I just picked up a project Mousin' Around and upon inspection discovered red lamp boards under the playfield. I'm assuming this means it's a prototype / test game?

Also - does anyone know of any other differences these may have had? Nothing on the playfield jumped out at me as being different.

Any info would be awesome!

It needs to have all red lamp boards to be a prototype, and an x in the serial #

Differences? I'd be interested in seeing pics. Never heard of a proto Mousin!

Not my pin in this link (unfortunately) - but has the same red boards -

Was some of the only info I could find on test / prototypes

I have red lamp boards on mine.

Interesting - do you also have an X in front of your serial #?

#6 9 years ago

No I do not.

The single red lamp boards were used on all Mousin Arounds... and most Sys11s with single lamp boards. The bigger ones need to be red, too, to = prototype

Well, there you go - mine may not be a test game, haven't been able to check the serial # yet. But hey, it's still a Mousin around!

Hey that is my Mousing Around! I purchased it almost 2 years ago. It was in very nice original condition and looks good in my collection as its a very under appreciated pin! My friends and I always enjoyed Mousing Around and Police Force. Since both pins used the ramps for big scoring we had a custom ramp riders T-shirt made for the monthly scoring champ.

Most of my boards are also stamped "test 7" does that mean anything? And I have those orange tags similar to the ones on doughslingers, they also are stamped test on the back. My first system 11, so maybe this is common?
