It's cool you and your girl like to play video games. I'd recommend trying co-op games on your standup. Bubble Bobble, Buster Bros, Battletoads, contra, metal slugs, etc... Lots of co-op shooters as well. Back when my wife would play arcades she always liked Legendary Wings and Me. Pacman. And don't forget about Warlords. Great co-op game.

Have fun

Oh and wait till you try a newer Golden Tee. They're amazing. Way better graphics, multiple swings, online matches. Would highly recommend going to a pub and try one.

Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:

I am hooked again!
There is a topic going on about a Robotron arcade find, and I had never heard of it, or played it, but I looked it up and thought it looked cool and I hoped my machine has it, and it did!
(and was totally awesome that the controls worked the way they should for Robotron, instead of me having to do more work to get Pole Position 2 going).
A friend introduced me to Golden Tee, playing this machine, and that is about all we play anymore, except the real one with awesome graphics.
I may have said it before, but having a real boat, I love River Patrol, but it wears out my elbows playing but I still do.
I hope I added River Patrol and even Golden Tee to someone here that has not played them yet, at the same time Robotron has been added to my list to play on this machine.
(and so awesome we can google wiki and read about games before we try to get a hint about what is going on).
This multi has one game called Chiller, that is like a horror movie. I had goofed off with it a tad in the past, but curios if anyone knows what is really up with that game? (about to wiki it)
Anyway, while not rare, collectible, or anything else, bang for the buck I think a 12k games multi for 2500 bucks is a decent value for what you get from it.
I have skipped over and never even tried games like burger time, but after playing Robotron on here, I wonder what else I am missing?
I had a real Dig Dug for 30 years, and this game is spot on with that game, but the real Golden Tee is a whole lot better.
(I like Centipede on it also, and Missile Command, and Astroids, all pretty much spot on).
Bang for the buck a multicade is good.

The first multicade i bought was in a robotron cabinet.
Never played burgertime? Great strategy game. Have to learn their patterns to score big. Patience is key.
Always preferred Mr. Do over digdug.
Other favs from the era for me. Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong jr, Burgertime, Frogger, Elevator Action, Ms.Pacman, Warlords, Klax, Qix.

Quoted from Percula:

I am looking into 1of these . So many options does anybody have any advice .

Depends what your looking for. Are you looking to build yourself or buy one? If you just want to play the basic 1 player side scrolling games a 60 in 1 will do. If you want the street fighters, mortal kombats you'll need something a little more powerful. There's Pandora boxes which supplies the hard drive and you can get bundles with buttons and joysticks. You can program a old computer with 1000s of games also. You want a mega, 4 player with a 50" screen? There's that also.

Check your local buy and sells. There's literally dozens in every city for sale. A quick search on mine and there's a couple priced around a $1000 loaded with 3000 or so games, trackball, etc... I paid $400 for my first one. $100 for my last one with a mame computer in a mortal kombat cab. Had 8000 games on it.

I'd say program a old computer, buy some buttons and joysticks online and have fun. You'll need a vga converter if you want to play on a HDMI TV.
Avoid rasp pi if you want a trackball. It doesn't work.

Quoted from Percula:

That’s great info . My buddy wants to build but so many decisions and ways to go wrong . I would want at least a two player ,track ball and spinner . With plenty of room to add on games
