Hi everyone, it's good to be back!
I have barely played pinball for almost two years. After being busy with work, and then the disasters of 2020 (I don't have any machines at home), I am happy to spend some time with my hobbies this summer.

Anyway, I started playing Attack from Mars, and it's not only fun because of the game, but the humor in this one cracks me up
Whoa Nellie also looks fun, but I never tried it, and of course Medieval Madness is hilarious.
Which pins can give you a good laugh?

No Good Gophers.

#3 2 years ago

Big Bang Bar, Bad Cats and Deadpool are pretty funny too.

Every time James Hetfield says " super fu$%##ing" jackpot i can't help but smile and laugh.

After putting a lot of time on Rick and Morty(It was on a friends) on an adult setting, I think it is the funniest pin I have ever heard.
I do agree Metallica, AFM, MM, and Iron Maiden are all hilarious as well.

#6 2 years ago

Rob Zombie has some great lines.

#7 2 years ago

Scared Stiff is pretty funny. Also fits for "humerus."

#8 2 years ago

Rick and Morty and Family Guy/Shrek are both funny… Everything else people have mentioned I would say is just “mildly amusing”. The thing that makes these two stand out is the fact that there are hundreds of different call outs from the shows. Most games repeat much more frequently because the library of call outs on other games is much smaller.

Rick and Morty without a doubt.

#10 2 years ago

RFM has some good humor in it as well as the others everyone has listed. R&M cracks me up with all of the stuff in it.

#11 2 years ago

Monster Bash

#12 2 years ago

Tspp and R&M

#13 2 years ago

I vote R&M too. AMH has some great humor too.

#14 2 years ago

Another thumbs up to Rick and Morty. I have Scared Stiff also which is funny, but nothing close to the level of Rick and Morty.

#15 2 years ago

South Park. I'm not above a cheap laugh

#16 2 years ago

Champion Pub

No longer PC, but what the heck it’s still funny to me. Sorry, but public policing is really hurting the comedian industry.

#17 2 years ago

No votes for Punny Factory ?

(Since I do not use any emojis you must read the sarcasm into some of my posts.)

#18 2 years ago

I find Iron Maiden amusing the way the callouts ridicule you and Spider Mans play better gets me.Tina Fey on MM is fun too.

#19 2 years ago

EATPM. Everyone always laughed when they would play it or watch. Who didn't like the "Boogie Men". Plus it had some funny callouts

#21 2 years ago

Deadpool

#22 2 years ago

My votes to to Rick and Morty as well.
Rob Zombie would be a close second for darker adult humor.

#23 2 years ago

Family Guy! It’s dark, raunchy and silly. Needs to be set to adult for the full experience.

#24 2 years ago

Humerous? Probably Bone Busters

#25 2 years ago

Oktoberfest in non-family mode has some fun and funny callouts. Suggestive without being too crude. A few that come to mind:

Otto when you select the castrated monkey stein more than once

The graphic duck hunt shooting mode

In the juggling mode when you loose a ball.

That Weiner dog is too scared to slide down the slide....

Really too many to list. Each mode has some good ones.

Thanks API for getting us away from licensed themes for a bit.

#26 2 years ago

My vote is for Rob Zombie as well. Very adult oriented, but very funny.

#27 2 years ago

High Roller Casino has some good call-outs.

#28 2 years ago

Bally Mad World. Funniest artwork I can think of, backglass and playfield.

#29 2 years ago

AMH, NGG, Deadpool, uhhhhhhh.... Party Zone?

#30 2 years ago

deadpool is definitely it for me

Idea for a humor pin - cobble together 1,000 great one liners in the memory, then achieving something moderately difficult in the game makes it speak the next one in the list, with a puh-dump-bump-tsshh at the end. Then after the 1,000 jokes it starts over. If it loses memory it would let you set the restart point in the list. Have the voice person do sort of a rough impression of Dangerfield or Youngman, or just some generic stand-up comedian.

Nothing comes close to Rick and Morty in terms of funniest game.

I've played and owned most of the contenders, and there's really no contest. It's not just the game's callouts, the game's humor goes deep... the whole approach that nothing is sacred, and pinball tropes themselves are open season.

Take the "Pancreas" mode, where it's "shoot the shot, spell the thing, pinball 101 here" according to Rick. Except he wants you to spell "P-I-R-A-T-E-S-O-F-T-H-E-P-A-N-C-R-E-A-S" by shooting ramps. The mode rules are part of the joke; as you fail to make shots quickly enough, Rick bitches, shows pity and lights all the shots.. the timer eventually counts into negative numbers, etc.

In Scary Terry.. replacing standard ballsave quotes with "That's not the way out!" .. or instead of the standard "Time is running out", how about poor Morty's "Hurry the fuck UP!" as he's about to be purged...

Roy's life, with all the ways the mode can end, usually in disaster...

Listen to the lyrics in Schwifty if you haven't yet...

The Meeseeks rule integrates their "helpfulness" from the show perfectly.. multipliers, more multipliers, even bigger 4x multipliers, but use em quickly or they'll divide and kill your score instead. "I just want to die!!!"

The final Meeseeks golf shot, with the famous LOOOOSSSEEEER quote if you fuck it up...

And that's not even getting into the dimensions, which are icing on the cake.

I don't think it would be possible for Stern or JJP to license and manufacture a game as funny as R&M. Not with their current mainstream target audience.

batman 66 in joker mode.

Met For sure

Fo me it is Rob Zombie but I Have Rick and Morty coming this week. So excited.

I was playing Rob Zombie the other day and he said… Is that how you f**k your grandma. I was almost crying I laughed so hard.

#37 2 years ago

Rick and Morty by a mile for me. TBL is of course pretty amazing too. Walter screaming at Larry Sellers will never get old.

#38 2 years ago

You hiding in the ball trough bitch?!?! R&M is worth owning just for the call outs alone, hands down above them all in humor. Now if you take the insults seriously then that's not the games fault.

#39 2 years ago

No pinball I've ever played has made me laugh out loud. I like being insulted, so a game that shouts abuse at you every time you screw up would make me chuckle. I haven't played R&M, but that looks like the funniest pinball to me.

#40 2 years ago

Deadpool and Rick and Morty for me. Those games have really fun callouts.

#41 2 years ago

Family Guy makes me LOL

#42 2 years ago

RAZA (that's the joke)

#43 2 years ago

Black Knight laughing after you fail a magna save is pretty funny, it always breaks the frustration of missing the save and makes me laugh.

#44 2 years ago

Guessing a fair amount haven’t played it, but Gottlieb WipeOut has some pretty funny one liners. “check out the moguls on that snow bunny!” Or “Maybe I should call your mother and have her help you ski”. In an Arnold Schwarzenegger voice.

Quoted from SLAMT1LT:

If you play one..tilt it. You're in for a treat.

On a completely different note/direction than others are going. Class of 1812. That damn chicken bawking music gets me every time.

#46 2 years ago

Funhouse just never gets old. I may not laugh out loud anymore from Rudy but definitely puts a smile on my face when he’s talking.

#47 2 years ago

RZ

“You got an extra ball! Freak!”

#48 2 years ago

Rick and Morty!

IMO, you haven't truly lived until you get a multiball in the "Fart" Dimension!

#49 2 years ago

I believe you mean "humorous". A game being funny is one of my primary determinants for enjoying it. The games I own that I find myself laughing a fair bit include TBL, MM, BM66, and WOZ. All of them have multiple call-outs that get a chuckle out of me every time. My personal favorite is "Oil a little lower" from the Tin Man on WOZ. A game I expected to be funnier than it is would be GB. The movie is hilarious, the game; not so much.

#50 2 years ago

Popeye, the callouts right before multiball starts are priceless
