No you wouldn't, because I'd pay $400 all day.

8k is too high for a STTNG.
Quoted from GPS:Hi Guys,
I talked to this fella as he is not far from me. I advised that he might be asking a bit too much for the game and after he did some research, he found that was an accurate statement. He said that this was his fathers machine and that his dad paid $500 for it and would take no less than $1000. Told him that still may be a bit high given the condition of the machine. He said his dad advised that if he cannot double his money he will just keep it. Oh well, I tried.
George...
I have seen games waste away in barns, storage warehouses, and containers by "hoarders" who refuse to part with a game because it is "worth more money". By the time it actually is available for sale, the owner is normally dead, and the machine has turned to ash.
Loss for pinball history. I sense this will occur in this case.
Quoted from Herm:8k is too high for a STTNG.
Yes by about double. I should have used the sarcasm symbol. Lol.
backglass is worth the whole purchase price !
Quoted from blazerchad:I recently picked up a Gottlieb Amazing Spider Man on CL. It was about an Hour and a Half away from my home. Price started at 800 (I had no intention of paying that) I decided before driving to look ask for more detailed images, BG was ok, PF looked ok, it took two days of emailing and texting to teach the seller enough to open the coin door and backbox. After I helped with getting the game opened via text the seller said "maybe I should charge $1000. Of course I said no way for a non-working game of that era. Finally I drive down and look maybe to offer 400. PF has crazing and paint cracking in all the blacks, a transformer on the power supply is gone! The cabinet was covered with a thick yellow substance like smoke damage, but I think it was a bad attempt at clear coat. I wanted to walk away but I already had 40 bucks in gas spent! CL is very difficult. Even HUO can be really messed up! I spent $200 and still feel it was $50-100 to much. HUO beware! Previous owner hacks and bodges!

A reckoning in the PDX pinball community is coming...finally...
It has been a "pinball plague" for the last 2 months.
Reality is not personal prejudice.

Damn, good thing he didn't clean the glass. Maybe 15K then. Better hurry on this deal before he gets the windex out.

Hey, it's always just the fuse!!
Quoted from jmountjoy111:I would buy that Spider-Man all day at $200.
I second that. Even though it's a large System 80 pin, I would buy any Amazing SM all day at that price and just stack them out in my garage. Like ForceFlow said, this game is getting harder to find. Luckily, I have a really nice one already, and just sold my other one that needed a little work to a guy for his first pin. A great first pin to have in my book, even if just to stare at the awesome artwork on it.

George, good effort and worth the attempt. He can certainly keep that pin for $1k.

There is a personal CL "war" going on in PDX right now.
It's "!$@clowns versus jack wagons".
It keeps clogging up real ads.
I cannot possibly go into the history here.
All I can say is the PNW is full of hippy chronic weirdos which sometimes tip the balance.
PDX CL stupidity continues.
It's a "Heavy Metal Meltdown" of insanity.
"Give me your money" (BK2K) is very appropriate for this ad.

Sheesh, I thought people in portland were friendlier than that. Looks like this is the business in question:

He is starting bid on ebay at 7.5k and BIN >11k for a 1954 Daisy May woodrail. Looks nice but is there something I'm missing here or is this woodrail really that desirable?

This is NOT the same person.
The person in the ads is USING various collectors names to attempt to gain credibility.
This keeps getting uglier.
Police are supposedly investigating, but I have no personal knowledge myself, or what they actually could even do.
False identity maybe I suppose, as a misdemeanor.
However, this IS why many collectors have left CL altogether in the area, or use it as a "last resort".
They do not want the same thing happening to them.

Ok, while that's awful, I couldn't help but chuckle a little.
I am not sadistic, but that is funny.
It could be an ad with photos for a lot worse things.
This is just haunting every little kid's dreams...

It was not for "anything". It was a jack wagon word war about chromos. People are flagging these ads as quick as we can now.
This one actually caught my eye and I was curious what they were pricing at around the country, but then I see a credit dot in the last picture. Their always perfect, except for the thing that's broken.
Not sure how I got two post going? Can't seem to find a way to delete it either. I'm not even drinking today. Maybe that's the problem.

Kind of like you were channeling Allen Ginsburg for a second there...
I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness,
starving hysterical naked,
dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking
for an angry fix,
angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly
connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery of night,
I think if you spent more time on those lines it could rival HOWL (for the pinside community at least)!

After almost every party I host my getaway has a credit dot.......why?
Almost no one is able to run the red so the third switch in the lock is never used and sets the dot.
Not saying his issue is that, but the dot isn't a sure thing that something is broken.

Regardless of the credit dot, the clear coat, the new plastics, etc... Getaway is at best $2500. And probably more like $2000. I sold a beautiful one, albeit with cabinet fade for $1800.

Thanks for that info. I wouldn't be to concerned with the credit dot as they usually don't mean anything to critical, but that price seems a bit steep after doing some research on the game and the info shared here by other Pinsider's. Never had a High Speed but I sure would like to someday.

They made an awful lot of them. It's fun but not that fun. I just sold a white water for less than $3800. Its quite a bit better than getaway
This listing keeps popping up. A regular unshopped TAF for $6900. Originally, the seller claimed it was a TAF gold, but it's not.
This TAF pinball is a collectors edition. Has several GOLD features. GOLD CASE , GOLD PROMS. The GOLD case and back are so more desirable than the ugly blue. Was 100% shopped when I bought it from a dealer 17 yrs ago. Has had very light use in my game room since then. Has a couple extras. Playfield in EXCELLENT shape. But is ready to be restored and add some cool features and this WILL make you $ in the future. Kids want to trade for a Bubble hockey? Wont last..... email me an offer. I have a pickup so can deliver and help setup if within 2 hours of Boston.

There's a lot of flippers messing up the market. Honestly the last 4 pins I've bought were from pinsiders.

I had a HUO my friend wanted me to sell on here a year or two ago, and I couldn't get close to 3500 for it. He finally just decided to keep it. It had mods like LED, Back box LED board put on, etc..., less than a 100 plays.
Sorry, I doubt it will sell for close to 5000 or is worth close to that.
