I'm not sold on the B&W either but maybe it will look better in person like AFMr LE green trim.
Quoted from Edster:Hmm, not sure it's worth the $1500 extra or $3000 for the LE.
Hasn't been in years, if ever.
Quoted from pinmister:I know I am in the minority, but I am not feeling it and it looks meh to me.
It's not blowing my mind or anything...but until I play it and the rules get in there it's impossible to tell. SW wasn;t blowing my balls either, but it's a great game.
For me personally, Christopher Franchi always has the color knob turned up too far. Nothing to complain about on the B&W art.
Quoted from TheLaw:It's not blowing my mind or anything...but until I play it and the rules get in there it's impossible to tell. SW wasn;t blowing my balls either, but it's a great game.
I was disappointed when I first saw Star Wars and then after learning rules and playing it-I could not get enough. Star Wars theme for me goes a long way. Munsters is cool, but very nostalgic and will really appeal to older guys who can relate. I was more into Sunday morning cartoons when Munsters was airing on TV still. One thing about Stern's is they do grow on you over time. I do think it will sell well, and probably do well on location, and it would look good next to someone's Batman66. I also like the green and purple for GI's.
Quoted from catboxer:What's the deal with the "Dragula" target? It looks like one giant standup instead of drops.
The B&W looks cool! I only wish it were MORE black and white!
Maybe there's an option to turn all LED lighting to monochrome?
Quoted from spfxted:So, just so I understand....the Prem can ONLY be had in BW?
Yep it appears that way
Quoted from benheck:Maybe there's an option to turn all LED lighting to monochrome?
Probably would't change the colored inserts.
Looks cool but this is a perfect example of why I'm not a Stern fan. Very different game between the models. Who wants to pay $6000+ for half a game?
Love the B/W looks great, I didn't really watch this show but looking forward to playing it and if it delivers might be in with a Pre.
Quoted from spfxted:So, just so I understand....the Prem can ONLY be had in BW?
For now.
Quoted from seenev:Looks cool but this is a perfect example of why I'm not a Stern fan. Very different game between the models. Who wants to pay $6000+ for half a game?
If you think most lower playfields are half the game you haven't played many of them. In this case you get more of the full game with the pro then on most games. No one in the US is paying 6000+ for a pro either. $5600 delivered or cheaper all day.
I love the black and white. Wish there was no color at all. Hoping for it some day in a Young Frankenstein pin.
. . . A guy can dream.

If it does not sell well I am sure that Stern will make a colour version. If that happens, the Black and White game will be the "limited game" like ACDC Luci and MET Roadcase.
Will wait for a color vault premium, assuming the rough edges are improved by then. Hopefully, the theme song has been deemphasised by then. This can't be the best-ever game that a certain podcaster has predicted for 2019. Still, was worth taking off the afternoon to watch the intro. Stern is the king because it doesn't take big chances. Not Franchi's best color palette, but great enough to make the black and white an insult to him.
Quoted from benheck:The B&W looks cool! I only wish it were MORE black and white!

I agree, it looks weird with the playfield in B&W and the inserts color. I would also agree, a colour Prem will probably surface and I would wait for that.
I'm with the last few posters. Wait for an LE playfield in a Premium cabinet. I can live with the black/white cabinet, but the B/W playfield isn't my cup of tea. Pretty sure it will happen. Too many with this opinion that won't buy the premium and don't want the stripped down pro.
Quoted from TheLaw:Yep the old single target...might as well as the rules count them as 1 thing.

Yeah but the pro looks pretty generic. Yeah there's cool wireworms, but the game certainly doesn't stand out without the lower playfield.
Quoted from Neal_W:Found the stream. It was not tagged with pinball.
https://www.twitch.tv/deadflip
Thank you! I know it's daft, but I didn't realize there was a stream. Glad I can see some play on it. Though right now I'm watching a guy in a pink shirt chimping the flippers. If one flipper is good, flipping both at the same time must be even better!
Quoted from Edster:Hmm, not sure it's worth the $1500 extra or $3000 for the LE.
All included:
Upgraded sound system with Kenwood speakers
laser cut side armor with webbing and gold foil behind it
Gold legs real screend mirrored back glass
limited to 500 units
Metal bottom arch
shaker motor included
anti-glare glass included
Inner cabinet art blades
Unique and different art package with the best back glass art of the three
It’s worth it, Stern is making the limited worth something. Been doing this finally with the last few titles.
Metallica rehash with stewie pinball rehash for lower pf.
Lol. Same old shit. lazy imo.
Milk the baby boomers of all their cash.
Quoted from fugus:Its stewie pinball. fan layout on a smaller scale.
It's way better positioned and integrated than Stewie, and it has a ramp, VUK and multiball, so it's already better.
9/16" ball would be better, though. More weight.
Quoted from robotron:wont the b/w playfield make it harder to see the ball?
I can see the ball just fine on Centaur.

All true, but starting with IMDN they only really added antiglare glass, better speakers, art blades and a shaker. They upped the price 1k for those extra items.
Quoted from fugus:Metallica rehash with stewie pinball rehash for lower pf.
Don't forget about rehashed bicycle ramp from TWD!
Quoted from stooped:Hopefully, the theme song has been deemphasised by then
I love when people want less of the most iconic part of a license. When GB came out “Wahhh too much GB music”. When AC/DC came out “Waaahh I’ll get sick of AC/DC music”.
The Munsters theme is one of the greatest TV themes of all time. There should never be less of it in this game. It’s PERFECT.
Quoted from pinmister:Don't forget about rehashed bicycle ramp from TWD!
This is not a lifting ramp

I can already tell you will be the Munsters Crusader, I look forward to you getting back into pinball arguments instead of talking Switch all day.

I won’t crusade for anything. Just really happy about this reveal and love everything I’ve seen so far. I won’t buy till I play first & see if there are any issues to be concerned about.

Honestly nobody should be buying until they can play it and real code is verified. This LE FOMO is crazy for items this expensive and really not that rare or hard to get later.
The B&W Premium looks awesome! By far my favorite looking version of the game. The lower playfield does look sweet but I wonder if it will get old after a while? Pro may end up being the sleeper best game... Pro Vault in B&W in a few years?
Quoted from tacshose:Honestly nobody should be buying until they can play it and real code is verified....
Borg/code is what would be keeping me from buying this one now.

All lower play fields "get old" eventually. It just has to be important enough from a rules standpoint to enjoy (aka tolerate) it.
Quoted from TheLaw:Borg/code is what would be keeping me from buying this one now.
That's it though?
