I thought about contacting this fellow at least half a dozen times but the wording of his ad makes it a crapshoot... either an educated pinball guy or a total windbag who likes to talk the talk
It feels like I see these sort of listings frequently up in the Northwest. And it seems like they are typically from our neighbors in Canada.
I understand the feeling that when you need cash selling a whole lot of machines for one price seems like the best way to go, but I also believe that you limit the potential number of buyers by a huge factor that you end up waiting for that one buyer that may want a huge assortment of machines and has the money, space (!) and resources to take on 8 machines! I wish I was that guy, but wouldn’t it make sense to offer all 8 seperately?
I mean, talk about a huge collection quickly, and probably not priced bad at all, but still, that’s a huge bundle!

I just came here to post this, but you beat me to it. Would it be wrong to send a nicely worded price police email (to help adjust their expectations)? Asking price is about 10x what it should be...that's before taking into consideration the fact that it has the wrong flippers installed, has been painted blue (with red legs). Might have trouble getting 5% of asking!
How are you guys not jumping at this? It sells for $1500!

Ha! I was thinking the same thing. I'd actually consider buying it for 5-600. I wondered if maybe they accidentally added an extra 0 at the end? But I have a feeling that the owner thinks they have something special.

Hey buddy... don’t think you understand what “all original” means.
Only the low price of $375 for this abomination [quoted image]
He also doesn’t know the term “crime against humanity” ok maybe that’s a little strong, but just saying.

I looked at the other pinballs for sale. It’s believable that it just may be all from the same person, because in every picture there’s a bunch of $H!T everywhere. The machines are treated like damn clothes hampers wtf.
More likely this dude just ripped Internet pictures.

Better hurry, this one won’t last.
But it comes with an original game manual.

He said it was "fully restored to tip top shape" when he got it, but now it has wear and tear on the play field and he rates it a 8 out of 10. Sounds like he didn't take care of it. Oh well, what do you expect for $6,000?

So who's going to request pictures, then offer him $600?

MSRP is what? 8900 ??
Nope $8999 (self correction)
Ad states: HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS ON TOUR $4,200.
Obtained from a local collector, this Bally pin is in GREAT condition for being 40 years old! The original playfield on the game shows only minimal wear, as you would come to expect on a game of this age. No cracked plastics. Back glass has one small scratch and has some lifting on the top edge and bottom edges, but isn't noticeable unless pointed out. There is no loss of artwork and the back glass still presents very well and looks AMAZING! All questionable switches and lamp sockets have been replaced and additional spares are included. See pics.
I know this isn’t Craigslist but when I saw this auction price, my jaw dropped. The Playfield needs work from the look at it and it’s already above 7k. I really wish they would remake this game because it’s my holy grail pin but I’m not paying those prices. ebay.com link: 0

Are you kidding me? Who's bidding this up??? That PF is in really sad shape - tons of insert wear and serious planking. Why on earth is this 7K?

Mainly 2 bidders. 1 with 100% feedback, the other with 0%. Sounds fishy to me.
Here's a good one. In french so I'll translate.
"PINBALL PARTS NEEDED (URGENT)!
Wood pinball machine needs parts. For exemple: flippers (x2), red or white battery powered lights (x6, min), flipper buttons (x2). I will negociate with you if you sell. For transport, I'm only available by subway."
What puzzles me the most is how urgent it really is...
