Quoted from delt31:

The machine will hold its value.....eventually. If you end up selling it a year or 2, you will likely lose but after 4-5, I see this and AFMLE going up.

Doubtful on either. Certainly will do better than most Stern LE's due to price.

#976 5 years ago
Quoted from Budman:

Is this a title I sell my AFMrLE to acquire?

That's exactly what i did. Time to try something else. Like this theme better.

Quoted from Indusguys:

I will not be going with a PF protector, dimpling is natural, get used to it.

A PF protector is a terrible waste of money and time

Pinball is meant to be played on a natural wood surface

You will never play your HUO pin enough to ever make a difference

And if you do, send it out to get re cleared better than new

Quoted from jbug:

I've had one previous Stern machine NIB. This is new to me that you may have to roll the dice regarding the condition of the cabinet and playfield on a new shiny machine. Well, at least he could let them know about the spots on the playfield. He could at least let them know how upset he is/was. Even if they tell him to "pound salt" at least he could ventilate. That playfield should not have been sent out. Someone should be looking them over better than they are. I've had manufacturers (TVs) try to tell me there is nothing they can do but I stood toe to toe and eventually got what I deserved by law. There are laws governing the purchase of new items?

Why? You need to pull out a microscope to see them

The dimples will soon distort them

Good lord. If people can’t handle a few minor imperfections then this is NOT the hobby for you

Furthermore, they don’t have to do damn thing. Substantial compliance here

Quoted from Bublehead:

I have been contemplating buying a AFMrLE from PPS (supposedly they had at least one yesterday) and seeing if I could get my MBrLE moved up to a matching status, getting it matched to the AFMrLE which is sitting NIB at PPS. Now that is how bad I have been wanting my MBrLE.

Put the pipe down Bubblehead.

I am LMAO right now though.

Quoted from DJNOEL30:

Will have the non-matching LE #431 at the house between 2-5 tomorrow.

same here, via fed ex delivery. congrats!

Quoted from YZRider926:

You may be right, I really don’t know, and I’m not a lawyer. I have always called and let the company know when I receive stuff I haven’t paid for. Sometimes they tell me to keep it other times to ship it back. I subscribe to the idea that just because someone screwed up and you received something you shouldn’t have doesn’t make it yours.

No way should anybody have tried to keep the game that was mistakenly delivered. "Unjust enrichment" for one thing. A simple mistake. A "gift", lol, no way.

The guy 100% did the right thing.

Quoted from Bublehead:

In the USA, there is this:
https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0181-unordered-merchandise
But the honest thing to do and the legal thing to do is not always the same thing. I would have called my distributor and I would have asked him what he wanted me to do. Somebody is out some $$$ sending it back, so why not try and get them to offer it to me at a discount? If I really wanted AFMrLE, which I do, they are going to have at least triple shipping costs getting it back and shipping it to the rightful owner. At this point, even doing the honest thing is costing them $$$ so why not let CGC and my distributor make the call? It was their mistake, I am going to inform them and do what they want, not just keep it. But you can not fault a person for asking for a discount, that is just unAmerican.

That FTC rule doesn't apply here. It is primarily meant to address these scammers that send you product, like the old record/music scams and then expect you to pay for it.

I promise you i could get that pin back from the person that it was mistakenly delivered to under various theories of law mentioned above. I can't get you to pay for it, but i can get it back.

Wow. This pin is a SEXY BEAST! And a blast to play.

Phenomenal job CGC. Holy cow.

Quoted from cscmtp:

MBrLE #458 is setup and absolutely gorgeous. And while kids are playing it and I haven't gone over every single inch of her, so far it appears to have ZERO issues. Only complaint is that the playfield does seem a little dark, but I'm also probably spoiled to my AFMrLE #458 which has pinstadium lights and that really does make a huge difference. I think they are crazy overpriced but might buy it for MB because it is that noticeably dark compared to AFM.
[quoted image]

I'm gonna say don't F up the beauty of our LE with pinstadium lighting. Maybe a trough light? But no way, don't do it on this pin!

#3725 5 years ago
Quoted from GCS2000:

I feel that MB needs extra lighting. Maybe go with poor man's pinstadiums (see the thread) but some additional ambient lighting inside this game I think would be great. I wholeheartedly agree with the trough light too which is why I already ordered one even though I am still waiting on my game.

Having just set mine up yesterday, you don't need it and it would destroy the natural awesome light show. A few little upgrades per Lermods is right on i think.

#3739 5 years ago
Quoted from cscmtp:

But man it looks GORGEOUS on my AFM. Do you feel the same way about pinstadium on AFM??

I sold my AFMrLE which I regret a bit

The MBr light show and colors though I feel just need a few tweaks.

The lighting in different areas and toys, especially the 3D look of the back of the PF, not sure if pinstadium would wash out too much of the contrast?

#3740 5 years ago

Btw. My pin was non matching so the rest should be right behind

Quoted from vwallat99:

Fired my game up today for the first time and played really great out of the box. Needed some slight preference type adjusting but other then that very impressed. First game I got the Monster Bash feature and then after that I couldn't do it again. Love this fuckin game.

It's the F ing total package.

My LE has been solid as a rock, its F ing gorgeous.

CGC just crushed it with MBr. The back of the PF 3D artwork and lighting just blows me away.

Every aspect of it is FUN.

"Shallow" code is great when it all ties together like a cool Monsters Rock band.

What else would you expect with Lyman Sheets?

#3840 5 years ago
Quoted from shock_me:

Has anyone else experienced a lot of rejects on the Brides ramp? Mine with a good flip will loop behind the Bride, and stop at the apex of the wire ramp, and roll back down. Everything seems to be adjusted right back there. Frustrating.

I would suggest increasing the pitch.
