The guy said its a triple action. Oh and the "analog" scoring is impossible to find in the NJ area so these games command a premium. Hahaha.

Just told me there is tons of interest in the game already. I'm yeah, people telling you that you're certifiably insane.

    #605 5 years ago

Haha. His response when I told him his game was grossly overpriced:

Take a look at your car outside.. ford took a Taurus that was 14k and now charges 35K..that got peoples attn. and look what it did for ford.. now that's gross overpricing..

Hahahaha. This is ignorance at its finest.

Buck Rogers with a playfield worn to the wood for $1375

    newjersey.craigslist.org link

Up for sale is a Buck Rogers pinball machine by Gottlieb. This pinball is based on the 1979 movie Buck Rogers in the 25th Century as well as the TV series starring Gil Gerrard and Erin Gray. The machine is in nice working condition as well as it has new rubbers and bulbs. Machine is used and shows signs of wear on the playfield, however there is mylar now protecting it from further wear. Cabinet is in good shape, as well as the backglass is also in nice condition. Check the pictures out or come and see the machine to take it home today.

Wow nice to see they did everything but actually fix the main cosmetic issue to the game. (S)

Sign's of wear? I think it qualifies for actual wear that that point.

    #612 5 years ago

Just put mylar over the raw wood...problem solved.

    #613 5 years ago

Rare pic of the mylar they likely used.

Why is it a "Rare" pinball is always a Flash? They made almost 20k of these! I know I shouldn't be surprised by anything on cl but when did rare=flash?

Talk about wishful thinking. I couldn't even get that for the full game and the playfield was in better shape than that one is.

I'd trust and buy a used / "fully working" playfield from Hank (Hanks pinball tech tips fame) before I'd ever buy anything from that ebay seller. He's "used car salesman" creepy....

    UPDATE:
I just bought this game last night...I already have a flash with a fantastic playfield but a cabinet that is in VERY rough shape...this cab and coin door is in really good shape, and the previous owner sent all the boards out a few months ago for reconditioning (it came with the receipts,he spent $275 on board work and another $100 on parts) it also came with manual, schematics and lots of spare parts
The touch up work on the playfield is a joke but im going to put my playfield and backglass in the new cab with the reconditioned boards and keep a really nice flash.. then im going to put all the leftover parts together to make a playing machine that will be in rough cosmetic shape but be playable and sell it to cover the low price of the machine I bought.
