Quoted from corvair61:JJP has some catching up to do.
You know there was a time I thought JJP was going to bury Stern, and now I think its totally the other way around. Stern is light years ahead now that they are making code a priority and have been putting out great titles
How aboot the skinny backbox that doesn’t flare at base? That hasn’t been seen before by Stern. Do my eyes deceive, there are no exposed hinges? Maybe they’ve been eliminated due to new cabinet head design.
Could either of two ramps lead to/from an upper playfield? There was talk it may be three levels. We expect the lower playfield to be eliminated on the pro but would Stern snatch the upper pf off on pro too?
Quoted from Macca101010:Looks like those cabinets are shaped differently at the front and back....or are they just dodgy pics???[quoted image]
Fantastic pick up.. I hope not! That will not go good with my OCD..!

Haha...you have too many great pins in your collection to be worried about this

I believe it is just where they cut the decals for the legs to attach and not wrinkle.
Oh wow, the lower playfield will omit the groovy characters.
Hope there is something super cool under there

I hope that you’re right and we have that lower playfield
Quoted from pinballaddicted:Fantastic pick up.. I hope not! That will not go good with my OCD..!
Don't worry mate
It should be to standard scale.
There will be no downsizing on this bad boy.
Looking forward to seeing you get you LE
First glimpse looks fantastic. Not a fan of the theme, but never liked adams family and that turned out to be one of the best ever. And so far i can see i think i love the layout and shots. It looks fun.
Cant wait to see more. Hope premium has just that extra toy/ball mechanic to make it a stunning play field. Very nice for the people who love this theme, you got a winner i think, congrats!
Quoted from vex:I hope the lower playfield will have more relevance then acdc.
Tough to do unless the lower playfield is bigger - not much real estate
Can anyone make out what inserts say?
2x
3x in the middle center
5x up the middle/top left
Spot shot
There is a insert for each character....
Quoted from cpr9999:Where are the flippers? Maybe something unique going on?
And where are the ramps!!!!!!!111
Looks like they figured out how to get the balls to levitate before DEEPROOT. Sorry Robert, too slow.
Quoted from cpr9999:Where are the flippers? Maybe something unique going on?
Invisible Magnetic Flippers!
Wonder what the 4 holes are for at the end of the left ramp /orbit? Im sure the pic was probably intentionally blurred to make us winder about all of this stuff. Nobody has a camera that shitty in today's world.
I don't see how this could have a lower playfield.... If it did you'd lose a lot of that nice playfield art.... Or would the lowerplayfield be really small and start below Grandpa... Don't know... But, I do like the playfield art. This machine should be a looker, and the mode list I saw seemed to hit all the important stuff. So this could be a really cool pin, and a great looking one.
But, as always gotta wait for both High Rez images and also the Prem and LE images.
I know I've said it before, but I really hate that EVERY game has 3 versions. That to me is beyond silly and stupid.

Your collection is not that bad either mate!..
Quoted from OLDPINGUY:A bit better...I dont have all my software with me.....

Thanks very much for that!
No ramps makes it hard to work out what is going on..

Im hoping the lower playfield has some really cool stuff in it and awesome lighting etc. If not i may just have to go Pro on this one here. I am NOT a fan of lower playfields at all, i hope they can make me change my mind on this game here.

Hell yes.. We are in for a LE. Maybe the last new game for us for a while..
Quoted from epthegeek:Is 5 shoot areas enough shoot areas? Or are we going to be lacking in shoot areas.
7 is the key number here... 5 is ridiculous...

Famous last words.
Quoted from epthegeek:Is 5 shoot areas enough shoot areas? Or are we going to be lacking in shoot areas.
Looks like 2 more shooter lanes to left and right of VUK scoop.
That would hit the magic number of 7!!!
Quoted from kklank:Am I mistaken or is this a fan layout.
Name one 2-flipper game that isn’t...

Beatles!
Primus!
Supreme!
The most loved games this year
Edit. Ok Beatles has 4 flippers and I'm a moron
Quoted from cscmtp:You know there was a time I thought JJP was going to bury Stern, and now I think its totally the other way around. Stern is light years ahead now that they are making code a priority and have been putting out great titles
Competition will do that, usually.
Like what I seen so far, seems like it has a lot and still wish Maiden had more in it. I like that Maiden is a diffrent layout but feel it’s missing toys gadgets etc in it too plain and maybe just a fan layout seems to get extra features or am I wrong guess we will wait and see.
Need to understand more about “the Zap” button from instruction card. Seems like a Dwight thing to add some strategy/challenge to more formidable players with decisions guided by a button other then the flipper buttons.
That lower blue pop bumper seems to have some sort of ball movement indentation on it?
While I think Franchis (and Packers) work ist way better then most things we got from Stern the years before, I was not always 100% happy with it.
Not beeing the fault of the artist but the Pro/ Premium/ LE Model tiers, looking at Guardians of the Galaxy, you don't get 3 totally different art packages but 3 different art packages made of mostly the same assets.
On top of that, while Guardians of the Galaxy is totally packed, in my opinion it's crammed and lacks a bit of (color) composition.
Not the case with Musters. The sides of the cab are one piece of art (even with Assets reused in the LE, the b/w color composition makes it one unique art package) and the playfield has a center artpiece and the sameish green/ purple color composition that the Pro/ Premium cabinet has.
So for me at least, this one is Franchis finest pinball work yet!
Quoted from Rolls-Royce:Vireland, are you around brother?... any thoughts with the playfield in your POV please
Waiting for the Premium/LE playfield version. Those leaked pics are all Pro, right? Certainly more excited to see Munsters Prem/LE than getting a Monster Bash remake. The wait is agonizing, though!
I think we may see a lower playfield that is shown on the screen via a camera...
If you cut a window in the playfield then you loose a lot of Artwork/ inserts..

I don’t get the excitement about this one. The layout seems like a Monster Bash rehash. Unpopular opinion: If prices were the same, I’d take a Beatles every time over Munsters. Better theme and more interesting layout.

You're comparing a Premium/LE (Monster Bash) to a Pro Munsters. And Beatles...ugh. Munsters code will destroy the very simple Beatles code. Wait until the Prem/LE pics are out, then make the judgement.
My main issue with all Stern tables, is the lack of interactive toys. If I’m going to pay Sterns high asking prices, it better be more than artwork underglass. They better have worlds under glass, loaded with interactive toys like JJP. Im not trying to turn this into JJP vs Stern. JJP has upped the game for sure. An empty play field is not very pinball like and especially in the 21st century. I know the pics are low Rez and maybe the high Rez will change minds, but the PF looks rather empty and more in the vain of the Beatles table. I love the Munsters show. It’s a classic, so I really want to like this table. Will hold full judgement till complete reveal and play is shown. Stern is smart to piece meal the reveal to us.
I own Batman 66 and love the table theme integration. But it has some motorized active toys. Penguin crane is one of the all time best and the bat cave turntable another quality motorized toy. Munsters beside it would look nice. So here’s hoping full reveal looks better and full demo shows more motorized toys.
