Edit: Problem solved. I should have used switch levels before posting. I am so used to using switch edges I forget about switch levels!
Turns out one of the playfield wiring harness tags got jammed into the trough behind the backboard and caused the mouse hole switch to stay stuck on. Or someone did it on purpose. Who knows? I have decided that the music turning off once the 2nd ball in MB is relocked must be by design.

I'm having an interesting problem with Mousin Around..
I dug the game out of storage and got it set up. Got the usual switch/coil issues fixed.
I played a game, got multiball and relocked balls into the cheese traps. Once a ball gets relocked into the cheese trap, it gets released after a few seconds. Here's where things get funny. Once the 2nd ball gets locked into the cheese trap and then ejected back out onto the playfield, the game goes silent - music stops - and even though jackpot is lit, if you make the shot you just get a cheese letter. You cannot get a jackpot until 2 of the balls drain and you get the last chance time to get the jackpot.
At first I thought it might be a software glitch because my game was running L1 software. So I burned up some eproms and upgraded it to L4. Same problem.
So that's not it. It looks like the game is losing track of the balls which is why the music stops. But I have checked the switches in the trough behind the backboard, the ball trough itself, the outhole, the cheese locks, etc. All check ok in switch levels test.
One more thing I just thought of and that's to use switch edges to see if any other switches are shown as closed paired with another switch.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Michael
