Covid (and a shattered wrist) gave me the time to pull this one out of long term storage and give her a fresh coat of Marimba Red. I’ve owned her some ‘98. Next I’m installing the new top and interior.
BTW, block sanding these looong quarter panels was the best physical therapy post wrist surgery!

I’m the second owner of this ‘68 Malibu wagon. Well, the old man original owner sold it to his grandson for Xmas years ago. I bought it from the grandson. I bought it to haul pins while my ‘58 Apache was down for an engine swap. My wife has a ‘57 Ford wagon so I really *should* sell this one but it’s just so darn cool! Just don’t ask her if it’s for sale, please

I've worked at a Dodge dealership for almost 28 years. I'm amazed how many people who buy these Challengers, especially the Hellcats, leave that protector on the air dam. They DO get beat up fairly fast. But yeah, they don't look the greatest but. These are great bang for the buck cars BTW. 392 Scatpact widebody Challengers are pretty impressive when you compare pricewise to a Hellcat. Have more than enough power at 20K+ less in price

Oh yea those 392s are awesome motors!

Ive seen these protectors actually do damage to the splitter, at least the ones with 2 pieces. Dirt, small rocks/gravel get under the lip, and end up scratching up the top of the splitter.

    Anyway MOPAR or no car!!

I just brought this beauty home. It's a 2011 with 11.000 miles. Given how the second gear slips a bit I tend to think it's only previous owner never got to the third gear !

There's a few things I need to change, primarily new rims for the look but mainly new suspensions. The rear jumps very quickly which makes it hard to keep the car steady in curves. I don't know if mine or beaten up or if the stock ones are crap but in both cases I need suspensions that will keep the car on the ground

Hehe ... thanks for the comments , yes the discussion about the splitter guard is as old as the splitter guard.
I know what it is but I like the yellow accent on the front.
Several guys here remove the splitter guard and take colored foil as replacement

There is a very small number Challengers and Chargers in Europe. Dodge is not selling them officially here. You have to go over a importer.
Therefor people rellay often look after this beauty.
Ford Mustang is also a very nice car , easy to get. For some years all thousands of Ford dealers sell Mustangs. You can get them with "Eco Boost" and 4 Cylinders, 6 years warranty. That was exactly NOT what I wanted.
The bad point ... gas is much more expensive than in the USA. So it is a expensive car ... but its worh all the money at the gasstation.
Tomorrow I take over also a Porsche Cayenne fom my father.
German car, V8, 4.8 liters ... consumption the same as my Scatpack but nobody will have a look at it. You see it on every corner here.
So the Scatpack is the better choice.

The prices are here much higher for Dodge than in the US. But compared with the German brands you will get much much more engine , cubic capacity, horsepower ... much more car for your money. A BMW M series will cost nearly double the money.
So the Challenger was a good choice.

My dream beside the pinball would be a 1970´s Dodge but my wife would kill me if we have 4 cars in front of the house

My 2011 Challenger has just over 100,000 miles on it. My mechanic, who has worked on it since day one, just commented how solid and and squeek free it is. He wishes his Corvette, which cost 2x more than my SRT in 2011 was as solid. You made a great choice!

The good point is you have the Autobahn !
Here the gas is cheap but on the highway you keep speeding and braking everytime there's a spot where a cop can hide, I probably spend more money on vas than you because of it !

I joke that my Mopar (a lowly 2015 Durango R/T) will pass everything but a gas pump. LOL

Some days that's more true than others it seems. I can't imagine how I'd do in a 392 or Hellcat Durango.

I hope to bring mine to CZ in a couple of years. Do you have any idea of the changes that I might need to make on the car to make it legal for European standards?

    Quoted from Strummy:

I hope to bring mine to CZ in a couple of years. Do you have any idea of the changes that I might need to make on the car to make it legal for European standards?

I guess you will be posted in CZ with the service ?! Than its not your problem .. there are specialized dealers which convert the car.
    Its sidemarkers, maybe light.

Have a look here, in that forums most points are described:

To say that I like sublime green is an understatement. I also own a sublime green 440 6 pack Cuda not pictured. The bird and AAR are almost totally restored.
    1970 AAR CUDA
    1970 SUPERBIRD
    1999 Hellcat Redeye

    YES !! Great car !!

I also added yesterday a Porsche Cayenne V8 to my "fleet". Got it for a fait family price from my father. But it leaks oil ... However if this is fixed it will be a fine car.

April 17th is the Anniversary of Mustangs going on sale in 1964. That is a great day for a pony car cruise.

2014 Stingray. I have had several Vetts over the years and this has been my favorite. You know, I really have to stop painting on the garage floor.
