Quoted from Daditude:You can also start it by putting the following "code" in, before the first ball with credits in the machine (or free play) and before launching FIRST BALL:
Press the left flipper 11 times, then press the right flipper once, the left flipper 5 times, the right flipper once, the press the left flipper 6 times, then press the right flipper once.
Yes, I knew there was a code to start it, but I don't want to spoil it that way. I'll get to 44 on my own at some point.
Haha, me too..but I know reality is I doubt I'll ever get to it on my own..I'll probably give in at some point when I'm bored.
Quoted from zaki:What is lymans lenient? Just a mode?
Just a new set of call outs, not a mode, I believe.

What does this do?

Lyman's Lament. Named after the software designer Lyman Sheats.
During normal play in Monster Bash, the mode named Lyman’s Lament requires 44 shots to the scoop. This mode, when reached with all 44 successful shots, rewards the player with 25x bonus and raises the values of each switch, leading to large scores and enormous bonuses when achieved. Players can also enter a flipper code at the beginning of the game to reach Lyman’s Lament after only 1 shot to the scoop, but the game does not normally award the 25x or raised switched values when using the flipper code.
Lyman also performs the callouts. It is pretty funny.

Those look great! Even better than the original. I may put some in my Elvira too
Are your guys playfields virtually covered in dimples? I don’t really mind it but I want to make sure that it is normal for this game to dimple a lot.

Mine has lots of micro-dimples. It feels totally smooth, but in just the right lighting (if you look closely) you can see the distorted reflections in the clear coat.
It does not seem to affect the ball - and I believe that I would notice if it did - so I am not all that concerned.
OTOH, my Whitewater (which I have owned for over 20 years) does not have any visible dimpling (it does have significant planking though). So, basically, you just can't win.

Yep, lots of dimpling here, too. Particularly near and around Frank.

I had dimples after just a few plays and at first it was kind of alarming as CGC play fields are supposed to be the best. I think it's the cure time that is the difference. I just got a MMRE and even after 100 plays not one dimple which i think is because they had the play fields done and sitting for a much longer time. The dimple thing is always a concern, but at least its not like some of the newer Sterns that look like the moon with craters.
That's true. Two top restorers have told me the longer you can wait before playing and let it cure, the better. It's not a 100% fix, but will significantly reduce dimples. I let my new cgc games sit for long as possible. Hard, very hard!
Wondering if anyone can recommend the best place to buy the color chip upgrade for the classic edition online. Would have to ship to Canada. Thanks!

Your distributor who sold you the game.
Or Planetary Pinball Supply. If not on their website, email Sara - [email protected]

I just bought mine here this week. Ordered Sunday and got it in the mail Tuesday. Was a few bucks less than PPS with shipping being free. Not seeing Canada on the site, but since it's a mailable part it seems like they would ship to you.

Quoted from guss:Can SE owners chime in if RGB can be turned on/off in settings or set to a steady color?
Yes they can. In the CGC menu. Starts on page 1-10 in the manual.

Just ordered one, an SE from Cointaker after several deals for an original fell through.
Been off of Pinside for about 4 years after selling off all my games I bought my TAF back and now replacing my MB.
Wasn't able to restart my old handle but you old timers will be able to figure out who I am by my new handle.

Thanks, couldn't reactivate my old acct. and cannot get verified so I cannot contact the mods.
Creating another acct. was the only way to get on here. :/
Probably going to get kicked off now for having two accounts.

This is normal on all new games, they go away once the PF gets uniformly pounded.

I am moving my LE to another location.
Should I take the topper off for transportation? I feel the topper is pretty heavy.
Thanks for your input.

Across the room, or across the State?
Does anyone know if the MBr comes with the Drac Trac bracket?
I want to order a Kerry for the Mosh Pit and I will pick up a bracket if it isn't included.

You mean the plastic protector? Yes it does
Quoted from nicoy3k:You mean the plastic protector? Yes it does
No, the metal bracket that supports the Drac Trac under the PF.

Frankenstein nightmare! Just got the game. A few plays in Frankie flops face down onto the machine. Guys who set it up came back and supposedly fixed it but now he doesn't go back down properly either. Help!!! Also getting a "check switch 28" message. Unfortunately i am not mechanically inclined so it is time for me to learn.

Better post some photos, kind of hard to help until we can see what the guy did! He is fixed at the feet but should move freely when you lift him off the table

Get them back there to fix it right.
Switch 28 is likely up the playfield behind Frank and he's stopping balls from getting past him.

Quick question. How many shots up the ramp do you need to start the Frank Comes Alive multiball? The ramp shot opened for me but after two shots up nothing happened.

One...that probably means the first switch the ball gets to after frank is not registering the ball going past it.
