Absolutely Extreme Home Arcades! I purchased an EHA approximately a year ago & it's our favorite machine in the house. This cabinet comes complete w/ 8 way & 4 way joysticks, any button configuration you would want, a trackball, remote X-Box Controllers, light guns & a trackball.

I just received this after a years wait from kick starter. It’s fantastic and doesn’t take up too much space! They’re adding more games all of the time. It’s a very modern day set up for retro games.
I am very pleased with the 3512 game cocktail that I got from AB Video Arcades. It has a tilt up screen, 8 way joystick, track ball, and many other nice features. It plays both vertical and horizontal games and is very well built. It’s price is somewhat less than other comparable models. Customer service has been great.

I have a N2Fun built machine. It came with 200,000+ games... pretty much every arcade game to about 2005 and every console game before PS3 and every computer game for every system before about 2000. It is fantastic. I got it from the company office for free for reasons that will soon come apparent. With that many games, it is difficult to find things. Also, it is filled with EVERY game... to include a bunch of random Japanese pornographic games. I cannot for the life of me get rid of them. I have little kids and I don't want them to have access to that so they are not allowed to pick out games. I think the system runs about $3,000 new. It is based on a XTENSIONS arcade cabinet with a Hyperspin computer running it. After having it set up for a year, I honestly think the best bang for your buck is a Rasberry Pi based Arcade 1up. I got one off of facebook/had one built for around $700. Arcade Legends 3 is the best IMO; I've owned a lot of Multicades over the years and AL3 has the best mix of games without being too much. 20k games is great, but then you never end up playing one for more than 2 minutes, and it's impossible for guests to figure out at a party.
AL3 saves high scores, easy to use menu and has GTForeComplete

Having zillions of roms is all about organizing them in lists, one favorites, one 80s, one shoot em up etc.
In the end a simple can with 2 sticks and 6 buttons each is all that's needed. That's why I can't stand these giant panels covered with a million things

Yeah, I agree, Neo with the multi cart is awesome, I hate that cheap multi cart menu though.
I'm OCD with mame cabs, if it's not licensed, it bothers me immensely, that's what I love about AL3.
I'm thinking of getting a PacMan Pixel Bash, the game list is pretty good and I like that it's a 4 way stick and vertical monitor.
Another thing I can't stand is Franken Panels, I don't know...It's hard, because I wouldn't be completely happy unless I had space for 20-30 original arcade cabs, and that isn't happening ever.

They are in Spain and it took about 3 weeks for it to be built and arrive. Looks great and a solid build. This is the 114 in 1 system which is 114 systems using the hyperspin UI. They say there are 45000 games on it, not sure if that’s true but there are a lot. Super fun. I have found every arcade, colecovision and Atari game I could imagine. And they all worked great. Couldn’t figure out how to control Dragons Lair, so not sure that one works, but everything else I’ve tried so far has been working well.

I bought that one 25 years ago, it came with me when I moved to the Bay area. I just hope the tube doesn't die on me, I don't have a plan B and they will likely become unobtanium at some points.

Yup, I am still running CRTs in all 4 of my cabs. It really adds to the authentic arcade experience, imo. If I had to play on LCD, I would just play them on my tv and sell most of the cabs. I'm afraid these CRTs are like ticking time bombs. One by one they will ultimately kick the bucket and there's just not much hope for the future.

Every year it seems less and less people are repairing CRTs.

They are dying for sure; I had a bunch kick the can on me, and don't have the time or patience to repair them...I've adjusted to life with LCD's.
For me, the feeling of standing at an arcade cab never gets old...You need at least one in a gameroom.
I've done cap kits and flyback replacement on some of mine, but beyond that it does seem like there's a very steep learning curve and a lot that can go horribly wrong with aging CRTs. Still, I will try to keep them going as long as I can, and I will always keep at least one upright cab even if I have to switch over to a flat screen. Amazingly, one of my cabs that I have had for 15 years has an untouched 25" W/G from the 90s that still looks perfect every time, so who knows how long they can last in home use.

Wow, that's amazing...Who knows, it could last 40 years; those W/G's are beasts.
I’ve repaired and re capped dozens of crt monitors in my life. Still have one in my Ms Pac that is converted to a 60 in 1 game. But to be honest. After building over a hundred multigames with LCD monitors. I too am now adjusted to accepting them as the monitor of choice. Sure CRT monitors do look a little better but use a ton of electricity and weigh as much. As far as I’m concerned I’m not going back to them.
I’m thinking of building a MAME box and just using it with my tv. Anyone here buy and play with the new Sinden Light Guns? I know they’re relatively new.
Has anyone tried the new Pandora's Box CX? I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading from the 6, which doesn't handle games like MK2 or Killer Instinct or any 3D racers.

You have made the right choice if want the best w/ everything. There is so much incredible variety w/ this machine that you will always find something different to make you/yours smile. The unique setup w/ high resolution & surround sound make all the games pop. Bringing the arcade into your home w/ full intensity.
The machine that I chose is called a Newlix. This is a Japanese Candy Machine that was prevalent in the 80's. My setup includes light guns, trackball, 4-way/8-way joysticks & pinball buttons on each side of the control panel. I was originally going to order a Megacade, but this machine was available immediately. I'm very happy w/ this machine since we are able to sit comfortably in a computer chair & play the night away.
I highly encourage you to register via Facebook ~ Extreme Arcade Owners Unite. This is excellent content for current & future owners of an EHA. There's a lot of great information on this site. Also, you might want to check out DThomas & Scantron5k via You Tube. Just Goggle those titles in the search engine, then you will have tons of videos related to EHA to enjoy.

This is a Taito Viewlix knock off, it's not from the 80s, it's a late 2000 cabinet.

Definitely love the tron cab style might need to take that idea from u for my mega cade machine.

Honestly if you’re not technically inclined with linux, just get a Pandora’s box DX with a chamma harness and arcade power supply. $100 for everything and you have the entire guts of the machine. Just need buttons and sticks and you’re good. Works with any monitor via hdmi.

Congrats on ordering a EHA Megacade! I have a 4 player Megacade and gamebox from EHA. They are great systems, endless fun for the whole family. Did you add the Manhattan Drive with your machine?

Yes I got every upgrade / option they have now for the art work which I still gotta work on I also ordered the largest active marquee

I obtained the Manhattan Project 16TB a few months ago & it is literally a game changer. Until this past summer all EHA's came stock w/ the 10TB Hard Drive. Though the Manhattan Project is a bit glitchey due to the early code release, the MP does blow the 10TB out of the water. In a few weeks there will be a 1.1 code update, as this will iron out some of the bugs. The goal for this drive is an ultimate 2.0 release which will be phenomenal! When purchasing an EHA you will be able to send your drive in for a lifetime of free code update.

Not sure if you have but check out EHA's website for a complete list of artwork designs for both the Stealth & Megacade cabinets. There are many excellent choices w/ consideration to your desired preference. There is definitely a Megacade Tron cabinet on full display on the EHA site. You can also design your own custom artwork. Lots of great choices >>>
Old-school classic gamer here, and I too am hooked on my multicades.
I have a Ms. PAC-Man that I use for vertical games and a Stargate for horizontal games (primarily a multi-Williams setup).
I was fortunate to source brand new Wells Gardner CRTs for the authentic arcade experience.
But these machines leave out perhaps my most loved games which were the vectors. So thus my latest edition is a Mulitivector machine running in a Space Duel cabinet with a vector monitor.
Plus a Star Wars with an ESB kit thrown in for good measure.
For this child of the 80s, it is literally Nirvana!
I used to have a full size mame cabinet, but it took up a lot of room and the CRT was fixed in a horizontal position.
My new setup is a 55 4K TV with an extension swivel mount that I built. This allows me to play games in their correct orientation with maximum use of the monitor. It also takes up WAY less space when not in use as the monitor just folds back onto the wall. I’m just using an X-Arcade, but I added a spinner.

I’m waiting for the MP2.0 release before I upgrade both of my drives. I want all the bugs to be ironed out first, plus my current 10tb drive has been customized to my liking. I’ve already added some of the new content from the MP drive so I can afford to wait until the MP is closer to perfect.

THanks man I will check it out and come up with a plan, sounds like I probably wont physically get the machine for many many months, so its cool. I like the no rush feel. Hey quick question. I got the 4 player coin door, so does coin operation actually work? Like I put in quarters to get credits and then select the game?
I have never actually used my coin slot operation. With so many options w/ the EHA I'm very certain that there is a way to configure a coin credit. There are very knowledgeable folks on the Extreme Arcade Home Owners Unite site that would be able to answer this or any other ?'s.
Dave just moved his operation into another larger facility several months ago. I know that these machines are in high demand as the waiting period is approximately eight months. It's an awesome experience when you first receive your machine.
I built two different multi machines this year. One is a 2 player fighter style. 6 buttons per player, using a raspberry pi.
Also just got done building a custom light gun mame cabinet. It plays 150 plus light gun games, has a digital marquee that changes with your game selection, it’s pretty awesome. If you guys are interested I can try and add pictures later.
I'd be interested in learning more about your light gun build. I have room for two arcades in my current game room. I know emulation is always a bit taboo, but realistically in my situation emulation is a great way for me to maximize the amount of fun I can have in the space. My current build is in an old Ms. Pacman cabinet and that works for 2-player, 6-button games. I wouldn't mind adding a second build of either light gun games or 4-player, 3-button games.

Id be interested in this too, I have an "America's Army" cab converted to Area 51/ Maximum force. I also own a Midway's Invasion board but I'd love to have more variety in pew pew games.
I have a multicade question for you guys that have more experience than me (which is zero)
I just got an AtGames Legends Ultimate. I bought a 5400 usb game stick on Etsy. The games work great and we are having tons of fun with it, but I’m not a fan of how either interface (not sure what to call it) works.
Coinopsx is cool looking but takes too long to load up and navigating the different systems to the favorites list is too complicated for my young girls.
Addonx loads fast and I like the look of the games as the game box, but I can’t add a favorites. Right now on Addonx it just shows all the different systems on the left and then when you highlight them it shows every game associated with that system.
My question is, can I put the USB in my computer, make a new folder called Favorites or something like that and move the games I want to regularly play, about 100 of them, into that folder so when I go to addonx my girls can just pick from the games I put on the favorites? If this is something I can do, is there a quick way of explaining how to do that or a tutorial online somewhere? I have zero experience with mames or raspberry pi or emulation or any of that.
