Quoted from PinballReviver:I am restoring a Motordome right now. I think that screw is there to keep the ball from getting stuck there. The machine I am working on does not have the metal ball guide by that flipper so I had to add a post to keep the ball from getting stuck under the flipper.
Do you have a photo of your work, including the upper right flipper post? I’ll take any and all info you have on your work
I did a little tracing of my cut white with black line/streak/stripe and it looks like it’s possibly related to my center blue visor lights and right lightning bolt lights. Both sets of lights have not worked since getting the machine. The bulbs don’t appear to be burnt out (visor bulbs removed in the photos). There is funky wiring where the cut was made, so I really need to dive deeper. Any Motordome wiring photos near the center lights and right upper flipper would be very much appreciated

What is this bulb socket for? To light the cabinet? There's nothing on the topside of the playing field.

Must have got too hot and charred the wood. Think that could have caused someone to cut that white and black wire if they’re related (colors correlate, but need to dive in and really trace it).

Edit: Stumbled upon a post by Vid referencing adhesive copper foil as a power conductor for replacing Bally light sockets. Can you use that adhesive copper foil for rewiring 555's, or is it just for 44's? They offer tinned copper tape - any reason to use or not use that? Thinking about a full LED conversion and not sure what sockets I should use (stick with 555s and repair as needed, or upgrade to 44s).
