Quoted from Rarehero:

Being frugal doesn't always have to result in poor art...you just need a good artist who knows how to stretch the budget and create a few appealing assets to manipulate well.

Hey there,

I'm writing a game for this platform currently, and if you know of an artist that meets these requirements, please send them my way! (Seriously).

Quoted from PinballShoppe:

You can also have stuff suspended down over the LCD - it just can't touch the playfield surface (messes with ball detection). Plenty of opportunity for wireforms or targets, but perhaps not ramps?

That depends. As long as you don't care about tracking balls that travel through the section on other side of the playfield where the grid is blocked, there's nothing technically stopping you from having a ramp that interrupts the grid.

Quoted from solarvalue:

No, I'm pretty sure stuff can touch the playfield surface, it's not a touch-screen, the ball detection works in a different way.

Yes and no. If its blocking the sensor array, then detection will be cut off for a small section of the playfield. Though if your design accounts for this, it wouldn't be a problem. You would still be able to track other areas.
