    Quoted from xTheBlackKnightx:

This seller is a complete liar, or does not know meaning of words.
Home use machines do not use tokens, and they never shipped this way from the factory, EVER.

    Uhm.. what?

All of my arcade (two different arcades) machines, including pinballs, were ordered with .900 token mechs. Shipped from manufacturer like that.

    #2831 7 years ago
    Quoted from xTheBlackKnightx:

    In 1992 from Bally/Williams?
That was not standard practice for the industry at the time.
All were constituted with basic quarter mechanisms shipped NIB.

Yup! We used tokens in both of my arcades (different time periods, one I was at between 1993 and 1995, the other 1996 to 1999) We ordered from our distributor when the game was announced, and games came straight to us, shipped from Midway. No dealer stop in the middle. (I still have, somewhere, a shipping label that has our address and the from address; thought it was a neat momento.) The arcade I was at in 93-95 was also a test location for test games - it's here my early sample TZ came from - and they knew to ship them to us with .900" token mechs.

The rest of your comments I'm not arguing about. (Except that I know many home arcade owners that did convert their games over to tokens.. Especially since they have changer machines..) I was just referring to the ordering process bit.

For the man or lady who has everything... Perfect for the Man Cave
1972 Gottlieb Wedgehead Pinball Machine. Machine looks like it came out of time capsule. One of only 775 made!
    http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?gid=2813
Only one light not working probably needs new socket, all rubber recently replaced.
The back glass is perfect, the playing field barely has a mark, even where the balls get fired out of the infield holes. The outside paint is about as nice
as your going to see for an original painted cabinet. There is a small part on the lower left rear edge where the plywood lamination cracked off, it is smaller
than a cigarette and barely noticeable unless you seek it out, and a few very, very minor chips here and there. The legs aren't even pitted. I have everything
but original lock and key, even the original grease pencil to record high score.
fyi: http://www.pinrescue.com/games/grandslam2011.html this machine is very similar to mine.
mine is 100% original mint condition. Only new parts are rubbers. Am I Asking top dollar ... yes.

This is the Craigslist Laughs thread. And while that price MAY be funny, you have to open a Marketplace ad for the game, if you're going to sell it here on Pinside..

I was considering offering $200 since it didn't look too bad. I have no idea how to fix anything that could be wrong with it but it's the game I had when I was 12.

    Thoughts?

That's Coin-Op Warehouse. A few of us live nearby that can go take a look, if needed. The fact that it didn't sell on their Facebook page, and they put it on CL means that you can probably get away with offering (a lot) less.

Anyone got any ideas on this one?
    chicago.craigslist.org link
Sure, after you humiliate one repair person, someone should come over and diagnose your machine for free. Here is your free diagnosis, it doesn't work.

It's a winner of a game, though! BMX!

I knew what it was too, but Im old.

Growing up, I'd help my grandmother make Thimbleberry Jam, and store them in Ball Jars.

    #4335 6 years ago

That's an older Rowe AMI 1100 mech there, modified for 50 or 60 records instead of the normal 100. Not worth a dime, but neat to have as it's from the factory like that, and not op-modified.

    Quoted from Colsond3:

That disappointing...it was mine. Not hard for me to decipher given that it still has my custom keychain on the coin door in his pic. He said he wanted it for himself. And he's a Pinsider, probably why it's not listed here.

Hrm.. Do you dare mention who it was so we can blacklist him?

Whew. There's no chance that those games, bought individually, would average out at about $2.5k a piece.

Pinballs, for most current games, are actually 1.062 caliber.
