A friend brought me his Mr and Mrs Pacman because when game starts, the coils won't work.

So I checked in test mode, and switch 15 flickers. So the tilt, then.
But I've tried disconnecting them, and nothing seems to do.
I've tried my CPU board (which works fine) and the problem is the same.

I spent my afternoon trying everything I could, but I'm stuck here...
Any idea will help !

Quoted from Xenon75:

Cut a leg off of those disc caps on the tilt mechs and see if the problem goes away.

I've tried that. And unsoldering some of these wires. But nothing changed yet...

Quoted from snyper2099:

Did you remove the disc caps from ALL THE TILTS IN THE GAME?

Do you mean, at the same time ?
I may not have done that.

Anyway, at some point, I think i'l just disconnect everything and start reconnecting every wire one by one

Quoted from Quench:

Go into switch test mode.
Depending which connector stops the switch closure will tell you if it's the playfield tilt or cabinet tilt to concentrate on.

So there is a playfield tilt???!!!!
I was wondering why there was a "(3)" after "tilt switch" in the manual.
Well actually, I was wondering if the 3 were the 3 on the picture...

Definitely where I'll have a look next time !

Quoted from Eric_S:

When I first got into the hobby, I had a MMPM and a tilt issue where hitting a drop target would cause the game to tilt out. The issue went away when I replaced the 5V filter capacitor on the solenoid driver board and added the jumper enhancements. I figured a flaky 5V supply was the culprit.

Quoted from Quench:

Yeah. Picture below borrowed from ipdb.org

ahaaa !
My friends, you are a breath of hope in this rainy month of May !

So that 3 tilt, the one under the playfield, was actually the problem.
Thanks for the help !
