Close, but the Beatles license was so expensive they had to go more classic. Brunswick is allowing Stern to rehash their Alive home model. This will keep The Beatles msrp just under $10k.
Quoted from PW79:I hear ya but Stern doesn’t do anything expensive.
So it can’t be expensive
Because if it were
It wouldn’t happenStar Wars had its nuts cut because Gary knew he could sell a box of lights with the license so why bother.
Your last sentence is the one thing that concerns me about The Munsters.
Quoted from kklank:Your last sentence is the one thing that concerns me about The Munsters.
I do not see what SW has to do with the Munsters. You cannot conpare a Ritchie game to a Borg game. Look only at what Borg has been doing lately.
Quoted from kklank:Your last sentence is the one thing that concerns me about The Munsters.
Thats a fair concern but I suspect license value for Munsters is Far from that of Star Wars especially with the Disney tax. lol Munsters can go in So many quirky cool directions I think this could be there big hit for sure if done right.
Quoted from mnpinball:Seawitch
Not sure if this a joke or being a Stern Classic, maybe for real?!
Quoted from mnpinball:Seawitch
I'd rather they remade SeaWitch with new code and an LCD display than do Beatles. As I suspect would most people in pinball.
That title is to expand the brand, though, which is what I think a lot of people aren't getting.
I don't think it will be particularly attractive to many people in the hobby, nor will that many sell to them.
Quoted from NoQuarters:I think I'm looking at the wrong thread - I thought this was the Munsters thread ?
Must have got changed today. Sorry - I'll go look in the Beatles thread and see if the Munsters is there.
Yeah right, so...
What Beattles songs to listen to while playing munsters pinball?
Quoted from mnpinball:Seawitch
I do like the Seawitch game but kind of hard to see how they pull that off. I'm guessing there will be an LCD display?
Maybe they are only able to use a handful of songs, will be interesting to see how they integrate music into the game unless it will simply be a jukebox and select song at game start and that is it.
But it does have lots of drops, a spinner and a third flipper. Will be interesting to see how they pull this together modernized with music, art and possibly a display.
This could be really cool as long as it priced reasonably. A seawitch for 10k isn't going to work. I did hear it will be limited to one model and a set number of machines and that is it. I'm hoping it falls between pro and premium pricing.
Quoted from jwilson:You idiots realize he was kidding, right?
Well then give us another example of a stern that is a classic design(old school) and apparently a rehash machine.
Pbr,dominos,Whoa Nellie or something from the earlier 80's?
Quoted from kklank:Your last sentence is the one thing that concerns me about The Munsters.
I wouldnt worry.
Munsters does not have the recognition of Star Wars.
All rando's know of Star Wars but few know Munsters. Stern will have to make an actual game to sell this theme in decent numbers IMO.
You realise dominos wasn't a stern? It was a spooky contract game.

Forgot about that, thanks for pointing that out! Was just trying to think of recent old school games.
Quoted from iceman44:A dollar should have gotten the Munsters license and a cup of coffee.
This should be a big money maker for Stern.
I hope many a a game are sold!!
Quoted from Concretehardt:Who are the rumored designer/coder for Munsters?
Borg/Dwight
Which game is it that will have Gomez design in it? He had mentioned in one of the podcasts that a new title next year would have his design influences.

Deadpool
Quoted from Sinestro:Deadpool
No, he said something else is coming. Deadpool was already out.
Some here were thinking it would be Beatles.

Hard to say. As VP, he jumps in an assists the other game designers when needed. His fingers, in small ways, are probably in most games.

Beatles since Kaminkow cant design s***!
Quoted from DS_Nadine:Beatles since Kaminkow cant design s***!
Is it Seawitch or not? A modified Seawitch layout by Gomez?
Quoted from Psw757:Did you listen to the podcast more than once?
The issue of cost was specifically asked and specifically stated not crazily priced.
Unless your saying he’s full of shit.
Didn’t say it was cheap but they make Beatles everything from magnets, backpacks, lamps, bedding, really everything you can imagine.
You are also listening to the salesman... remember that
Quoted from flynnibus:You are also listening to the salesman... remember that
Very true, they are good at selling boxes of lights aren't they!
I posted a message on Sterns FB "Munsters at expo?" They replied "Deadpool, and a smiley face" They're hiding something....
Maybe it will be Munsters with Deadpool character replacing all the Munsters characters. Sort of like all the DVDs in Walmart with Deadpool on the covers replacing the real actors from the movie covers.
Quoted from jwilson:You idiots realize he was kidding, right?
Are you sure about that?!
I guess we will find out who eats crow in a few months time

Gdamnit.....now I may have to start setting money aside.
Quoted from Hdmike444:Has anyone seen playfield pics of this or just the cab pics?
Only in my Dreams......Its Awesome!

Why would anyone do this?

Since when does imaginary hype need to be clarified on Pinside?

You really want the Beatles? Seems that is what is being talked about here.
Quoted from tmntrule999:Ok, I dont know where I missed this, but pics of the cabinet were shown????
I just remember these ones... plus those ones.

Quoted from OLDPINGUY:Good Looking Grandma! for 78!...Would have made Grandpa Happy![quoted image]
I don't know, Grandpa's character was between 400 - 700 years old. At 78, a wife better look terrific.
pasted_image (resized).pngIf these turn out to be accurate. I think finally the Prem might be the best art package... I do think the LE looks slick and cool though and the handles are a nice touch. But, I just prefer more color to be honest. Its a pinball, it's meant to pop and perhaps be a little garish. But, the main thing is, I think the Munster Coach picture looks better on the side cab than translite, and I prefer the family portrait to be the translite.

See your point, but is that a brass coin door on the LE? A sick looking game...the B&W does it for me on this one.......choice is good!!!!

I get you. Its a really hard choice. As its just so wild and unique and would look great in any room. But, for my collection and my room decorations, the more bombastic and vivid color approach fits better...
And I'm also not rich... So I don't think I could afford an LE even if I wanted to.

They both look great, imho...No wrong choice here....

Hope its not Dwight, just not a fan of his code for some reason.
Quoted from Ven:Hope its not Dwight, just not a fan of his code for some reason.
It's a BFD (Borg - Design, Franchi-Art, Dwight-Code lead), so Dwight for sure.
