2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Plus w/Shaker package. 5.7L 6-speed and Super Track Pack. Nothing major for mods, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, Hotchkiss swaybars front and rear, front and rear strut tower braces, Barton shifter and Speedlogix rear torque arms.

Spent a bunch of time on the road course with it this summer, upgraded brakes are my first upgrade when she comes out of storage in the spring.

Has anyone else noticed that the youth still love cars however no one knows how to drive stick!

I’m 34 and i feel like I’m the end of the age group that learned stick.

Their excuse is that autos are faster why would i buy a stick. I feel sorry for them they don’t know how enjoyable and more engaging a 3 pedal car is.

Depending on where and what times of night one drives, they are great anti car-jacking vehicles.

That's super cool! I used to be into building custom motorcycles before I got into pinball. I competed and won in quite a few shows, but winning a trophy or plaque that collects dust in my garage isn't nearly as cool as having a model replica made of your custom build.

My wife just got her first stick car, a 2019 Hyundai Veloster N, that's her in front of me to go out on track in my second picture. She is absolutely loving it, and probably won't willingly go back to an automatic.

We are in our 40's though. I've been diving stick shift since I was 15.

Does this count? It's my 1995 Mitsubishi Evolution III. It is fully built and pushes 40 lbs of boost and lays down 680 awhp. It's the fastest car I have ever been in. I am currently replacing the head gasket and putting in a custom Haltech tune that will allow the car to run Flex Fuel. I am also still working on cleaning up the engine bay. This is so much fun to work on.

Also, not totally screwed if you starter shits itself ... can't push start an auto! Lol

Manual transmission and manual clutch puts power control directly with the driver in a way that an auto just can not.

Nice!! Evo IV and III are my favs, seriously hardcore cars, a buddy down here had a gsr(same body but 1.8L) putting down around 600 hp, one of the fastest I've been in. I love awd for my daily, I've had a couple of subarus a wrx, legacy twin turbo, and now a 3.0r b-spec legacy

Lots of nice pictures here. Been driving minivans and gas mileage cars for the past 30 years and really getting the itch to find another Nova. With that being said I can only show pictures from my cars in the late 80's. My first car was a 1970 Nova. Bought it before I turned 16. Had it running and painted it right after I got my drivers license. Second car was a 63 Chevy II Nova Hardtop. Dropped a 327 in her. Painted it and made custom interior.
Sold all of them a long time ago. Man I really miss that 63 now. And last picture is my old truck right after I painted it.

Do youth still love cars? I see some kids in Mustangs that must enjoys cars but most kids just don't seem to care. Tons of kids now days don't even care to get their license at 16. My kids turned 16 earlier this year and I had to push them to get their license. I started teaching them to drive a stick but it's tough to learn.

    Mic drop!

My parents have a friend like this who made a fortune starting a well known national trucking company. He has a similar collection, probably worth in excess of 20 million. He also collects airplanes, and has a private jet. You'd never know from his demeanor that he's worth 100 million dollars. He daily drives a 5 year old Cadillac XLR, and spends most of his weekends camping in an older Streamline trailer and fishing. God bless the American Dream!

Away at out favorite show, "Beach Hop" 2020, Coromandel peninsula, New Zealand. This was postponed due to Covid in March, trying it again in November.
Sleepy little beach town, plenty of pre 74 cars
A few dramas, minced the sprag in the transmission 10 days out, so a mad thrash to get that changed (fully built 727)
Will try to post some pics each day. Home base with a Dodge Charger, XB Falcon coupe

How big is the car scene in New Zealand and what is the stock of classic cars - Looks like a great variety from classic restoration to full on hot rods!

It's an ok scene. We import lots of cars from the usa, plus there is a good stock of Australian built v8s, like ford Falcons and Holden's (Chev)
There is about 1500 cars registered for this event, and at least that many unregistered show up to check it out. Much smaller then a run of the mill usa show, but pretty cool to pack out such a small town with so much coolness.
Went for a walk on the beach last nigh, no one else was there, it was beautiful

    Day 2
    Whangamata to Whitianga
Packed check in, about as full as it gets.
1.5hr cruise to Whitianga, another beach town in the Coromandel. Got diverted off to park with the cool kids down at the Marina. Ran into a mate from way back, and spent the arvo sinking pale ales, talking bout this n that and having a good olcatch up

    Day 3
    Whangamata to Onemana beach
Slow, low n loud cruise out, takes a long time for the convoy to do a short 10km drive
Great spot to park up for a picnic

    Day 4
Park up for the main parade day
Sitting next to a low, mean n clean Chev deluxe
    The rolls rats was..... Interesting
Super busy day, I'll try n take some video rolling down the main st. Too many cars to get around in a day, so may end up sinking pale ales n eating bbq instead

Some pics from Saterday. Ended up walking around most of the show during the day. And night laps till late. We did night laps on most nights. Today is just a clean up the house and head home. We have broken the trip with a stop at lake Taupo, the caldera of a super volcano.
Awesome trip as always, just as busy as always

Bought this 1971 Dodge Dart garage find a month ago, last ran in 2005. The guy I bought it from said it ran fine but he got married and had kids so it just sat, has a 360ci 380hp crate motor with a 904 trans and a 8 3/4 rear with 3.55 gear. Will be a fun father/son project for the winter. Just got it out of the trailer and cleaned it up sunday.
