I'm kickin' around the idea of joining the remake club. Can anyone say if there have been many changes since the original MMR as far as circuits? still using a beagleboard?

Quoted from ShinyBall:I worry that the "fix" could be worse then the split.
If I got a cab decal set I'd be happy.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:I can't imagine FT or BSD without lightning flippers - way too easy.
I love the lightning! Got an extra pair ready to go in.
Quoted from Reznnate:Out of curiosity, what are you guys expecting CGC to do about cracked decals?
I'm cool with an extra set of decals.. For those that don't work on games I'm sure that's very underwhelming.
I don't see how it would be cheaper.. If they ever sell the topper or whatever LE parts it will probably be expensive enough to convince people to buy LE. Sort of how the $400 color upgrade convinced me to go SE.
Mine had a door key taped in the coin reject and another with the manual.. Backbox was like ltg says
Quoted from LTG:I'm curious what plug you are talking about ? Since Monster Bash has a virtual knocker, and not a mechanical one.

Quoted from LTG:I believe that would be in the Williams software, and since the original didn't have it. I doubt they could add it.

Go get it CGC!
Quoted from bigd1979:I was gonna say i had a real knocker in my mb
Any idea if the coil test let you fire it? The version in mbr skips over the knocker coil.
I turned off knocker sound but didn't see the coil appear in test.. Will poke around more tonight. If anyone gets it going please let me know. I even got the spooky brand coil which seemed appropriate.
Quoted from TheLaw:I thought we were finally over this real knocker craze?
Fake knockers might do it for some guys...
Drac slams his guitar on replay.. You want some good time rock and roll plastic banana knock or a real knock that makes people in the room jump?
I don't have much hands on with an original mb, but my whitewater project was built in an old monster bash cabinet. I can say the mbr and likely all the remake cabinets are way nicer than originals. Real plywood on the bottom, instead of particle board, a much nicer finish to the inside. CGC puts a solid package together. Small touches make me smile, like the color cards with rules and game credits in the apron which a home collector would add to their game instead of whatever lame black and white crap you usually get.
Quoted from cscmtp:Anyone getting frequent bounce outs of the extra ball hole part of the playfield?? Is there a solution for this?
Bump flipper power down a couple notches. Default seems pretty strong.
I feel ya, I just didn't like the look of cgc in there... They need a stylized font or something.. Too blah for my taste.
Quoted from pghpinfan:Does AFMr LE work the same way? Should I make that adjustment on that machine too? Thanks
Yeah, no need to power save with leds
Anyone done up some coin reject art for MB as seen here?

Quoted from Higloss67:I did adjust the left side switch on the MBR but still have the intermittent problem.
Man I love intermittent problems
Quoted from delt31:dumb question but does Franks ramp get used for more than starting and restarting frank MB? I love that shot so hopefully yes?
It opens up during mosh put multiball
Quoted from Greenandwhite:I apologize if this has been asked before but if there are 1,250 LE’s being made how long would you guesstimate someone has to buy one NIB? Are they likely to sell out of that edition this year?
AFAIK CGC is sold out, but i'll bet there's a few distros with one in stock.
Quoted from Diospinball:2nd question... Why no real knocker. I have a fake knocker... Did the original game not have a real knocker? Pretty sure it did.
And if it did... I thought these were supposed to be built from the real specs nothing left out.
So where the hell is my knocker????????
As far as I can tell there's a software hurdle to adding a knocker. Please complain to cgc and hopefully they enable it in a future update.
Quoted from LTG:That would have to be in the Williams stuff, not the CGC stuff. So I don't think they can play in that sandbox.
LTG : )
Sorry, That's incorrect... Even by your own words.

I just got rock before bash the first time.. you get 50Mil just for starting monsters of rock on top of everything else in that scenario.
Bonus feature in the update: If you plug in a real knocker it works.
"Increased volume of knocker sound through speakers."
Much louder if you rig up a real knocker!
Quoted from Pablouk:Hi all did anyone get any response from CGC for the decal splits? Just received mine 1089 LE and it has the split decal just wondering if its worth raising a ticket?
Put in the ticket.
I had a scratch on my decals. they sent me a new set, twice. Poorly packaged and damaged in the mail.
Quoted from zpinman370:Maybe a silly question but is the new code worth the time to upgrade?
Also; you can drive a real knocker with the update.
Quoted from LTG:This kit has everything - https://www.pinballlife.com/knocker-kit-for-spooky-pinball.html
LTG : )
Don't forget to clip the diode on that spooky coil.
Quoted from LTG:I edited a better solution.
Thank you.
LTG : )
But.. The spooky kit has a compatible wire harness and cool ghost on the coil; fits the theme!
Quoted from SaltyRunBack:I have an LE on the way and I really like the attached classic Williams logo instead of the CGC logo. Where can I find one of these? Thanks
[quoted image]
Looks like the one I made. shoot me a PM if the website is down.
Quoted from 2manyhobbies:Yeah all pinball machines suck for warranty in my opinion. You can buy almost anything else for thousands and get a solid warranty with in home support. Hell I can spend $300 on a dishwasher and have a service tech come out and repair it. But pinball totally different. If you are not handy you are screwed. I am handy and is why I put up with it but does suck across the board. And yes they just told you any quirks known on Williams will be there on their machine, we just copied it and sold it do not complain about it.
Compared to any home appliance over a few c-notes their support is horrific.. but the production numbers are tiny, AND it's still assembled here in the USA. If the women don't find you handsome, they can at least find you handy!
