Quoted from stangbat:The pinball lessons ad dates back to almost 8 years ago. Someone just pulled it out again for giggles.

One of the best threads on here! I haven't seen anything from PattyJ in a while.
Quoted from undrdog:No other pictures, so we don’t know if that is for the game or just the backglass. Picture says $2,500, but the auction details want $15,000.
I’ll sell mine for $15,000. No, really.
I've played your Heat Wave. It's not worth a penny over $12,000. Seems like you're just looking for a sucker...

No, but you are welcome to come play it. Always glad to meet new pinball friends. And for good friends like you... $11,750! But please don’t let it get around that I’m a soft touch.

Was that not your Heat Wave that was at BOS pinball lounge? I assumed it was. Maybe it IS worth $15K then...
And yes, would be nice to meet up at some point when this whole Covid thing calms down.

No, that one was Marcus'. I was a member the last year, but don’t remember Heat Wave there. We may have met- I was the guy in tie dye hogging the Mystic.
My Heat Wave was a project that I got from @daditude. The cabinet isn’t pretty and the backglass is in fair condition, but it plays great. But I couldn’t let it go for $12,000. I had an offer of $14,000 last night. Then I woke up.

It didn’t get the $1,000 opening bid. He relisted it, with a new opening bid $950.

Listed and sold are two different things. Some of these prices are a joke.
wow he has come down in price, wait till he figures out that thing is not worth more then a gran

Quoted from mbeardsley:"hey Siri, when should I press the flipper buttons...?"
“I’m sorry, Dave, computers have no flipper fingers so I cannot help you. This conversation can have no further purpose Goodbye.”
I am about to finish fixing up a 1950s Wms machine that I'm told is not a desirable title. Should my ad start at $3,000 or $5,000 ?

At least $7,000. Some guy I was messaging yesterday sold a Bally Skill Roll (nickel game) for $1,950 after 1 day of it being listed.
Quoted from AlexF:$1950 for Skill Roll isn't too bad in this day and age. I paid more to get mine back.
I've never seen one and had no idea how much it was worth. More than I wanted to pay for one. I just looked a video of the gameplay and it does look like fun.

Maybe this meme pricing guide will be helpful:

Saving this one for future use!
You all do realize, that today's humorous prices, in 5 years, may become, what a sweet deal. Someone should look through the first 20 pages of this thread and see if there is an ad that would actually be a deal nowadays.

Now they are just trolling this thread lmao

Was thinking the same thing...
Well, they do use that unique "25 cent currency (quarters)". They probably have special coin mechs for that.
Vintage Coleco Pinball machine....that's funny.
I wonder if the playfield plexiglass will clean up or if it's permanently frosted?
Quoted from goodypin18:Probably has another “I buy pinball” ad to go along with it.

If you are not in that CL advertiser's location but are closer to Reno, I'd be happy to take a TZ for $2,500 as long as you deliver it. It might be a bit greedy of me, but while you are delivering awesome, high demand games for $2,500, I've always wanted a Cirqus Voltaire so please add that to the list. Thanks,

Yep; saw that one and was going to post it. You beat me to it!
Seller says I'm not a pin guy, but this is his fav of all the pins he's had... and he goes on to show he is quite knowledgeable. Not a pin guy but he has this pin with a prototype back glass...
Quoted from GLSP3022:You all know by the end of the year, we're gonna see those Arcade1up AFM virtual cabinets on CL for $7k, right?
never seen one, don’t want one and I hate them already
1up AFM spam is clogging all my searches for a real AFM for sale.
