Nothing comes close to Rick and Morty in terms of funniest game.
I've played and owned most of the contenders, and there's really no contest. It's not just the game's callouts, the game's humor goes deep... the whole approach that nothing is sacred, and pinball tropes themselves are open season.
Take the "Pancreas" mode, where it's "shoot the shot, spell the thing, pinball 101 here" according to Rick. Except he wants you to spell "P-I-R-A-T-E-S-O-F-T-H-E-P-A-N-C-R-E-A-S" by shooting ramps. The mode rules are part of the joke; as you fail to make shots quickly enough, Rick bitches, shows pity and lights all the shots.. the timer eventually counts into negative numbers, etc.
In Scary Terry.. replacing standard ballsave quotes with "That's not the way out!" .. or instead of the standard "Time is running out", how about poor Morty's "Hurry the fuck UP!" as he's about to be purged...
Roy's life, with all the ways the mode can end, usually in disaster...
Listen to the lyrics in Schwifty if you haven't yet...
The Meeseeks rule integrates their "helpfulness" from the show perfectly.. multipliers, more multipliers, even bigger 4x multipliers, but use em quickly or they'll divide and kill your score instead. "I just want to die!!!"
The final Meeseeks golf shot, with the famous LOOOOSSSEEEER quote if you fuck it up...
And that's not even getting into the dimensions, which are icing on the cake.
I don't think it would be possible for Stern or JJP to license and manufacture a game as funny as R&M. Not with their current mainstream target audience.
