Lol. Well, I’m an idiot. I thought these were magnets. Seemed small for magnets.
Quoted from Pinfactory2000:So magnets. What do they do in MB and how often are they used? I am using the supplied balls but I’m not really seeing any magnet use?
There are magnets in MB...right? Lol
No magnets
Quoted from Pinfactory2000:I thought these were magnets. Seemed small for magnets.
Those are the tops of fin screws, holding assemblies below the playfield to the underside of the playfield.
Like what holds pop bumper coil brackets up.

I wanted to see if this is common on other machines? It almost looks like the bulbs are ghosting but the Inserts are so close together that it creates overlap of the light. I’m just curious what others have done or maybe it doesn’t bother them? See the link below....thoughts?

Hah, funny I thought the same thing at first, but no, they are part of the piece that holds Draculas mech in place. I assume it comes through the top because of it's weight and how it moves.
Quoted from Zablon:I assume it comes through the top because of it's weight and how it moves.
And a T Nut in plain site in the middle of the playfield would be unsightly and impact the ball.

um... what?

What I asked is whether MB had magnets.
It doesn’t. I was wrong.
PM me with further confusion.

Aah. It doesn't. But it's still a kick ass game!

Yeah the light bleed was annoying me too, you need to turn down the leds some in the cgc menu of the game. You can access these settings by holding the test button for 4 seconds.
Quoted from Lermods:What’s your game pitch at? I set mine at like 6.8-7. I had the same issue and changing pitch helped.
Thanks. I will try it, although its pretty high up on the back adjusters already. My angle gauge is very inaccurate so I do not know the number of my pitch.

I use the Clinometer app for my pixel, works great.

You could isolate the light by cutting toilet paper roll in 1”-2” tubes and cutting to fit around the lamp assy.
Just an idea
I'm doing the first run for my interactive LED flipper button kits for AFMr, and a few owners have asked if they can also purchase for their MBr. Since my mod will work in either game, I thought I would post here to see if anyone was interested. I will need commitments/payment by Sunday morning so that I can order appropriately, so please PM me if interested.
Please see this post for notification & payment deadline to make first round: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/attack-from-mars-remake-afmr-owners-club/page/155#post-5296018
Added over 3 years ago:Saturday morning check in on LED flipper button kits.
Thus far 16 kits have been reserved, and 14 have already been paid for. Reminder that the deadline for ordering & payment is tomorrow at 1:00PM Central. After the cutoff, I'm going to order all components so that I can get everything in, made, and shipped as quickly as possible.
Fellow MBr owners,
Im having an issue with the ball not ejecting from trough properly. Not sure if its getting hung up somewhere...i adjusted trough coil setting with default, +1, max with same issue. If anyone has had this issue before with fix it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Quoted from CHIEF1893:Not sure if its getting hung up somewhere...
If changing VUK strength up or down doesn't do it. Try and see if the ball hits the deflector at the top of the ball trough end and goes back down. If so, this will help, for WOZ, but same fix.

Yes Sir hits the deflector at top od trough and falls back down. I will give this solution a shot! Thank you.

Worked like a charm!!!!!!

Sunday morning check in on ordering LED flipper button kits. I've had several MBr owners already commit and pay (thank you), but if anyone else is interested today at 1:00 PM Central is the ordering cutoff. Please PM me for payment details if interested.
Does anybody know a source for the interactive led bulbs, PIN-LMP-LEDRGB? Planetary pinball said they would have them in about a month 9 months ago.
Great tech support from CGC. My MBR LE display was going to all green at times. I put in a ticket and got a call back the same day from Arturo Martinez. We talked through the problem and decided it must be a faulty connector that ran to the back of the display. CGC sent a new connector and that solved the problem.
Quoted from Who-Dey:MBRSE or JP Premium? Hmm.....
I have MBrLE and JP Prem - they each have their place. I got my MBr because for people who don’t play pinball MBr is a great bang around game - simple rules, fun shots. JP has a very complex ruleset and some very tight shots but super fun for pinballers - not the best beginner game.
Just my $0.02

But if you could only keep one which would it be?
What color are people going with for the slings and flipper rubber? I’m getting ready to add some Titans.
Quoted from Who-Dey:But if you could only keep one which would it be?
Luckily, I have room for two and don’t need to decide....
Quoted from SkillShot:What color are people going with for the slings and flipper rubber? I’m getting ready to add some Titans.
I tried Titans on both my machines and ended up putting traditional rubber back on the flippers, slings, and outlanes. Changed the shots and dynamics too much. I still have Titans on the posts and playfield but they’re not for me on the bottom 1/3rd.

I am curious, could you explain the “Changed the shots and dynamics too much”? I have yet to replace any rubbers on my machine and am curious to know “how” it changed. I do not want to switch to something else only to find out I don’t like it. Kinda like what happened to you. Thanks
Has anyone been waiting for a replacement plasma disc, and if so, how long have you been waiting? Even though I enjoy talking to him I don't want to bug Edwin about it again, but I have been waiting a couple months now. Never worked out of the box. Just wondering if anyone's received one in the past month or two. About 6 weeks ago he took my CC# for RMA purposes and I thought he said they were shipping, but I must've misheard.

I did glow green, looks great. Will attach a pic later.

Get yourself to an arcade and play both! Decide then. MB is an all time classic for a reason. Rules set simple and easy to learn, game is hard to master.
You have plenty of time.to make your mind up.

Nobody or no arcade near me has a MBR is the problem. I will see one next week at the pinball show again though so that will help.

Glow in the dark looks good on the slings. I went with black Titan flippers (to go with the black and white spiderweb flipper toppers from ulek).

The ball bounces a little different off the Titans than the stock rubber. The Titans have a different hardness than the rubber so the ball reacts a little different when it bounces off them. I also felt that the Titans on the flippers changed the angles too much and threw my shots off - whether it’s the ‘stickiness’ putting english on the ball or just the way the energy transfers from the flipper to the ball - it just changed the game too much for my taste.
I just installed a shaker motor in my monster Bash special edition remake and I go into the service menu and the motor works perfect. I was curious if there's an adjustment I need to make in the menu to turn it on? The reason I ask is I'm only played a couple But I haven't experienced the shaker working yet and gameplay, could somebody let me know when I should expect to experience it?

Pop bumpers

That’s it??? Wondering now if a shaker was worth it. Is there anything to adjust them or turn them on in the regular menus?

No, it’s more active than that, just giving an example so you can see if it’s working. Are you running the most recent code? Earlier code had limited use.
Quoted from Yesh23:Is there anything to adjust them or turn them on in the regular menus?
In the manual page 1-15, the CGC menu has the only adjustment, for the shaker strength.
Nothing in the Williams menu.

I put in Perfect Play green slings and purple flippers.

Is CGC now selling the knocker for MBr or do you get it from PPS?
I can not find it on either site?
Thanks,

I don't know if it's available yet.
When it is, you'd buy it from PPS.

My shaker is set to default which I assume is normal. It works when I go into the service menu test but during gameplay I’ve never gotten it to work does anybody have an idea of what might be going on?
Quoted from Dantesmark:Is the shaker worth getting on mbrse?
Whens it go off?
YES.

How come a shaker motor for a Stern Pin (ie: Star Wars Pro , Deadpool, etc...) costs only $110 but
one for MBRSE is upwards to $179 ?
Seems a bit excessive to me.. (supply and demand?)
