Seen a picture on Facebook from the mb Remake playfield and Wonder if that playfield is a Production playfield. The clearcoat finish didn’t look that nice.

#686 10 months ago
Quoted from 3pinballs:

are you talking about the pic on CGC facebook page? If so, it's still there. What ribbing are you talking about

Yes that is it. Zoom in and find out. For me it looks terrible. I hope that this not production, as my mmrle looks perfect and nothing like that

#691 10 months ago

I sold one of my machines in order to get a Mbrle. But now as I have seen this, I am not sure if I will gamble and take the risk to get a bad playfield...

#696 10 months ago
Quoted from Zablon:

That's just the artwork...
[quoted image]

Zoom in and you will See how bad it looks. Compare this to a Mirco playfield...

Remove it, I think it make no sense there.

The pictures I've seen posted here, seem to show all of the figures being identical..on all versions...see posts 703 & 722.
If you want to see pictures in this thread, go to the TOPIC GALLERY (near the top LHS of this web page) and click on "View topic image gallery".
Robert

If they really look in all versions the same, then this is not normal. The se and le Monsters should look like on their webpage.

Hope they fix that before the games get oversea

Quoted from bigdaddy07:

I feel like the figures on my LE look like to ones on the CGC website, but I'll need to take a closer look when I get home.

Can you post pictures please

#1685 10 months ago

I prefer those, but the one on cgc le site looks ok for me

Did all three versions have the extra screws in the siderails ? Maybe someone can show a picture ?

Thanks

#2814 8 months ago

That Sucks, i had the Same with afmrle. Too Bad that they still Stick over the Corner

#2835 8 months ago
Quoted from PinballCoug:

Mine is cracking too that I hadn't noticed, both sides and I'm only at 100 games played.
[quoted image][quoted image]

I‘ll hope they fix that before the Games Go to Europe. I didnt accept that if that Happens with my mbrle. My afmrle with the same issue was getting more worse over the Time

#2845 8 months ago

I dont think so. The Decals are very thin and Stick over the corner. There is to much tension on it so that they tear.

It will be an easy fix. They Must stopping to Stick it over the corner

Replacing Cabinet Decals is as much worse as replacing the playfield for Customers.

#2849 8 months ago
Quoted from WackyBrakke:

The cabinets are not splitting, it’s a tear because of the wrap around the corner and if they pull too tight when they apply. I agree they should just stop wrapping the corners.

Exactly what i think. So i did Not Unterstand why they still do this, because afmr already had this problem

#2855 8 months ago
Quoted from Mdanielb:

Ugh! Add my #900 to the list!
[quoted image]

Omg, so sorry for you

#2965 8 months ago

On my afmrle it was getting worse over the Time.the Crack wanders to the bottom. I think the only thing that will work is to cut that Part or install new decals.

T

#2968 8 months ago

Here are two other examples to Demonstrante how worse it can Go

3625A2DA-506D-4242-B556-60DF44B8DD7E (resized).jpeg52AE9353-C739-4A6A-874D-9B077CF5E4C6 (resized).png
#2983 8 months ago
Quoted from MrSanRamon:

I considered that when I had my decal issue, but to date haven't done so.
I think that much of the damage "SIRLONZELOT" is seeing could have been mediated by installing mylar in that area.
That area of the cabinet, if the decal becomes separated and somewhat lifted, gets a lot of hands rubbing so any defect gets worse fast.
I put on flipper button "half-moon" shaped plastic protectors and that helped keep my hands away from the edge of the cabinet. I do wish that they extended back a bit more, all the way to the back edge of the cabinet. I may make a bigger set myself, to better protect that edge/interface.
If it's cabinet joint shifting that is causing the crack in the decal, then mylar won't stop the cracking, but I think will better keep the decal split from becoming lifted and then damaged further by hand movement.
If it happens to you new machine, I understand one's frustration.
Robert

As we Seen here it already Happens out of the Box. So there is no mylar needed.

The Solution is really so simple, dont stick around the corners.

If you Look, all other manufacturs did it this way

Quoted from ctozzi:

#795 finally showed up today and again I’m blown away with the overall craftsmanship Chicago Gaming has put into this game. I’ve had 2 very nice MB in the past and this is a very high quality game. All the extras they added to the LE is to me worth it after playing it. 5 or so yrs ago I would have said these remakes will be a joke, well I have all 3 and they are clearly not. Anyways I’m happy.[quoted image]

Great Collection, mbr Looks Dark compared to the Others. I think i will Add some spotlights to Mine when it arrives

#3026 8 months ago
Quoted from cheshirefilms:

Ok, so let me show my SE with a November build date. It does NOT appear my right decal has been pulled over the corner. Nor the left decal over the other. Seems to end slightly before the edge on both sides. Zero apparent decal damage, beautiful install.
Btw- the other MBr examples with the slight decal damage that I've seen here on Pinside- they don't look like the decals final "resting spot" has been "extremely" pulled over the corners either- unlike that AfM on the previous page. Just slight overpulls to the upper corners where the side rails meet the decal.
Either way, its not as though the corners on any of the games I've seen- as such- should play much more of a part in pulling these decals apart further through natural wood shifting and the like.
[quoted image][quoted image]

Perfect, Good to See that they Correct it

Now my le can come

#3028 8 months ago

Great, thank you !

#3033 8 months ago
Quoted from Mdanielb:

Agreed! They were doing the AFM decals the opposite .... pulling the side decal around the corner onto the front, then placing the front decal over the top of that, and ending at the corner. So, the overlapped decals on AFM were on the front panel of the cabinet, rather than the side, as is MB. Here is a pic of my MB with the crack, and decaled the exact same way as the SE pictured. The fit and finish is beautiful! I don't know why this cracked like that.[quoted image]

On the le picture i can See the overlapping, on the se picture Not

So i Cross Fingers they change it

#3035 8 months ago
Quoted from cheshirefilms:

On my SE, the front decal folds over the right corner, and under the right decal- which ends AT the corner
The AFMrLE front decal appears folded over the right corner, under the right decal,
Then the right decal is folded over the right corner almost an inch "in" to the front

ok, i hoped they have cut it Both sides, like the Original ones

#3039 8 months ago
Quoted from Mdanielb:

The original MB cabinet seam was exactly at the corner. There was no overlapping of decals - the seam between the decals was at the corner, as was the seam in the wood. These new cabinets have the wood seam offset from the corner, about a quarter of an inch back, on the sides. Thus, the cracks in the decals forming exactly in that spot on some games, and the overlapping of decals, etc ...

That’s what I mean

#3074 8 months ago

Has anyone try to cut the corners? I think it will look better then the cracks.

#3198 8 months ago
Quoted from whitey:

Here’s my dads AFMLE , wasn’t like this new. Been in the same spot since unboxing a year ago ???
[quoted image][quoted image]

The first picture looks like that the cabinet split. So there is maybe an other bracket needed. A friend of mine did that with his afmrle, after he knows that mine cracks, and he has now for over one year no cracks on his afmrle.

#3291 8 months ago
Quoted from CGC-Ryan:

I want to address the reports of cracks in the decals on the upper front corners of the Monster Bash cabinet.
As of today, this issue has occurrenced in less than 1% of all MBr games shipped. We had seen a similar issue on AFM and changed the way we wrap the decals. It seemed the issue was resolved until we started shipping in colder weather.
We have been proudly building cabinets since 1977 for nearly every pinball manufacturer and take great pride in what we build. Every game goes through multiple levels of quality control to ensure that the game going into the box is of the highest standards. We understand what the pinball community demands from a NIB game.
I want to let everybody know that this is only a decal issue and not an issue with the cabinet construction. We have built hundreds of thousands of cabinets utilizing the same corner joints and have had remarkably few issues.
In an effort to stop all cracking on the decals, we will no longer wrap the decals around the corner. We feel that this should decrease the overall risk of potential decal splitting.

Great Any info when European games will be shipped ?

#3380 8 months ago
Quoted from aztarac:

Holy shit - $450!? Pretty high estimate - must have gold flecks. I've had games (legs, rails, lockdown bar, bolts, hinges) done for $150-$200 depending on color and finish.

Price is too high, maybe with hardware. But only powdercoat job with color is not more then 200$

Good news with the Non matching LE rolling out in USA. Does anyone know when production / shipping starts on the European models. I am in UK and can't wait for my first NIB machine!!

Still no words on European customers, but I can wait as long as I get a cabinet without wrapped decals.

Each new cgc remake has been better then the previous one/ones, they got their work cut out for them for number 4..they seem to be getting better as they grow. IMO

Completely agree, mbr is the best remake. I also like the other 2. but everything is nice on mbr. Topper, lightshow, gameplay, Sound is crystal clear. They did a fantastic job on the xxl dmd. I really like it and i am surprised how good the build quality is.

#5643 4 months ago
Quoted from mummite:

How are people feeling with the lighting? Is it to dark? I have pin stadiums on my GOTG and IM, but feel that adding these to MBR will loose the new lighting effects. I am going to add the flipper LED strip for sure.

It’s dark, I add some spotlights and now it’s ok and you still have the lightning effects
