    Quoted from algrande:

    Took a 1 ½ years, but I got one!
    [quoted image][quoted image]

All of a sudden they are popping up all around where I live. Very nice car enjoy.

    #702 2 years ago

Here is the new little sucker ...
Porsche Cayenne S , 4,8 litre and 400 HP . 10 Years old .... my new buddy to go to the hardware store, garden center and garbage place ... and off course .. if my wife has to drive with me ... she prefers the Porsche. It is now 10 years old, leaking some oil but looking nice for its age.

Sorry for OT: No muscle car Even dont know if a pin fits in ...

    Quoted from TomDK:

Hehe ... thanks for the comments , yes the discussion about the splitter guard is as old as the splitter guard.
I know what it is but I like the yellow accent on the front.
Several guys here remove the splitter guard and take colored foil as replacement
There is a very small number Challengers and Chargers in Europe. Dodge is not selling them officially here. You have to go over a importer.
Therefor people rellay often look after this beauty.
Ford Mustang is also a very nice car , easy to get. For some years all thousands of Ford dealers sell Mustangs. You can get them with "Eco Boost" and 4 Cylinders, 6 years warranty. That was exactly NOT what I wanted.
The bad point ... gas is much more expensive than in the USA. So it is a expensive car ... but its worh all the money at the gasstation.
Tomorrow I take over also a Porsche Cayenne fom my father.
German car, V8, 4.8 liters ... consumption the same as my Scatpack but nobody will have a look at it. You see it on every corner here.
So the Scatpack is the better choice.
The prices are here much higher for Dodge than in the US. But compared with the German brands you will get much much more engine , cubic capacity, horsepower ... much more car for your money. A BMW M series will cost nearly double the money.
So the Challenger was a good choice.
My dream beside the pinball would be a 1970´s Dodge but my wife would kill me if we have 4 cars in front of the house

    Quoted from Jamesays:

where the f##k do you put the fuel tank on these rides certainly not in the back

Two things with that I guess. For the van, that is a car type van based on the same model sedan. Same story for the utes. They use the same floorpan sections as a sedan. The fuel tank in these lives in the former rear passenger footwell beneath the deck. The spare tyre lives behind the rear axle below deck. Both are technically within the unitised shell, rather than outside.

Second, for combustion fuel requires air, so for the many cars with external tanks... there still needs to be a leak or rupture for a fuel fire to ocuur. Burning seen is the rubber and its emissions on fire, ignition comes once the tyre is down to the steel belts and sparks give the ignition.

Damage from burning rubber or flames is often much less than it appears. Superficial.

More damage occurs from bad navigation than from fire, really. Like the Torana skidding into the wall head on. Only the cars that have an involved fire for a long time get badly fuc#ed up.

I have been trying to get one for the last 2 months. Didn't realize the situation they are in. Being told a 2 year wait. Congratulations on getting yours!

Great looking hubcaps. So many people put awful looking wheels on these. Looks great.

    Quoted from playernumber4:

2018 Charger Hellcat. Its a ball to drive and I go thru a pair of rear tires in less than 3000 miles. Who cares about the price of 2 tires? They are cheaper than the boatwell was when I sold the boat last year.

Beautiful car. I don't think I've seen another in that color.

Everyone who has visited this thread would love this museum. I hope to visit again.
It’s a full walkthrough of the Henry Ford museum in Detroit.

I live not far, and take many guests each year. Seriously one of the best museums in the country.

My brothers and I are in the process of helping my dad restore his 70 Mach 1. He is the 1st and 3rd owner! I was at a car show around 93-94 talking with a guy about his beautiful 69 Boss 429. I told him a little about my dad's car. 351C 4v, 4 speed, blue, with white interior. "I have that car in storage for a friend." It wasn't for sale then, but we eventually got it back.

My parents left their wedding in that car. We're trying to get it ready for them to drive to their 50th anniversary.

That is an excellent story above gorditas !! ^^^

Still unsure if this belongs here as it is not the typical muscle car, but I am really into Japanese performance cars (and pinball!). I posted a few pictures a while back of my Evolution 3 (1995). I just got it tuned by some famous people here in Chicago and got the dyno sheet back. I am now running a really safe tune on it and running 570 all wheel hp. This is actually down about 100hp from the previous tune as I wanted the engine to last longer.

    Check this out!

Impressive! Are you still running the 2L I4 engine? I’m more into American muscle but always appreciated some of the Japanese sports cars like the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Toyota Supra, Honda Integra Type-R, Subaru WRX STI, and of course the Mazda Miata.

My classic mini engine is finished and on its way home.

    1310cc
    GT17 turbo on sidewinder manifold

It made 155hp and 145ftlb at 9psi on the dyno. To put that in perspective this engine and turbo combo will take around 20psi which will see well over 200hp/ftlb but I am happy with that power for a running in period until I turn up the boost.

Should be a lot of fun in a 1,300lb car!

Thank you very much! I am still running the original 2.0L block, head and crank, but most of the other parts have been upgraded.
If you are curious, I keep this pretty updated on my build: https://www.scottdanesi.com/?page_id=3977

I also love all of those cars, but obviously have a great appreciation for the American muscle cars as well. This thread is pretty great.

Oh man, the R32 is AMAZING. Out of my price range though as well. That is a great looking Impreza! Subaru makes a great car and a great platform for a high performance car.

Nice! I had a '72 Chevelle SS convertible in college. That car was my baby, but I had to sell it when I got divorced. Man, I miss that car!

Is that bezel around the turn signal lights aftermarket, or was that an option? Either way, I dig it! Makes it look like a '71.

    #726 2 years ago

Thanks! It’s actually an SS clone so not original. Still fun though. Not sure about the bezel, I thought it was stock so now I’ll have to do some research.

Great looking car except the wheels... get some correct Rally wheels on there.

    #734 2 years ago

I love the stock wheels on the classic muscle cars too. I have never owned one but am curious. Are the stock rims difficult to get these days? I assume they are. I remember going to junk yards in the 80s and getting Pontiac rims for my friend's T37 easily. Obviously times have changed but are they still obtainable or are after market rims just a choice?

Give it a lumpy cam and a supercharger and pull 650 or more.

I like the sound of a chopstix cam.

A buddy of mine owed me money so instead of paying me he took my 99 corvette and put a cam in it and ls3 heads that had been enhanced. It sound great. You already had the supercharger that pushed 12 pounds on the car. It’s only around 650 but it’s a blast to drive and it isn’t enough power to break stuff. He won’t make it faster because he says I’ll be replacing half shafts and the rear end and tranny in short order.

Got lucky and was able to acquire Russell Westbrook's Dodge Demon Serial #14 with the crate and dash plaque personalized to Him.

Think there is significance to the #14 from the draft. 1st round #4 pick???

I only have these two pics. The car started out as a basic 6 cylinder. It sat in the garage for years. Someone did a velvet tuck and roll interior at some point. I bought it for my son and he decided he would rather have a trucks now it’s mine. It just isn’t what I want. I want the rubber bumper TA or Z28.
I threw the pics of the 82 collectors Corbette in for kicks.
