Were they wrapping the corners with the side art on these? Hope not!

Edit. I just researched this, and see that yes they were and some were cracking a bit.

Has anyone else experienced a lot of rejects on the Brides ramp? Mine with a good flip will loop behind the Bride, and stop at the apex of the wire ramp, and roll back down. Everything seems to be adjusted right back there. Frustrating.

Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

Something is definitely wrong there - I echo the suggestion to increase the pitch. Mine is at 7.2 which might be a good starting point

Pitch increased to 7 degrees all good now thanks guys. Everything works great now, and I'm loving the Phantom Flip now that the game seems to have dialled it in! One small issue though. The domed lamp on top of the Creature Feature mode lamp board never lights. Is this GI for Frank? There doesn't seem to be a flasher test associated with it so I'm assuming GI. Anyway I checked wiring and connections still no joy. What should the voltage be at this socket?

Well looky here! I've bent one or two of these myself over the years no biggie! Frankie is well lit again

Quoted from Bublehead:

Not to be dick-picky, but do they ship with some kind of crome looking or metal leg bracket? I thought they came with pc’d blue metalic legs, but that pic looks like chrome legs... or do you like chrome legs? Just asking not bashing

That's the metal cab corner protector. The leg isn't on in that pic.

Quoted from Bublehead:

Thanks shock_me, I had heard they were metal, but didnt know they were shiny like a chrome leg.

Yeah they're a great insurance policy that I'm glad most companies are using on new games these days. Plus now that new games come with the leg bolts installed in the cabinet I can see how it could be confusing in the pic

Quoted from Shapeshifter:

Stern have now switched to plastic for obvious reasons.

Cheaper?

#3917 5 years ago
Quoted from whitey:

My experience restoring games and using the cab protectors are great. I prefer the metal because when you tighten them they don’t crack .
Now Go play Pinball !!!

Yes I agree with this. We were just commenting that Stern likely switched to the plastic versions because of cost. They still work well though and I haven't cracked one yet. When I restore games I always install the metal versions and I'll never have to worry about wrinkled side art again

Will the mirror blades made for Williams games fit the remakes?

#4287 5 years ago
Quoted from ChiroCop:

I changed it from Default to Max...but nothing changed as far as eject strength.

Same here and mine just trickles out. Maybe the original does this too?

Quoted from Concretehardt:

Yep mine did this for the first 20 plus games, I opened a ticket and CGC tech told me the Phantom flip takes time to learn and I should play it more. After about 20 games it started working perfectly.

Same here with the Phantom Flip at first. Now it works as designed, and I'm pretty happy with it. It actually makes needed shots a large percentage of the time.

Does anyone know which shaker is compatible with the Remakes? I have an SE.

Quoted from twinmice:

Ya, checked that, not working.

There is a circuit board under the playfield where a bunch of the feature lights plug into. It has a socketed IC chip installed. Check that chip to make sure all the legs are straight and inserted into its respective socket hole. Mine was bent and not seated in the socket properly, and my Frankie spot light never lit at all. I straightened the chip leg very carefully, re-seated the chip and bingo.

Quoted from Edster:

is Phantom flip working properly on the remake?

It didn't work consistently at first, but I read here that the game has to "learn" for a while, and it eventually did after a bunch of plays. Now that sucker hits required shots very consistently for me
