I was surprised tonight. I went down to Mortmier's to have a beer & play some Transformers. Was surprised to see an AC/DC has been there for a month now! Not the deluxe version with the inner playfield, but hey. Earned a replay(at 33mil) and a match,so I was happy. sadly, one of the lightning bolt decals broke off(probably the cannon) but didn't affect gameplay.

Looks like they are having 3 tournaments in june, $5 buy-in. I'm impressed with their operator. They get the latest & greatest pins in. Right now they have AC/DC, Transformers, Tron, Pirates/Carib,Rolling Stones(broken top Mick), Iron Man & Sopranos.

That's a lot more pinball fun than Cafetto's which has 3 broken machines sitting there a block away, and Rusty Quarters about half a mile from there, which only has 3(working) machines. C'mon Cafetto you have a bleepin' Stargate! Sell your 3 machines to someone who will fix them.

Yes, Uptown Minneapolis has the pins.

We must have walked right past each other, because my buddy and I had the same night. The lightning bolt actually broke during my first game...it was blocking the left outlane for awhile; hopefully it worked its way down.

Last time I was there, over the winter, the pins were filthy and mostly not working. This time, they were all clean and functional. Maybe it has to do with the tournaments. Whatever the reason, it'll keep me coming back. Kudos to the op for getting things up to snuff. The only downside was that none of the pins had audible volume at all, but I suppose that's to be expected.

Wish I was close enough to play ACDC

I was there around 8ish maybe? I forgot exactly when or even if I broke the decal. I just noticed it was on the left side of the pf near the target bank. It was slowly making its way down things.

I'm tempted to hit up the pin tournaments there(in addition to Blainbrook) for some fun. The crowd there is..different. A typical dive bar, with older folks that are drunk saying things like "HEY CHARLIE!@#!@#" at maximum volume.

I never noticed any filth or disarray with the games. Sure, a few things broke here & there, but those are of the games' fault. They look brand new both times I played pins there. The pins at cafetto(BK2K,BoP,Stargate) have caked-on dust. I played Stargate at Midwest Gaming Classic and was disappointed I couldn't play it there. Kudos to Mortimer's operator(who have the cash for the new pins obviously) and boos to Cafetto's.

I swung in to play TF in, say, Jan or so, and the Tron had a layer of black so thick you couldn't read the center inserts. POTC was not that much better. TF was a wreck, too -- a flipper button was broken clean off, Megatron wouldn't lock, the shooter lane was half blocked, etc. The site has definitely seen some love since then, so I hope our conversation gets some people into the place and gives some positive reinforcement. Come back, folks, it's a great location right now.

I was actually there a little later than that last night -- 10-ish. Guess I didn't break it, after all. Forensics for the win. My big surprise of the night was how much I enjoyed Sopranos; of course, that's the one I had the night's big game on, too. Funny how that might skew perceptions.

I was kicking around checking out the tourneys, too. I haven't tried them at BB, either, and I am curious as to what they are like.

It was added May 5th to the locator.

And thanks for doing that, mnpinball. I scoped out the db last night to figure out where to go, and it was your update of AC/DC being there that led me to Mort's.
