Some games just tend to not last very long in collections and change hands very often. What do you think the most traded or sold used game is? My guess is Demolition Man. They always seem to be for sale!

Time Warp!
Every Craigslist has one
Every pinball show / flea market as 4 or 5.
It's cheap and unlovable and it's been a "first game" for thousands of people!
By number? Demoman, Pinbot, High Speed, DE Jurassic Park
All are great games that tend to be people's gateway drugs.
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:And at this exact second there are twenty-six (26) G&R LEs listed on the marketplace.
not surprised. it was such a disapointment for me

It also has to be a top 5 produced game at minimum in the past decade. I think they made 4,000 plus of them.

Did it even sell that well? So many used models, such a high price and the local distros all have NIB unsold sitting around for a while now. Was it really popular or they just overproduced this thing?

The hype was off the charts. It was the greatest world under glass ever. it was what Pinside has been begging for for a decade. It brought great shame to those cheap asses over at Stern who have been sticking it to the pinball community for years with their contempt and hubris. After years of false promises, of pinball snake oil, and of Golden Calves that failed to deliver...FINALLY, a game was here that was going to bring our lives meaning.
And then people played it, and it was just another pinball machine. Like it always is. Cause pinball is just pinball.
But yeah, the hype sold a TON of GNRs.
Probably somewhat regional.. But seems like many people have had a space odyssey/ mission at one point or another.

It was the highest produced EM game ever, so yeah! Strangely, I've only owned 2 or 3, far fewer than some other titles.

DM deserves more love.
I gotta agree. I see a lot of Demoman’s around and DE Jurassic Park was definitely the gateway for me!

Raven.
Motordome.
They look good for first time buyers who like the idea of having a pinball machine (but haven't really played any). But when someone buys one, they either find out they don't like pinball and sell it. Or they find out they do like pinball, just not Raven or Motordome, and they still sell it.

I agree on those. With regard to Motordome - 6803 games don't seem to get much respect. My first game was a Strange Science which got me into pinball. I had no idea what a 6803 game was at the time I bought it. I did research and fixed some issues and learned the quirks of the system - but it did not turn me off!
I will step out on a ledge and say.. Without a doubt for me.
Getaway II - or High Speed. I've had these titles numerous times. Always take a risk and usually come out ok.
When I started these were always available in the Midwest for under 1000. Price eventually hit 2k on average and then
what to crazy time highs.
2nd was Time Fantasy. I've owned 6 of them. 3 routed from same Distro. Still not very rare. First one I had 250 bucks working.
Stern POTC seems to pop up for sale often. Pinbot, Fish Tales (Williams made a ton of them), Terminator 2, Demolition Man. All of those games I like, but I know I could have purchased any of them easily as they come up for sale all the time. I agree with Raven and Motordome also, but I don't like those games. For a lot of these it comes down to production numbers, if they made 10k to 20k of them they are usaully easy to find. I have noticed the JJP GnR massive listings lately, I think an LE has sunk to 8k to 9k to get it sold used.

The owned vs wished can often tell you more about how good or desireable a game is than its rating. G&R Premium is a top 20 game (ha!) but it only has less than a 30% wished to owned ratio. MOST Other games on pinside are standing at between a 60-80% wished to owned ratio... with a few like White Water having more wished than owned. Interestingly enough the only games I can find that are way out whack like G&R are other ones that are currently easy to find... like Ultraman.

Maybe a regional thing. I don't think I've ever had a chance to play motordome let alone buy one.
6803s are uncommon for me to see for sale in pnw. I was leery when I picked up my d&d due to comments about the 6803 line in general , but I'm sure glad I grabbed it!

Seriously.. just because you were lucky enough to grab 6 acid snails, doesn't make it common.. I assure you it is rare and desirable.

Same. I don't even know anything about the gameplay, but that trippy artwork is awesome. If you guys haven't seen this thread yet check it out: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/you-ve-never-seen-a-time-fantasy-like-this-

Gameplah is pretty trippy too; its all aboot "Snail Time."

I love Time Fantasy. They’re rare around the northeast! Shoulda bought the last one at Pinfest. That LSD snail is awesome.
Monopoly and Harley-Davidson seems to be games everyone has had or is always for sale.

Thank you Levi for being you. You are awesome!
I have been in the hobby a meager 3 years and have loved watching this wild ride of a hobby. After playing and owning many of my dream theme and grail games, I have lost most of the FOMO and feel the truth...pinball is just pinball.
Quoted from Pinstein:Gotta be Flash, everyone has owned one and they dont stay in a collection long.
Basically the space mission of classic SS.. just ridiculously high production.
Great player tho.. one of these days, I could see bringing that one back home...

It is the cheapest solid state that is good. Steve Ritchie for the win!
Statistically I would confidently guess it would be Adams Family-by a large margin
The highest produced game-by a large margin and a game that likes to play musical chairs with collectors. I have joked before that some Adams may have been owned by 5-10 various collectors. HUO original owner Adams are like unicorns.
My vote is Adams

Yeah that would make sense except people love Addams and it’s expensive so it doesn’t get traded nearly as much as cheap plentiful shit like Flash and Time Warp.
So I don’t really buy that.
Adams do trade hands quite a bit but mainly between collectors-not just sitting on craigslist. I think there may be some confusion on pins that appear to be traded all the time just because the ads are up all the time on craigslist. If that were the case Gorgar deserves a vote
be interesting for Robin to pull data around games entering and leaving collections on pinside. Obvious not the most accurate, but would be interesting see and debate. Group games by decade.

I'd be interested in some metrics around the owned/wishlisted metric someone mentioned earlier. Compared to avg price and also compared to production numbers. Is there a way to get data dumps from pinside?
