It gives a credit at the first 1000 points. then again a few thousand points later (3000 or 5000) then at the end of the game racks up 3 more credits.

How do i fix this?

Check your replay settings while in test mode. This is usually done by people to rack up credits on classic Bally/Stern pinballs in lieu of wiring in a credit switch or buying free play ROMS for their game.
