Well I took the Mustang up to Brainard International Raceway in central MN for the Trans Am a nice 300 mile round trip for the weekend of July 16-18th and it overheated twice on the way up because of traffic jams, no problem just pulled over and let it cool. I have to get the 2nd radiator fan working soon. What a GREAT weekend of camping and race action, talked to MANY people about the car and many asked me when it was going to be my turn on the track because it was the ONLY road race street driven car up there, people would stop watching the race and gave me the thumbs up when I drove by. On the way home all 3 bolts of the passenger side header collector fell off and the reducer fell to the pavement, you all can imagine what that sounded like. LOL I had no nuts or bolts to replace the lost ones but I did have one of my metal tent stakes so I ran it through the top hole of the reducer and collector and bent it over. Got about 30 miles and pulled over to see how it was holding when a truck pulled up and an old guy and his son get out and asked if I had a problem. They looked and said "no problem, my son here lives a block away and he'll fix it up for ya". So I pulled up in front of his house and he wheels out a floor jack and some nuts, bolts and wrenches, I jack up the car and the son lays in the street and puts the bolts in while I talked to the old man. WOW!!! We get it all fixed and his sons 6 year old boy comes out and says "cool car" so I said "you want to sit in it" and he just lights up. So once he's in I strap him in with all 5 of the seat belts and he is just beaming while his dad takes a couple pictures of him. Before I left I took his phone and took a couple pictures of all 3 of them standing by the car and as I left I wound out the car in 1st and 2nd gear down their street for a little show for them. What a weekend.

I've since sold all of these, but my last three muscle cars were a heavily modded 1997 Camaro Z28, 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8 and 2019 Camaro ZL1.

Cool car. How long has it been a road racer? What engine and transmission do you have in it?

How I love a clean 4th gen F-body, particularly LT-1 cars with the mini quads.

Here's my '94 mildly modded 1-LE Z/28. ZR-1's, LT-4 heads/cam. It's slow compared to new stuff, but it's such a fun car. Perfect blend of old and new technology.

That ZL-1 is gorgeous! Having rented one for a day on a trip to Hawaii a few years ago, my wife had to threaten divorce because I wanted one sooooooo bad when we got home, haha. Absolutely amazing cars.

Since 76. I've kept adding parts since then. Now it's a 306cid with 345hp with a Toploader 4 speed. Next year I plan on having a Dart SHP363 which I have new in the box in my garage built to around 550-600hp.

Put my new 70 Mustang door panels on, had a new tranny tail shaft bushing and new drive shaft seal put in my toploader and bought a new 3 2/2 inch steel drive shaft. They are all cleaned and painted. Was watching the Brainard International Raceways Trans Am race, the one I went to and saw that I video bombed the video of the false grid before the race. Here are a couple of stills I took off the tv screen. hahahahaha

The 65 I have had for over 38 years. It was my first car at 15 years old. So, it has taken nearly 40 years to acquire all of them.

    Incredible collection!

Wish I still had my 65 GT K-code car. I was just starting a family and needed to sell it for the down payment of my current home. I miss that car!

I’m looking to sell my 70 Monte Carlo. It is an automatic with a 400 small block. It has a Holly carb and an aluminum intake. I added MSD electronic ignition years ago and it starts and runs great. It’s very reliable for a car it’s age. Great highway cruiser. The car was originally from California. Mostly rust free with the exception of the front quarter panels. The dark areas on the rear quarters is actually gold paint showing under the white. I have many more pics if interested. Looking for $14,000 or best offer.

Totally unrelated (sort of) but last night for some reason I stopped the TV on the Price is Right 50th anniversary show. A lady won a restored 1972 Mustang Mach 1 convertible. It was beautiful. Black stripes on Yellow paint. Now I want one. LOL

They said the retail value was $27,900. That seemed low to me but I don't know valies of this stuff.

    Was cool to see though.

Got the stance finalized on my 1964 Nova SS pro street project. Front end was dropped 5". It has a custom super-trick Mustang II style front suspension up front with a 4-link and a 9" rear out back. Wilwood disc brakes on all 4 corners.

Years back, I had a special edition 78 Trans Am with all the options.
Threw a 455 in it that my racing Buddy rebuilt. I later put a 72
Cuda on the road and sold the Trans. The guys girlfriend let it overheat
so bad, it caught on fire and torched the car. Another one I should have
kept. Not the quickest, but the best handling and fastest (top speed) car
    I've owned..

Beautiful TA I had a rootbeer brown 77 what a great car.I remember in the late 70s and 80s people were removing the stock exhaust and putting on headers and 2 years later the registration expires and they cant pass a smog test so they were selling cheap or getting impounded for no reg.same with the camaros at that time.

Nope, not sure the original motor was either. Car was actually in really good shape and the interior was perfect. Former drag car so it didn't have a lot of miles considering the age.
