That Piano Playfield is wide open, for all those complaining about having to make narrow slot shots.

    Quoted from Goyomex:

Sad when Pinside ads (and pricing) for toppers start to look like Ebay. Unreal what some of these flippers are asking for toppers!

I agree that some unscrupulous flippers are taking advantage of their ability to source Toppers and NIB games. It brings me back to my younger days as a poor high school student and then even poorer college student. I wanted to go to the big name concerts of the 70's. (Zepplin, Stones, Who, Dead). I would stand in line at the venue on ticket release day. They would sell out almost immediately, before the majority of the people in line could get a ticket. Then the re-sellers (scalpers) would be selling the tickets for more money than I made in several weeks at a restaurant.

    How about Furries. lol

We get a lot of furries at the local Rennaisance Faire. LOL.

    Quoted from Beatnik-Filmstar:

For what it's worth, the "Star Trek people at a Ren Fair" premise predates Big Bang Theory by a long long time.

So I have been attending Renn Faires for decades. I have been working the MD on for 5 years. You see many different genres of people and costumes. Some are Medieval. Some are Biker/Goth/Punk/Viking/Pirates all at once. Some are furries, but travel in packs. Some are wenches with corsets and boobies hanging out, even though most are way older. Then the Steam Punk era ones are interesting. We also get many Star Wars Storm troopers, mandolorian and Darth Vaders, especially on the last weekend known as the day of Wrong.

Are we really there yet ($5800), for a KISS pin?
    [quoted image]

If that is the HEP restored Kiss, it may have cost that much to restore it.

    #8349 1 year ago

But it is the KISS final tour! That makes them more valuable, right? HEP is doing a great resto on one right now.

Been on CL for 2 months. Missing a speaker and some brown connectors look disconnected going to transformer for a reason. That spells unkown.

Over Paid and Buyers remorse, obviously.

    Quoted from sparky672:

Can anyone explain to me the purpose of listing something for an unreasonably high price, therefore never sell, but still leave the listing up year after year?

There is a Bally Doctor Who on Ebay for sale $9,000 for two years now. I guess they hope someone will fall for it. Would post the picture but am technically challenged.

That's what the 40/50's Jukebox hobby is for.
I know it's just a joke, but imagine replacing replacing SS logic & memory with vacuum tubes... the number required would be so large you'd need to feed it thousands of watts... but just until it sets its own cabinet on fire.

From someone who owned TVs with Tubes, your comment (even though a joke) makes no sense. LOL.
Vacuum tubes were transistors of the day. They did not have memory or even the capacity to store data. Reel to Reel tapes stored data (i.e. Memory). Yes there is a heater element inside the tube, to excite the electrons to jump. I never saw a vacuum tube burn anything down. A shorted frayed cloth covered 120 volt extension cord - yes!!!

    Quoted from sparky672:

Those little b***ards can climb and squeeze through the smallest openings. Right up the legs would be no problem.

They can chew through almost anything if they are looking for food or shelter to squirt out babies. A wooden pinball cabinet would take them like 3 minutes to chew a hole big enough to get inside. A Rat would be even faster.

From the "it only takes one complete idiot" file:

Probably was told by wife to sell it/get rid of it. But has too much money tied up in it. "But Honey, look I put it up for sale and no one is interested in it."
