I got lucky and my MBr LE 128 is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I have MMr #128 but whoever had AFMr 128 must not have purchased MBr or requested a matching number, otherwise they would have had priority. Fingers crossed it arrives unscathed!
Quoted from brucipher:Matching number 985. Order through Automated.
I ordered mine through automated too. Matching number in the 100’s for both MMr and AFMr. I got on the preorder list a year ago (not even knowing what it would be). So clearly there is no priority to distributor, or what number you are, or when you pre-ordered. I do believe they are doing matching LEs first, but apparently in any order.
Has anyone thought the build order might be in the order of verification of matching numbers? So those who where in first with their serial number info went straight to the build order list?
My 24 hr review of MBRLE. The game shoots smooth and is fun(most important), and of course is probably one of the best looking pins I've ever seen. The light show is a huge improvement over the original, in fact I couldn't imaging having an original after owning this game. The color changing GI just sets the perfect tone for each monster when their modes start. I'm putting to rest any thoughts (for now) that its going to be too easy. I put at least 20+ games on it and never even got monster bash going, let alone monsters of rock. The creature shot is the major hurdle for me as missed shots are often times punished with center drains. I have the game setup to 7.2 pitch and the outlanes at factory, which is in the center. No ball saves or extra balls above factory settings. I could chalk this up to fatigue as I'm playing after two long long work days, but as of right now, my ball times have been short and I'm feeling very compelled to hit start again.
Now for the bad. The audio blows. I like to have my games turned up and at full power 31, its just sounds like I have cotton stuffed in my ears. Such a huge difference from AFMLE. This really seems like something CGC can address with a software update. The audio feels held back. Its not like the speakers are crackling or the AMP is overwhelmed. Its like the audio output has been limited somehow. I'm curious on what others think regarding this?

The audio is really lacking on my CE also. I had it turned up to 24 and the sound was drowned out by MMR and an original AFM next to it. I'm going to stop in and see if I can tweak the settings a bit. I didn't spend much time with it so maybe it was just sounded worse because it was so loud in the gameroom.
Game 985 in the house! Had time to bring in, quickly set it up, and play a couple games... But sadly had to come in to work. Nice that a long weekend is ahead.
Couple quick thoughts: the game, lighting, and dmd are gorgeous. Something about it felt extra smooth to shoot. Flipper power felt way too strong (which I know can be adjusted). Ball was flying off the right ramp. Didn't get a chance to put the topper on... Always a tight fit in my basement... So we'll see if it fits.
Can't wait to dig in this weekend!

No...just the random game number I got when I bought my MMrLE.
Thanks! Counting down the hours here at work...
Quoted from ShinyBall:what is the fascination with purple? I must be missing something...
They are color changing LEDs.... It just so happens it was on when I took the picture. Is that what you are talking about?
Quoted from MrSanRamon:Anyone know what this black bumper is for? It was in the package with the rest of the stuff.

Loving my SE. Only problem is ball flies off the right ramp in multiple spots. Trying to look for easy fixes but from what I’m reading I’m not the only one having this issue.

Yeah - only a couple plays on my machine earlier and this was happening to me (even at -2 flipper power). At -2, the flippers still felt really strong. I am going to try and crank down the flipper power and see if that does the trick.

Curious on the fix as my original does this.
Do a slow mo video - mine seems to hit the other ramp entrance and then it takes off into pop bumper area.
Quoted from Daditude:Is the remake as good as the original? Better?
Why?
People either love it or they hate it, or they think it's ok.
Anyone having issues with the balls getting stuck on the drain hole protector? I've got the game set at 6 1/2 degrees and it's happening Non-Stop. I stuck a piece of mylar on the lip to smooth it which did it help.

Super happy with the Classic.
Honestly feels like a steal at 6k.
So many interactive toys on this pin !
How do you like the Classic? I am a old school hobbyist who wants to play the game like I played it in the arcade back in the day.

Pretty sure they all play the same. The only differences are asthetics.
The only issue I have found so far with my game is that the LHS side art graphic overlaps the front graphic a bit.
So when I put my hand on the LHS flipper button, I can feel the seam (the edge of the side art) which is starting to lift a bit.
Not sure what to do right now, I only have a couple of games on it, but in the longer run (100 games or so) the side graphic will start to peel and be an actual issue for me.

The Classic is as close to the to game like you played in the arcade back in the (your) day as is possible.

I have three different spots on my ramp where the ball flies out. I’m at a perfect pitch and even light shots are being affected. Going to open a ticket with CG and see what they say. Batman66 had a big problem with ball flying off of the curve on the left ramp. Stern quickly sent out a fix. Hope CG has some suggestions because this is messed up.
Anyone else having trouble with the scoop ejecting the ball straight down the middle? I checked to see if it was loose and it is not. Any ideas? It's annoying to have this happen about 10% of the time.

Can you change the scoop kicker strength in the CGC menus? I figure that is first thing I would try before physically manhandling the scoop.

I have no idea where you are getting this from. I haven't heard one person say they think the original is better than the remake. And I have read a lot of comments. No one has even said it's ok. Everyone has said it is an improvement in every way to the original honestly. Sure some people have commented on the hole protector needing upgrading, some would like to see more lighting in the lower playfield, and a few have commented on balls coming off the ramps - but no one has said the original is better or even on par with the remake.

That’s because the purists haven’t gotten a chance to play them yet. But don’t worry. There will be many threads from original MB owners on how and why their original is so much better.

Isn't there a CGC sub-menu? I recall MMR has one. Maybe there's a master volume control in the CGC menu that you can crank up.
I was playing a CE on location at Press Start arcade in Reno over the last two days and this happened several times, additionally the Monster Pit scoop guard was all beat up and will soon need to be replaced. Apparently, this is the second one they've been through since the game was put on location.. Also, ton of dimpling on the PF. It feels like a Stern rendition of MB, shots are mostly on but it's got a certain hard to define feeling of "cheapness" to it.. Plays perfectly but just seems slight off to me.
Quoted from ShinyBall:Not you ...post #1431 added " wide purple (4) Cointaker LEDs" which is fine..just wondered.
