Quoted from woody76:Buff with 3m pad and use the paint from lowes that has the charcoal/gas grill on the front of the spray can. There is gloss and flat available in black. Best paint I've ever used and drys in less than 5 minutes. Old trick Mike chestnut taught me, he used it on all his black bolt heads and shooter gun bolts.
I use this method with an additional step. Let dry for 15 to 20 min then buff, Heads will look great. This also works great on coin doors as the raised spakle spots will become glossy leaving the lower portions flat/semi flat.
