or non GT, that are equipped with a 428 really stand out in those shows.

    Quoted from o-din:

Suddenly that Mach 1 is looking more black than dark green. At least on this monitor. The one I know of is definitely dark green.

    Looks like 'Black Jade'

    Quoted from o-din:

Great uncle Louis and his mechanic did not fare so well.

A stock Duesenberg Roamer could do 109 m.p.h. That photo clearly shows the bricks on the Indy track. Brave men raced there, with suspiciously safe automobiles.

    Quoted from MustangPaul:

Well when you have wide wheels and tires on the car for a wider stance and better handling what ya gonna do? My rear end is 3 inches wider then a stock rear end. Try putting BIG race rubber your road race car without putting flairs on it. LOL[quoted image]

HA! Even the trailer has Ford Trim Rings and Hub Caps.

Bought his Pony Car a few months ago. Was sold new in San Jose CA. never registered in America. Shipped to Japan. Eventually it came back to North America in 2010 to Vancouver.

    Quoted from dmacy:

    Club cruise down to Gettysburg

April 17th is the Anniversary of Mustangs going on sale in 1964. That is a great day for a pony car cruise.
