just look at the pictures of this dungeon of terror

That is pretty creepy. The alien statue might be cool in other circumstances.

Ad says: "3 early 70s pinball machines, working order, takes 25 cent coins, rare classics
    $8,000 each or all 3 for $20,000"

What's the third game? (Not that it matters at that price)
Pictures are only of Beat the Clock and Jungle Lord.

    #122 9 years ago
    Quoted from movingpictures:

Want a Pinball Machine?! Email me with a price range over 1700$ and i will find you one. Do not contact me unless your serious.

This is awesome. Instead of contacting random strangers listing pins on CL or eBay, contact this random stranger and he'll do it for you! But only if you are serious. What could possibly go wrong?

This one is titled "custom pinball machine"

This guy has been running ads all over the state, and now as far away as Chicago.
No clear pics, no pics with the machine turned on, and he's asking for vehicles in trade.

Maybe if the seller took all the junk off the game BEFORE he started taking pictures...
ebay.com link » Bally Bow And Arrow Arcade Pinball Machine

This sold for $50. That might actually have been a steal for the buyer. Assuming he can dig it out from under all the crap.

    #811 9 years ago
    Quoted from KillerDragon:

Dunno why he would put my name on the ad.

How would he know someone is on Pinside, much less who they are on here? I don't think that has come up when I have bought through CL. Is he just naming random users?

    Quoted from Dan63:

How do you know what a fair price is for any pinball machine? Is there a guide or rule of thumb that you should follow?

First rule of thumb: If it shows up in this thread and we are laughing at it, then it is not a fair price.
You can start a "Price Check" thread for any specific games you run across. Just remember that everyone has their own opinions. What's reasonable for some is not for others. Some sellers are way out in left field though. So they end up here getting laughed at....................

Those big console stereos are cool. My parents have one that has been in their living room since before I can remember.
I would get one if I had another living room to put it in.
Would NOT trade a pin for one though. People seem to basically give those away.

No. $1,850 is too high for a fully working Stern Dracula.

    #8726 3 months ago
    Quoted from PinJim:

This one is close to me too. He is asking $750, so I offered $500. He said $650 is his bottom line. I'm on the fence about it too. I can fix it, no worries there. But will I ever get my money back out of it? I assume I'll drop $200 or so in parts during a rebuild. EMs are a hard sell.....
Yet, I'm itching for something to fix. Anyone near Louisville, KY have a SS machine in need of repair? Ha. I missing doing in depth board work....
    [quoted image]

I would do it. But Golden Arrow is a game that I personally like. Seems like it would be 50/50 on getting your money back if you sell later.
