Quoted from Bublehead:

One other thing about the scoop SDTM’s, I found a mechanical solution that I have done along with the wavy washer and piece of foam inside the scoop. I literally locked the old visegrips on the top and gave the whole scoop a 1 to 2 degree twist to the left. This now aims really hot shots out of the scoop right at the pivot of the left flipper, no higher, and when it poots one out, like a misfire or soft eject, the ball gets to at least the meat of the tip of the left flipper, as in it will always rebound to the right flipper or rebound to be controllable. No more STDM or loss of control. CGC has told me they are looking at this issue when I talked with a rep about it, but I said since I have got mine tweeked, I have had no major issues since. I am getting to MOR regularly, my CG is 540M+, and so I consider mine as good as she gets right now.

The real issue appears to be with the strength of the eject - sometimes being only just enough to lift the ball out so that it simply rolls straight down. A proper fix should probably still be made, even if you have managed to divert the bad behavior temporarily.
I (LE) and my neighbor (also LE) are still awaiting a fix as well.

How do you all think this compares to ghost busters?. I was thinking of getting a gb pro or standard mb

I would take a MBr all day long before even considering Ghostbusters....it's annoying & repetitive as all hell...MBr at least has "substance".

#5706 4 years ago

MBR is a no brainer. Played GB again recently and still didn’t like it. I found it difficult and annoying. MBR on the other hand is very enjoyable for me. Play them both because you will get a wide variety of answers

#5707 4 years ago

Ugh. ANYTHING but Ghostbusters.

#5708 4 years ago

lermods plasma disk blue, green, or multicolor? I'm leaning blue but wish they did a better job showing a video of each.

Tough call, MBr is probably the best theme ever but gb is a whole lot deeper and a pro costs about $1500 less. Fun factor I would say they are even.

I think CGC is brutally aware of this and are more than likely working on it. I believe your observations are similar to mine, there is a electrical reason (such as a timing issue on the scoop firing pulse) that makes ejects from the scoop differ in strength at times. My fix turned the aim of the scoop more to the left so soft ejects still make it to the left flipper tip and are recoverable. Standard full strenghth ejects from the scoop hit the flipper bat at the shaft end 90%, but on a really strong eject it makes it to the left inlane guide, something you really don’t want it to do since it will eventually mushroom the stainless at that spot, and possibly nick your balls, which then they slowly destroy your playfield with little curly ball trails.

In the club now since my MBR LE #726 arrived Monday June 17th just a week shy of waiting 8 months. Have had no issues after unboxing it and impressed with the quality.

Congrats!
I had mine for 4 months..Zero issues. I have yet to have to adjust anything, quality is amazing..Very impressed with CGC

Nearly 8 months after ordering, my MB LE finally arrived today and appears to be in pretty good shape with the exception of the fact that the ball gets stuck on the left ramp right after the switch. Does anyone know an easy fix for this? I haven't completely leveled the game yet but that is not going to help here as the ball definitely doesn't have enough space to clear the ramp unless I pull on the wireform a bit. I could probably pull on ramp enough to bend it slightly more open but I don't want to risk making something worse if that's the wrong move here so I figured i'd ask first.

Wax it!

#5716 4 years ago

I'll try waxing first but the ball is really squeezed there. I have to use a tiny bit of pressure to even push it through.

The holy grail has arrived in the holy land. This morning. I live about 20 minutes from the airport. so close...
Now comes the wait for customs clearance and all those other good things you mentioned :-p
Let's see how that goes, and how fast its gonna make it to its final destination.

Very limited quantity of Monster Bash topper figure sets - have been trying to pry these out of Chicago Gaming for months - these are great additions to a desk or other places - has threaded inserts on bottom ...

Joining the club! This is a game I wanted to own for a long time. I’ve only ever played a few beat up/routed MB’s, so it’s amazing to play a new one!

Now that I've got my ramp issue fixed my game has been playing great. No STDM from the scoop and the feed from the right orbit and creature seems pretty good as well. The only question I have is I went to install the tilt bob today and can't find the locking wingnut anywhere. Was that supposed to be in the bag with the tilt bobber or would it be someplace else?

#5734 4 years ago

My game came with a compression spring for the tilt bob. It was in the same bag.

I received LE 425 last Friday. The game plays wonderfully, well done CGC! I need to fix some minor things like the scoop firing SDTM, but I think I'll just be playing the game for a while instead..

I’d like to replace the rubbers in the upper right (mummy) pop bumper section w/ orange titans... are those 3/16 or 5/16 rings on all the posts?

Just look in the owner's manual, everything is listed there.

Mine didn’t come with one, but it’s prolly available online?
Edit: manual just calls them black rubber bumpers don’t see a size...
Edit again: titan has them listed as 3/16

Got notification mine is ready to ship and made the final payment on mine on Friday.

#5743 4 years ago

Ordered my MB LE from Candice at pinballs.com. They have some in stock ready to ship. Ordered 06-25-19 and it will arrive tomorrow 07-03-19.

#5744 4 years ago

Kinda surprised to see so many still around at so many dealers...this is such a good looking machine.

#5745 4 years ago

going to sfge to pick up mb le because of narrow streets on my brothers neighborhood

Other than the obvious assembly and 6.5 degree playffield setting, is there anything else to do before playing?

I've had my game for almost 7 months now, got it a bit before Christmas, and it still plays great.

I've had no issues other than the early problem with one corner of a side decal lifting. I pushed it back down and put on a set of plexi protectors on the flipper buttons to keep my hands away from that seam. All is well since.

Glad to see that everyone is getting their machines, even those overseas!
