Quoted from bingopodcast:

Today, however, on my lunch break, I figured out the minor programming change needed to achieve an over 3000%+ speed improvement on menu loading for my Multi games.

Yay!!

Quoted from bingopodcast:

I have been working on Universal's "Winner", which has roughly triple the number of unique graphical elements as Bally's Turf King, which itself has quite a few.
I do not have a schematic for "Winner", but do have one for the other Universal game, Photo Finish. While they are not the same game - Winner has quite a few interesting additions - they are likely similar enough in construction for me to work through. I do have a manual (paperwork courtesy of Dennis Dodel - thank you!), and between the two, I should be able to figure out what needs to happen.
I am making several assumptions here, but because of what I learned about United bingos, I think I have a good clue - United did not make massive changes to their wiring/portioning between games. As a start, I will do the same here.
dennisdodel - one question about Winner: I see on the IPDB that all four bumpers are not lit. In what circumstance does the bumper turn off? Does one Win bumper alternate with coin? I had assumed that all four bumpers were constantly lit unless the horse made it across the finish line at the top of the backglass.

I have not played it for a few years and it is down at the moment. I really don't remember the bumper operation. Sorry.
I have a Winner schematic if you want me to send you a copy.

The backglass arrived a few days ago and is now installed in the machine! The machine is back together and really looks fantastic.
Some photos of the machine, and a short video of the coin flash for a game.

Joel's backglass artwork complements the original artwork of the games perfectly. So pleased with how this has come together.
Still on the lookout for play all / extra ball buttons for the footrail (I'm using old magic screen buttons in those positions). I missed out on a few blank buttons several years ago and still kick myself for that. I may end up modifying the bingo buttons further, sanding/smoothing the top surface and slicing off some of the length of the button. I had previously added extra mounting clip grooves to the shafts, but in order to make those buttons more reliable (the wiring is attached to the underside of the lockbar assembly), I'll need to give the switches some room to breathe. So a little bit of physical work is left to make the game perfect, but definitely almost there!
A reminder that unlike the Multi-Bingo, the sound in Multi-Races is purely from original electro-mechanical components driven by the boardset inside the game.

This looks fantastic! Very professional work. Congratulations to Joel and Nick. Cannot wait to see it in person.
