Quoted from ShinyBall:

So, what leg protectors (if any) are you planning to install on your new machine?

If it's like MMR was it had interior metal protectors, so I didn't feel the need.

Quoted from Cyrus:

I didn’t on my AFM SE because I didn’t think it needed it, but there are multiple schools of thought on sound and sound quality. It just was not something that was of interest to me.

I have a bunch of Polk subwoofers, so I thought it might add to the bass assuming I could just add the alligator clips similar to my Stern games.

I think leg protectors may be solution looking for a problem. If you keep yer leg bolts tight, I dont see a need for them, but then I keep my leg bolts tight and dont take the legs on and off. If yer routing machines and the legs are going on and off all the time, get some felt cut to shape and poke a few holes in it... cheap as it gets and what I would use. But my home machines are player machines... the cabinets have war woulds and trench foot (rusted) levelers. No need to keep my cabinets “pristine”. The new MBrLE however, my first real NIB purchase, may get the full treatment as an investment protection measure... then again, it might come with them... right CGC? And cliffies, and... and... (Well I can dream can’t I?)

Put my order in with Planetary Pinball, can’t Way!

CGC ships them with metal leg protectors installed into the cab. Taking the legs on and off does no damage.

None. They are not needed. I bought some for my AFMR LE and discovered it had metal stand off plates that kept the legs from contacting the cabinet art work

kozmckpinball, awesome info, good to know! Do they come with a scoop protector or do I need to order a Cliffy?

Thanks to all, that was exactly what I needed to know.

Comes with a protector although the protectors at Expo took a beating. CGC assured me they would look at the problem and make sure the protectors would hold up before they start shipping.

If they were smart they would call Cliff and have him make the protectors....

Mb sld have a mantis and cliffy style protector used at the same time as the scoop takes a beating. Just a cliffy gets bent quickly but with mantis and cliffy its very solid

Makes sense...my point was Cliff's protectors are typically much better than the manufacturers can make themselves .... a prime example of this was the protectors JJP made for my DILE....they were crap so I swapped with Cliffy's....

You aren't kidding. Every one was really bent/dinged up pretty bad. I'm guessing they will come up with a better product before they ship.... hopefully.

That is why they were glad to have the games at Expo. Then back to the factory for forensic analysis.

They will address the issues before shipping starts.

We were aware of the issue with the hole protector before Pinball Expo and were already working on a solution to make it stronger. Fortunately, the issue has been resolved. We spot welded in an additional .036” stainless steel liner to the existing part.

The part is secured without tape. As the screws are tightened, the rubber grommets expand to clamp the part into place. The modified parts have been tested and have shown no signs of distortion.

That’s great news!!! Thank you for the update.

I wish I had known this. I just ordered the Cliffy as well as the Mantis protectors for my MbrLE

#319 1 year ago

Thank you Doug. That’s great to see and hear about.

"Plug n Play" all the way.

I would keep them just in case...who knows the Cliffy/Mantis solution might be better in the long run?

Quoted from indypinhead:

I bought the Mantis and Cliffy also... but, I like this new revised factory setup better. the Mantis requires that you put 4 screws in/under your new Playfield. and those holes will need to be under the huge main, one piece electronic board. which would require you to remove/shift the electrical board first. pre-drill pilot holes first. then screw in 4 screws...which would probably void your 24 months warranty on your MBr LE.

I will sit on my Mantis and Cliffy and will inspect the wear in 24 months.

Ok, been playing a ton of MB on PA just to get my chops up... Wife says, “you will be bored silly” if I don’t stop before it gets here in December (fingers, toes, eyes, dresser, all crossed....) I say bring it on, because even though I have done everything but Lymans Lament and Sweet 6 on a real MB, nothing will be as sweet as having a REAL MB in my front room, one to play on for hours on end... till I get that stupid lament... and the sweet 6.

Got my order in for a SE

I'd be hyped too to have this for the upcoming holidays. By the way, what is the thinking on shipping SE models before the LE?

150 SE’s first...too work the bug’s out for the 1250 LE’s, so they arrive...Cherry!

#331 1 year ago

To give the Toppers time to arrive is my guess... biggest lead time piece of the puzzle... and of course what pinzzz said...

#332 1 year ago

We’ve got a lot of extra guests coming for Thanksgiving this year. I’d love to have MB in the lineup, especially for the kids, but it’s unlikely the LEs will ship in time. I should really piece together a mini tournament. Having never participated in one before, much less orchestrated one, anyone have any pointers to templates for a very casual and friendly event?

They did the same thing with the AFMR LE's; good move for LE buyers but sorry for you SE guys. I'm sure you will be fine though because CGC makes great pins.

#334 1 year ago

So far it’s about 4 to 1 LE’s to CE’s & SE’s.

I think I already posted but if not, mark me down for an LE. They need to hurry up and get these SEs done already

Amen. Hurry up and get my SE here!

#338 1 year ago

Number matched LE here, hopeful for before Christmas! dare I say maybe sooner?

#339 1 year ago

So has anyone found a distrib that will lower price if you pay without a credit card (wire, paypal friends and family, or check) Trying to find the best deal I can get just curious if anyone is beating $8300 shipped for LE for example...

#340 1 year ago

If anyone is still looking for 1. We have 1 LE left.

#341 1 year ago

How many LE versions do the distributors get? Is it variable based on how many they sold of MMr or AFMr, or does each get a fixed number to sell? Is the "sold out" for the entire run of LEs, or are there different batches that are going to get made so they become available again as a new batch starts production?

I've already got my order in and downpayment made on an LE, but just curious. Last time around I got an AFMr SE and got one of the first batch made, but this time going with the LE I have a feeling I'm going to get very anxious about arrival dates once we start seeing the SEs get into people's hands!

#342 1 year ago

Any advice from any of you guy's on who to order from?

#343 1 year ago
Quoted from ShinyBall:

Someone mentioned that steel leg protectors are built into the cabinet from the factory.

They surely will as both MMr and AFMr do. CGC builds a VERY nice machine.

Wow, if each distributor got around 40, that is a good chunk of the 1250 for the 1st run...ain't it?

#348 1 year ago

Judging by the number of unique distributors on the Chicago Gaming website for Monster Bash Remake (43), I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t going to be another batch and that “sold out” means “sold out”. If distributors got between 30-50 allocated to them, there are more than enough distributors to fill the entire 1250 total production.

Wow. Glad I got my order in right away, just in case!

#349 1 year ago

I think their allocation is just a 1 time thing. I bet all 1250 are sold out! The “runs” were just how those 1000(AFM) were built and shipped.

#350 1 year ago
Quoted from WackyBrakke:

AFMR's were allocated.
