    Quoted from s1500:

This ad will NEVER die. I'm tempted to give him "10 dollors" and then proceed to stomp on it into a thousand plastic pieces so I never see it on CL again.
    minneapolis.craigslist.org link

    Hahaha...

    2 tips:

    1. When you do a craigslist search, add as many "NOT"s as you can... (minus sign = not)
    2. Use "asterisk" as a way to say (anything ending up to here, remove)

    search:

pinball -193* -194* -195* -196* -"plug in" -etc -etc -etc

Gets rid off all the "grandpa-mode" EM machines from the 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s that I don't care about

    Quoted from RobT:

    I don't.
I hate that crap. It just serves to clutter CL even further with more crap. Do these people really think they are doing some kind of community service or something? Those posts are just as bad, if not worse, than the ad that they are responding to.
    Caveat Emptor.

Disagree. All depends on the post.

I've seen 2-3 really useful ones in the last year that gave useful hints to other prospectors:

"The machines were kept outside in a shed with rats and a leaky roof, do not waste your time looking at these"

As for the ones where people complain about some aspect of the seller's character or their price? I agree those are not always helpful.

'In great shape, but not currently working (has run in the last few years, though). Rather than fix it and move it, I'm going to sell it as I downsize. This cool old machine will provide years of family fun. Lightly used in my house, but logged time in an arcade at one point. The real deal. '

    Priceless.
Some people are incredibly skilled at using a lot of words to say absolutely nothing.

    Quoted from practicalsteve:

$1000 too high. Those are two of the better EM titles for sure but the cab on that capt fantastic looks beat! And I bet the playfields no better. Black knights playfield looks pretty bad too.

    Is it $2000 too high?

    Fully restored ROFL!!

This guy can't decide whether he has to sell or not -- it's an awesome read!

    1. First offer of $3650 will be accepted.
    2. I am not considering offers less than $3200.
    3. If you can meet me in the Cleveland, Ohio area I will accept $3100 non-negotiable lowest price.
    4. Please send offers -- we can negotiate.
    5. I am not in a position where I need to sell this quickly.

#1 will never happen because of #2 an #3. LOL
#3 nullifies #2. (sounds like he's attempting to give a non-shipping price, but it's just not clear)
#4 nullifies #2 and 3, (if by offers he means "below his 3100 rock bottom price")

He could have just gone with, "Asking $3650."

Am I missing something? How can a guy offer 3650, when he tipped his hand that $3100 is just dandy, oh and he'll negotiate...

Before I type, "disagree" - let me ask - what makes you think that?

    2. torque on the joystick

6MDM is one of the top-20 never selling pins on CL imo...

REALLY NICE FH: by really nice, he means badly scratched cab, dinged head, scratched to hell coin door, faded cab, ball trails and dirt everywhere. Ok, now I get it.

But hey, "It's a chance to save $$$!" Oh is it?

How about $2000-2200 for a beater FH? No, you'll only pay a low price of $3600. Yeeeaahhhhhh...

He did this to an Indiana Jones not long ago and I'm sure others I missed. It must be great to have no life other than to post stuff so people can respond and you can laugh, i guess thats what you do?? And I was kidding, you must have no life at all. so sad"
