I ordered mine through Planetary Pinball. I didn't want to relive the two year wait when I ordered my MMR through another distro. That was my first NIB but it was also a game I thought I could never own so I paid in full early on. Having over $7k tied up for over a year (due to delays) was not fun.

I wasn't originally planning to buy an MBR because I didn't have room nor $ but had a Christmas miracle which put me in the position to get one. I didn't care about number matching so I ordered a "normal" LE and hoped that would speed up my delivery. I'm hearing that number matched games continue to be built through February. Even if I get mine in March it would be an improvement over my MMR schedule

I know MMR was built in Stern's factory so much of the scheduling was out of CGC's control. I didn't follow AFMR scheduling because I wasn't interested in that game but was hopeful that in house assembly at CGC would be faster and more predictable. Sounds like they're still figuring that out.

Anywho, I'm not happy that I won't see the game this month but I am happy that it looks to be only a one to two month delay with only the deposit in play. Compared to 2 years, I can live with that.

Quoted from zpinman370:

I hear what you guys are saying and will limit the amount I play it for the next month as hard as that is because it is a fantastic game. What really concerns me is how my balls got so damaged in such short amount of plays? (no pun intended before you all go there lol) The dimples are one thing but having scored up balls especially when they are not just the run of the mill but the good chrome balls is concerning.

It might be the scoop. The front edge is pretty sharp and balls hitting it are usually full speed from the flipper. I put some grommet edging on mine. I thought I had a pic of it installed on the scoop. I'll post it if people are interested. I don't even notice it on the scoop and I feel better knowing the ball won't get chopped up.

I feel for Bublehead and everyone else who are still awaiting their game. Having been one of the MMR people who was paid in full for over two years, I know how that feels. I was happy to wait for ~3 months to get my MBR. I missed the number matching gig and jumped in during the playfield quality and decal wrapping issues so the delay was reasonable to me. Ironically, my game was built after the decals were supposed to be cut back but I still had a wrapped machine. It had not cracked and I prefer wrapped anyway so no complaints there (we'll see how it holds up).

I chose to go through Sara and PPS this time because I figured they would have the largest allotment and a little more pull with CGC since they are also the license holder. It wasn't all roses as my topper was fragged in shipping and I had a few minor issues but PPS and CGC were on it and made things right. Hint: if your CGC ticket is going dormant, call them. Like anything, the squeaky wheel gets the grease

The game is beautiful! I made flipper and level adjustments as referenced in this forum and it plays nice. Now I just need TIME TO PLAY IT! My four year old has more mileage on it than I do.

Hang in there guys!
