In terms of value for the dollar, Road Show is way underappreciated.
Quoted from Yelobird:For as much as I have lost playing Dolly I could own 3. It’s a love/hate relationship. Would have to include Dr Who and Ripleys to the list as a great value for a always fun shooting game with an understandable rule set.
I forgot about Doctor Who!
5 star super underrated!!!
Quoted from Azmodeus:Shadow is my vastly underrated suggestion.
Outstanding game example, but very polarizing to players. I am in the camp that loves it.
No pop bumpers. The most amazing ball lock. Variable back glass options.

Genuine question…. Does anyone not like The Shadow’s gameplay? I always thought the ranking was lowered due to the art … mainly because of the translite.
Quoted from NC_Pin:Genuine question…. Does anyone not like The Shadow’s gameplay? I always thought the ranking was lowered due to the art … mainly because of the translite.
Shadow is a great game, but the sound package and switching ramps get old. I had one for a year and loved it, but I have never missed it once it left.
Quoted from BeachPickle:Dolly makes for the best dollar games. The rule set is so stupidly simple, but is incredibly hard to execute consistently. She can be so sweet to you sometimes, and then absolutely evil. I also put a powerball in mine, which makes things even more fun.
Next time I’m working on it I’m going to change the settings so that the drops don’t collect “Parton” letters, to incentivize you shooting the spinner to get up to the scoop. [quoted image]
great game but the cat mod is pretty good too
Quoted from Jamesays:great game but the cat mod is pretty good too
Definitely makes the game more challenging.
Quoted from NC_Pin:Genuine question…. Does anyone not like The Shadow’s gameplay? I always thought the ranking was lowered due to the art … mainly because of the translite.
It is ranked lower because it is
A) a "B" movie theme
and
B) people don't like the Alec Baldwin translite (which most people change out, btw)
If not for those 2 things, I feel it would be in the 8k+ range.
P.S. I have had many opportunities to replace it with games that cost twice as much, but when it comes down to it...TS is better and has more longevity in a home collection than almost all of those.
Title Fight and all other "street level" games.
Trident
Mousing Around
Baywatch
Hollywood Heat
Hardbody
Quoted from John_I:Shadow is a great game, but the sound package and switching ramps get old. I had one for a year and loved it, but I have never missed it once it left.
Disagree. Shadow is in my top five and never gets old. Steal of a buy, although it has gone up in value.
Post passes don't work on mine, so I use ramps to pass. The ramp diverters can be used to help short shots make it up the ramps. The mini pf is genius, especially mixed with multiballs. Best Video mode in all of pinball, the only one I look forward to playing. Unique integration of gun into gameplay. Super funny Easter egg mode that I always go for. Sooooo much repeatable fun.
Quoted from GregCon:In terms of value for the dollar, Road Show is way underappreciated.
Good point, especially if you have the soren code so modes are more random and therefore more fun!
I don't know if I'll ever sell mine. Probably someday but man, this update does so much that no game is ever the same.
In terms of gameplay I don’t think the Beatles gets enough credit for how fast and fun it is. I can also explain the whole game to someone in 30 seconds which adds to it being my favorite modern game for multiplayer games. The repeatable looping orbit shot and spinners are pure sex.
Quoted from sublime90803:Hardbody is great. The game is fun to play and the art is so bad that it's good. So cheesy it gets a pass. It's very similar to Bally BMX.
Ya know, BMX is severely underrated as well. Good point.
The problem with BMX is that there aren’t many of them around.
Very Collectable. A lot of fun.
Quoted from Chisox:In terms of gameplay I don’t think the Beatles gets enough credit for how fast and fun it is. Great pick Chisox. Ya know I was kind of upset when Stern was going to reskin Seawitch but Stern did an amazing job with the Beatles. It’s just a blast to play.
It’s one of the reasons I went forward with the Haggis Fathom purchase.

Me too!
Quoted from kklank:It’s one of the reasons I went forward with the Haggis Fathom purchase.
Yet oddly you Have one of the nicest Fathom's known to man in your collection..... lol I had three JJP POTC's at one time so I understand the obsession.
High Roller Casino…way too far down the list. If you’re not a gambler, it might be hard to understand why you’re winning or losing…that I can understand, but if you do understand the games, it’s such a blast! The sights and sounds are fantastic! Hilarious comments during the gameplay!

Shout out to Gold Wings.
I'd also vouch for Baywatch, Dolly is way more fun than you'd think it should be from the target placement and limited playfield, GoT deserves a mention, but my #1 pick is still World Poker Tour.
Got to play BKSoR the other day. Didn't like it. By Steve Ritchie standards it's a poor shooter, and it takes way more effort to get to the upper level than it should when half your shots there are arbitrarily blocked or bricked. It basically came across like a worse Game Of Thrones.
Quoted from NC_Pin:Genuine question…. Does anyone not like The Shadow’s gameplay? I always thought the ranking was lowered due to the art … mainly because of the translite.
Sometimes I love playing Shadow, other times it feels cluttered and the ramp diverts just annoy me
Quoted from Lostcause:Gold Wings is on my wanted radar
Robowar & Robocop play them if you can
Robocop never gets old, simple but it tickles all the nostalgia buttons.
Your coming with me creep!
Quoted from EalaDubhSidhe:Got to play BKSoR the other day. Didn't like it. By Steve Ritchie standards it's a poor shooter, and it takes way more effort to get to the upper level than it should when half your shots there are arbitrarily blocked or bricked.
If you run into one, try giving the pro version a try. It plays much different without the upper playfield.
Quoted from gdonovan:Robocop never gets old, simple but it tickles all the nostalgia buttons.
Indeed! It's so satisfying getting the ball to successfully jump over the gap on the ramp.
Quoted from radial_head:Coming in hot with the hottest take:
ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE.
That game is much better with the sound off
Quoted from BeachPickle:Dolly makes for the best dollar games. The rule set is so stupidly simple, but is incredibly hard to execute consistently. She can be so sweet to you sometimes, and then absolutely evil. I also put a powerball in mine, which makes things even more fun.

I was about to say Dolly! I’d probably play it before most any other game that comes to mind! So simple, yet so addictive and as mentioned, at times oh so brutal!
Quoted from NC_Pin:Genuine question…. Does anyone not like The Shadow’s gameplay? I always thought the ranking was lowered due to the art … mainly because of the translite.
I like it but also find it gets old fast... owned it more than once.
Its a game I will play every time I see one but own?? nah.
Hate the mini playfield also.
Xmen all day - what a fantastic game! Admittedly you do have to mod it to get the best out of it. It's waaaaay better with the custom audio package and the newton ball mod.
The rules are so good, the hero modes are great,
the battles with the villains are really well done and the magnets complement the theme perfectly. It's really not a bad shooter either - love all the combo callouts on it!
Quoted from Pinrookie:NBAFB is so underrated.
It's an ok game but everyone buying it with the intention to convert it into a MM
Bally Special Force. Load bombs on helicopter and drop on village. So wrong. Game is fun and no one knows about it. The bumper caps look like little huts. Hard times for the industry when it was built. Some of the wood on the one I had was from a cut up arcade game.

Good call ! I had one for a while and really enjoyed it. Had some great features like using virtual missiles to take out the drop targets
Crazy sounds too ! I’d happily own it again but they are pretty scarce over here, rarely seen.
Quoted from RyanStl:I never really looked much in the 200-300 range, but why is LW3 205?
Right!? Lethal Weapon 3 has spinners, drop targets, a crazy looping ramp, a big DMD with fun interactive scenes, choose your song option and a gun shooter! It's also pretty open and fun to play. Not super deep but fun to shoot around.
Quoted from Daditude:P.S. I have had many opportunities to replace it with games that cost twice as much, but when it comes down to it...TS is better and has more longevity in a home collection than almost all of those.
I don't have the biggest or best collection in the world, but if I could only keep one of my games, it sure might be TS. I love everything about it except the big ol' Baldwin... which I don't love, but don't hate either.
Quoted from Tranquilize:Best Video mode in all of pinball, the only one I look forward to playing.
Heck yes.
Quoted from Daditude:It is ranked lower because it is

That's my belief too.... it is a great playing game.
A) The theme is-what-it-is - I don't really mind it, but it certainly isn't one of my favorite themes.
B) Art... this is what I don't really understand. Yes, the translite isn't great, but it can be replaced by the one created by Aurich... which is turns it into one of the alltime great backglasses. The cabinet art is actually pretty awesome - one of my favorites from the 90's... the playfield has has an art deco feel and matches nicely with the toys. IMO... if you change out the translite/speaker panel you can make The Shadow into one of the coolest looking games from the 90's. It is probably the coolest looking game in my collection.
C) You didn't add it... but sound... I enjoy the sound package in the game. I also consider it underrated
Quoted from STLOkie:Right!? Lethal Weapon 3 has spinners, drop targets, a crazy looping ramp, a big DMD with fun interactive scenes, choose your song option and a gun shooter! It's also pretty open and fun to play. Not super deep but fun to shoot around.
totally agree-its a real fun shooter
Layout is basically the same as T2- I have both games and prefer LW3 over T2
I know this isn’t the right audience, but South Park is very underrated. Hear me out…all of the kids, all their friends, and all of the non-pinball peeps that come over love it. My kids (9 & 13) play pinball with me as long as they are playing South Park.
Now, here is my confession. Every time I play this game…I am smiling and yes dancing. I am as ashamed of myself as you are embarrassed for me. I feel shame. I originally picked it up to occupy a free space while I wait for Stern built my Deadpool. Now it looks like it will stay a lot longer than intended. Due to used pin prices and the fact that the family loves it. No wonder it does so well on route. It is fun to play and very underrated. Probably not the most underrated, but it really surprised me.
Quoted from SirMachismo:Every time I play this game…I am smiling and yes dancing.
Honestly Elvira HOH is similar, yet some people say it's one of the best pins ever made. Easy shooter, simple/classic rules, but very humorous and fun. I do think EHOH is better than SP in every category, but they're not worlds apart. Yet one is rated #12 and the other #244.
Quoted from kklank:Most underrated game.
Growing up I always thought that "spin the bottle" was underrated.
It's within the top 50 on here, so I'm not sure it can be classed as underrated, but lots of people have mentioned the Shadow (which I totally agree with) and its right next to it in the rankings - Alice Coopers Nightmare Castle. Maybe its because there are only 500 of them out there, or because they require some fixing/adjustments out of the box, but I have spent the last month, playing, immensely enjoying, and totally raving about this excellent machine. All I ever heard about it was "it's too hard" and "the shots are way too tight". The shots ARE a bit tight I have to agree there - but this pin has sooooo much soul, charm and character. The theming is incredible, the artwork on it is stupendous, the music/sound FX absolutely ROCK, and the comic book animations are something to behold. The layout is so different to anything else I've ever owned and I love it.
I actually feel like I missed out a little not owning this sooner.
