I have a UV LED strip from Titan that is 6.3v. The coin lights say 12v. Are people tapping into the GI lights somewhere to run the 6.3v for a trough light? I added glow rings to the bottom 1/3 of the playfield, now I just need the glow light

you can’t use 5v strips to tap into the gi as it’s all rgb. I can’t recall if the classic has regular GI, but the se and le do not. You have to draw power off the boards. We have some UV strips that some have used for AFMr, we could wire some up if you are interested.

Could you point out where on the boards to tap for GI?

Thanks for the help! I will post pics of the semi-custom Lermods solution once installed.

Thanks for the offer, but can't add that kind of cash. Glad you like both. Haven't had the experience with MB, but CC is great. CGC does make a good pin, for sure!

Just joined the club with a low play LE. Ive always wanted one. I cleaned waxed and then played 2 games didnt even check if it was level. Put up 600 mil and got all instruments into Monsters of Rock. Heh Im guessing that will be my best game ever....Want to make the game a bit more difficult so I will open the outlanes a bit, but what is the concensus on proper pitch for this game? 6.5?

The trick with my machine is to get the pitch just right so that the ball doesn't get hung up on the left bride of Frank ramp wireform. Too steep and it's difficult, too low, and the ball gets stuck on a roll back weak shot. 6.5 to 7 should be fine but your particular game may need fine tuning.

Mine started doing this on the ramp. I’ll have to adjust pitch and see.

If you bought used, I assumed you did, I always reset mine to factory. I’ve bought a few games where the prior owner had changed our lanes and settings to easy and getting to the end is fun but not every other game.

I officially joined the club today with a HUO Classic. I got it home and added the color display chip, under cabinet lighting, speaker lights, and the Flyland art blades. I'll be adding 3-4 spotlights and trough lighting to brighten up the playfield. Still looking for a nice topper.

This is my first cgc game. And im used to sterns/jjps. The right flipper seems to he delayed every few hundred hits, or it doesnt fire. Is that a common issue? What would it typically be? I guess just check the leaf switches?

I'd check if the coil stop is on tight. Then clean the flipper button optos.

Hey everyone, thinking about becoming a member as I am seriously considering a MBr SE. will this pair well with my CCr & AFMr? I have been torn between adding a MBr & a GZ pro to my small collection.

I got one with AFMr and MMr. If you like the game go for it. I love MBr for the change of pace in rules and it being a little shallower and easier to achieve things.

Having a collection of CGC remakes would be awesome! Godzilla is like adding the cherry on top. Your collection would be amazing. Only thing I would do different is add a 5th machine...there's something about an odd number vs. an even number of machines in a small collection.

Any chance it is activating the Phantom Flip?

I'd say so. It plays a tad different and has a easier rule set but lots of fun. My family enjoy it more than MM even. I'll have a CCr soon..... but I'd take a full cgc remake row

While having a fundamental opposition to spending $10K on a pinball machine I think I’m going to have to bite the bullet with MB, I love it every time I play it so it’s going to be the next one I buy. I’m going to have to sell something off for space reasons anyway so at least I won’t feel the full impact of coming 100% out of pocket.

Hey neighbor! MBr is awesome (obviously why we are in this group . I have CCr and MBr and IMO they are very different, which I love. More casual players that come over tend to gravitate towards MBr.

MB is pretty damn fun. It and CCr are a crowd favorite among non pinball junkies at my place, which I like. All the games you list are classic B/W era games that are awesome, but play pretty similarly. The exception here is GZ. Holy crap is it different from the others. It's an awesome game in its own right. I'm not gonna say it's better or worse than the others, just very very different. Much faster and much deeper rule wise, etc... you can't go wrong either way. I'd go GZ to mix up the pace a bit, or MB to have a "theme" of sorts to your collection.

Thanks for the advice…..I’m new to pinside and new to having a home use pinball machine as for the past decade all my fun money went to my sons travel hockey expenses! All these new games seem so complex!

I grew up in the 90s on these B/W games so that’s why I went with the remakes (had a dr who that I loved but no one else in the family did so instead of collecting dust it found a new home where it would get played more).

You’re right, CCr is a hit with everyone….casual players get 1 game on AFM and walk away! And I feel you’re right about MBr, it’s a very welcoming game for everyone! But GZ flips that switch for me…..it’s a hard call since I have limited space (5 pins max) and limited money! I may have to do some more side jobs and get both, though my wife would probably not agree with that!!

I have CCr and just picked up MBr this week. They're a great pair to have together. My 10 yo son can't stop playing MB.

Good evening… I’ve had both MB and GZ Premium in my gameroom. I recently sold MB after about a year. Cant see GZ going anywhere anytime soon.

MB is a beautiful pin and a classic absolutely no doubt. It is extremely approachable for all and easy to explain to guests. The kids absolutely love it. That said, it did get a bit old and repetitive fairly quick for me personally. I am slightly above average at best btw…. I also have MM and AFM and its a notch below those for me. Ive played CC on location and think I prefer it to MB and can probably be had for less $$ than MB…if that matters.

GZ just has the total package…looks great, shoots fantastic with a unique layout, deep creative rules, good video assets and callouts…

Waaay more to do long term than MB but maybe that is not a big deal.

All my opinions of course…the good thing…there is no “wrong” choice here. Good luck with the decision and keep us posted on what happens!

Are the figures still available on PPS? The driver board is available, the light parts are just white and RGB leds, there are multiple channels in the circuit, an individual white flashers circuit and muxxed 3 chanels for RGB strip lights, I believe, plus the background is LED illuminated. You could make one that works pretty quickly if you have the sculps and the driver board. just note the characters up top are highlighted when they have callouts so LED arangement may be important. The schematic should be in the manual and there should be a parts list for the thing somewhere you could use to get the basics working. They have offered the sculps in the past, I know, I bought a set as an insurance policy on breaking any of mine while shipping it back and forth to the local Zapcon retro arcade and pinball show, which will return hopefully in Spring of 2024.

Good luck. BH

The topper is awesome. I'm curious why any LE owner would sell their topper given it's part of what makes the LE an LE. Otherwise, why not just get an SE and powdercoat it and save the money.

I agree, but I asked because I saw that one sold and was archived in the market, so I figured someone else might want to sell one.

As a matter of fact I just bought an LE topper for my SE. The seller bought it from a guy who couldn’t fit the topper on his LE in his basement, so he sold it.

I got some more work done on Monster Bash this evening. Red scoop light, trough lighting, some playfield lighting, and fluorescent green plastic protectors. That's how the this game is supposed to look!

I also added a shaker and changed the setting to strong. It doesn't come on that often. This is the first game I've added a shaker to and think it was a waste of money.

MB doesn't use the shaker much. You could repurpose it to another game though!

Hi everyone!

I recently got a CGC MB Remake and am loving it!!

I was wondering though, is there a way to lower the default high scores? I’ve reset high scores, reset H.S.T.D. but the default high scores are still out of my range at the moment. Is there a way to lower them?

Thank you

It's tricky and may take a couple tries.

Go into Adjustments. High Score Adjustments A.4 then in 05, 06, 07, 08, lower them.

Then get out of adjustments back to attract mode. Then hold the Test button for 5 to 10 seconds or so.

Any kind of luck that will do it.

Is anyone using these side blades? I believe they are from Tilt Graphics and are vinyl stickers vs a blade you attach…

https://mezelmods.com/products/monster-bash-pinball-gameblades?contact_posted=true#contact_form

I’m wondering if they are any good and if they’ll ruin my cabinet if I try to remove…(I know they say they can be repositioned, but figured I’d ask.

Thank you!!
