How about this one that just came across my CL ads? People are nuts.
Capture (resized).PNGhey its only 4000 off its estimated value ....what a deal ......guess he is going to be disappointed and his kids will come home and he won't be able to sell it anyhow
Quoted from JustEverett:This takes the cake.

Looks like they got an extra zero in there as I just saw the listing again at $2490. Still 4x what it should be. There were 4K of those things made. Not rare at all.

Somebody tell him there is a CHAMP for sale in Essexville MI for $1,000
He also reduced the price on a SUPER MARIO BROS from $9500 to $4299 45%
Quoted from dung:Who wants to lay going rate for a total project?

For a Medusa? Might just get it.
Quoted from dddanielll:This guy tried to scam me a couple days ago...Oh also at the beginning of the call he told me he was in Ohio, then later when I asked him where he was he said Florida. Then by the end of the call he was back in Ohio...
Quoted from Apex:When I saw that ad my first thought was that I can get a NIB for that asking price. My second thought was that I am pretty sure that pin is located in the Mexican desert where they buried Hank in Breaking Bad....
Hell I saw a platinum NIB pop up on FB from a guy I know for $7K. I considered buying it just for the deal.
Quoted from Apex:I mean, I have to give them some amount of credit for using the correct version of you're!
Credit where it's due (including my use of your I guess), but the ad is still hilarious to me. 10K by Christmas!
"glass is super clean" is definitely the most important thig to mention first when trying to sell a $7,500 pinball!
Quoted from Apex:I mean, I have to give them some amount of credit for using the correct version of you're!
But deduct an equal amount of credit for using "where" instead of "were". Either the poster didn’t know the correct word, or he loses points on pruufreeding.

bahahaha could be as long as the “arcade” he “owns” is in Tampa County, Florida, Ohio
Quoted from JethroP:seller states "no rush to sell, price firm." I think he's serious!

$5000
Unshopped, broken plastics, scoop & cabinet wear. Claimed to have owned it for 20 years but then gave a different story 2 minutes later. Said if it doesn't sell will give to grandkids, only goes up in value as time goes on yadda-yadda. Could not get off the phone fast enough.
star wars (resized).pngYeah, "pin ball" is always a good clue that a seller doesn't know what the hell they are taking about.

I literally could not politely hang up quick enough. Wanted to leave the door open if he changed his mind and he started monologuing about future value going up and it was a no brain investment... good luck.

Reminded me of a recent conversation I had with a guy wanting to sell me his "Rare" Bally Bow & Arrow. Told me restored it would be worth $5-6K. Went on to tell me it didn't need a restoration, it was an 8 out of 10, only needed a few minute touch ups and I could make a good profit. He wanted only $1,200.
I politely told him thanks for the offer on the "bozo arrow."

Years back, I'd search the local craigslist for "pin ball". Once a year or so, I'd get a hit. I saw some damn good deals this way, even posted them either here or RGP....
