I’m not an Munsters LE owner, but I have played some pinball.

I don’t think any lower playfield will ever top the likes of Black Hole or Haunted House: reversed orientation, pop bumpers, drop target banks, orbits, captive balls, etc. Those were stellar, especially for the time period, and still are today.

But then, in my opinion, you have duds like Elektra, even AC/DC, where the lower PF just isn’t all that exciting.

I really like that they integrated a VUK and ramps on the lower PF on this game, and incorporated a MB mode in Grandpa MB. I think that will keep the lower PF much more interesting on this title longer than others.

Definitely. Having 3 inch flips and drops on the lower PF makes you feel like you’re playing another playfield with purpose, not some “sub playfield”.

I’ll have to put some games up on a pro and premium, but truth be told, I’m not real fond of the artwork on the LE. And the red cab stripe seems a little out of place. The premium might be the way to go.

Just read through the complete rule sheet and comments. Definitely a lot more going on in this game than I thought.

So people shelling out only 5 or 6K for a game should get a shitty product? I don’t think I like or agree with that rationale. All of their playfields should be better quality, no matter what model it is.

So if I get in my car now...

Actually put a few games up on a Pro last weekend. It was pretty decent...smooth shots. Not as smooth as the orbit or ramps on MET though. Left outlane kicked me square in the nuts. Gotta put a few up on an LE or Prem now.

I hear people say that, but I put about six or seven games on one at York last year, and was hitting shots pretty smoothly. A few people I watched were struggling and throwing bricks. I figured maybe they were masons.

Still, I think ACNC is a pretty cool game with an awesome art package. I’m just not a huge Alice Cooper fan. Now if ACNC was Alice in Chains Nightmare Castle...

I’ve heard quite a few people I know that purchased a Pro say that they were not happy with it, and either looked to sell pretty quickly or upgraded to a Prem or LE.

All the back-and-forth above is true in part, but Who-Dey has a premium, not a pro. The talk I mentioned was about pros getting liquidated quickly all of a sudden. The fun level for me on the pro was very low, especially when you know there are other models with other options and increased functionality.

However, attention spans will shift quickly these days with Stern pumping out several games a year. The hype used to last much longer when they were only releasing one game a year.

Let’s not fool ourselves. Stern is certainly about making money these days, not pumping out the best games possible. That is actually an impossibility when you are releasing multiple titles per year.
